. . . Oh God. It started about 80% with the battery. I spent about a couple of hours cleaning and drying the USB port, used small brush to strip away any liquid or debris from it. Used an air blower pump, and also tried the air conditioner's exhaust to dry it, and nothing works for several hours of drying and cleaning till I ended up with just 20% of the battery. So I tried RUclips to find solutions, watched two videos and tried it, still it didn't worked. So that's why it's gave me doubt why those two videos have a bunch of dislikes. Till I ended up with your video, I noticed that it doesn't have that much of dislikes. While watching your video, I was reading the comments and got amazed with the positive response. And I'm not done yet watching the video but hurried to try your instructions and thanks God! It worked!!! So I hit the " like " button and " subscribed " immediately. Thanks Bro, saved me from going to a technician, hard resetting, nor buying new phone.👌😁
After trying a number of other suggested fixes, this was the only fix that worked. I saw in one other video that you need to plug in as soon as you see the brand sign appearing when you turn on the phone. That didn't work and as explained in this video, I waited a bit before plugging it in again when the phone was turning on. Thanks again for sharing this fix...Legend.
Hi, I tried most of the method but didn't work. Finally I found a similar method. Here are the step: 1. Turn off phone. 2. Plug in charger. 3. Immediately press power button and volume down together. 4. Keep pressing until the charging symbol flashing. 5. Then release power button, but keep pressing volume down button. 6. Finally, phone is charged and the percentage will appear. Hopefully everyone can solve this issue.
Just ran into this issue and you saved me so much stress. Thank you. My ohone didn't have any power though so I plugged it in, used the power and volume button way of switching it on and then removed the charger as soon as it went on. Then, when the enter pin screen came on,I immediately plugged the charger in. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much! That moisture error message was driving me insane until I watched your video. I followed your instructions, and now everything works perfectly! I subscribed to your channel based purely on your solution to this problem! THANK YOU!!!
OMG I have been going crazy and having major anxiety for the last few days because my phone had this alert no matter what I did!! I found your video and decided to just give it a go and IT WORKED!!!! I was using a "non-fast charging" charger this whole time and finally swapped it for the one that came with the phone, did what you said, and now it's charging!! Thank you so much!! If it weren't for people like you who shared your findings, I would still be stuck! I've got my phone back!! I hope it stays now :)
If you hit the issue often and this fix doesn't work - you can also try using the power button and volume down at the same time. It usually starts and charges fine also with that fix. I will make another video with that fix :)
Just switching to the original Samsung charger worked for me! I was fully out of power so didn't have the option to turn it on at all. Just plugged it in and it started working again (after trying to dry it for 30 mins).
Fantastic it works, tried cleanining the port with a toothpick split in 1/2 so small enough removed dust & hair etc then a hair dryer but still nothing but your power trick worked, thank you so much
Thought my phone would die and i wouldnt get another one until i can pay for it myself. Had a heart attack, ive taken my phone into the shower, in the bath, to humid areas, never had a problem, just walked out of the school bathroom and saw this thing going on and my battery draining at 5% per minute, thanks dude, saved my life

I charged my S10 at 1a.m. while it was 0%. When I woke up, I saw it was 92% and it said that there was moisture in the charging port. I tried cleaning the charging port, but it did not work. But when I listened to your instructions, it worked! Thanks alot!
Earlier today, I just encountered this issue with my Note10+, for the first time. Based on what I'm reading it seems there are 2 scenarios where this occurs. 1) Water genuinely gets into the charging area and creates an issue. 2) There's some other software/hardware glitch that occurs where a sensor thinks the charging area of the phone has moisture even though it may not at all. I was in a boat last night where a large wave crashed onboard. We all got a little wet. I was holding my phone in my hand when it happened. The phone didn't seem that wet and worked fine until I woke up this AM and then I noticed the moisture error. I freaked out and started reading up on what could be the issue. I can't afford to be without a phone or be in a situation where the phone won't charge. So I started thinking hard and fast. In the end I took what I had in my hotel room (a hairdryer) and blasted the charging port area for 10 seconds. The moisture error didn't immediately go away but within several minutes it was gone and phone charging was allowed again. My guess is as charging tends to heat up the phone in and of itself that being able to charge the phone again dried up any other residual moisture. So at the end of the day perhaps I lucked out. I've never had this issue before and I think it was likely a legitimate issue where a drop of water may have gotten to a place it didn't belong. There are other instances on here where I'm seeing people who live in the desert with the phone never near water report the same error. I think that may be an entirely completely different software/hardware issue for which there is no easy remedy.
Yes when there is actually water in the port I recommend drying it. This solution applies when there's no water at all! The sensor triggers every single time my phone runs out of battery...
@@w2best Well I guess I have to tell the rest of the story now. A week later, so that would be yesterday, I started getting the 'moisture' error again. It made no sense at all. The phone wasn't near water. It had been charging just fine just minutes earlier. On top of that, I noticed the phone was charging very slow - no fast charging. So, now I had a phone that at any moment could inexplicably be unable to charge, and when it was charging, it was charging slow as hell. That's not something I could tolerate and it set me off. I've been a Samsung fan since the first S3 I got. But, yesterday, I marched down to AT&T and traded my Note10+ for an iPhone 11 Pro Max. Never had an iPhone before. But, for $1100 I expect better .... way better.... the Note10+ had to go. I like things that work and I don't give a damn which badge they wear either..... hopefully I'll have better luck with the iPhone.
What worked for me was to plug my phone into my computer with the usb cable and try to transfer files. After connecting the cable and selecting the transfer file option, the beeping stopped immediately, and it could charge correctly with the cable.
Thanks this actually works. I fixed it before by messing around with it like this but i had forgotten how to do it but now i know how to fix it if it happens again. Thanks for the short, easy video :)
I got my phone repaired a month ago again for the same issue of moisture detector. Have spend almost 1500rs for it. I was worried that i have to pay again for the same, but ua video has saved me a lot. Thankyou.

the phone i'm working with was drained to the point of not even getting to the samsung screen, but i tried plugging it in repeatedly until it had just barely enough charge to show the startup and then used this method. stay strong y'all, there's hope!

Ok Mr.Goodman. You saved my life. My phone battery was about 12%. Then I use my old charger adaptor and new charger port (since my charger port is broken). I did it one time and it works! Thank you so much! I cant sleep now.
I bought this note 20 ultra for 1.2 grand not to detect a non existing moisture fucking shit and making me not able to charge while having no choice of removing this feature.

so I did this and it worked the first time but the thing is I never got my phone wet and now it wont charge at all, I've tried multiple outlets and chargers. I've restarted and turned off the phone and it still wont work. Any suggestions?
Mine did the same sometimes. Wireless charger. I got a cheap one on amazon tho its not perfect lol. My water thing would come and go but its been weeks now.

Is it safe to switch off the phone when charging?
Not workin for me I have the same model when I plug the charger the phone makes noise with alert and a message about the chargerport is moistered or dust in it idk but not working for me
thank you .. this happened to me tonight at 01.00 AM with a battery of 7% lol and i needed my phone badly for an important matter .. at first i thought my cable was damaged cuz i knew for sure it wasnt wet or humid .. and i actually started smelling some burns on my cable so i didnt wanna risk and try to plug it back to my phone (S9 plus) but after following your steps it finally worked
I couldn't start my phone with 0%, it just won't start up. Then I charged it with a wireless charger and got it to 1-2%. I then tried to charge it normally with the fast charger and the phone went crazy with errors telling me to pull out the plug because its moist inside. I still can't charge my phone for over 20 hours :(
When mine won't start I plug a wired charger in and then it will reach 1% before the sensor gets activated. Then I use the solution as in the video and it works fine
My trick is to put the hairdryer in full mode blow some air in and the message will go away even though it isn't wet. I guess the heat alters the moisterising sensor
It really works my phone slipped from my hand and landed into a bucket full of water so i tried it out and turns out this actually works would consider this to anyone who's facing the same problem
Yesterday there was a lot of moisture in the air, my A52 gave this error also. I tried something with rice, but it didn´t help. This morning I saw your channel and your tip worked, I´m very glad about that! It seems that this solution works also for the new models. Thank you!
I kind of wonder if Samsung programmed the phone to do this. It would be a really easy way to get people to purchase a new phone. and if they bring it to Samsung they could use it to void the phones warranty. Of course this is just a theory. I just find it odd that it only happens when the battery is low and seems to mostly affect newer models. In any case thank you.
Definitely the wrong way any way because I'll be switching away from Samsung, still experiencing this issue, absolute joke of a company, the port is perfectly fine and still messing up, how they havent fixed this when its been present in 6 PHONES now...
It still show that even though i turn it back on I'm still struggling for this and my Samsung S20 It's gonna die so I'm Using my LG Stylus 4 so I can find information about this still didn't work
Correct bro, thx for uploading this video, would've been perfect for me 4 years ago lol, I had a S8+ and I had the same problem and I was devastated about it cause I was sure I wasn't using my phone near any kind of liquid. I bought a wireless charger at first. After few weeks I was messing around with the cable trying to see if it works and when it was on it was charging!! I stumbled into this solution and I never let my phone reaches 0% ever since until I bought a new phone. When I saw your video I thought you've had resolved this issue entirely 😂 so I can go back using my S8+. Best of luck brother, keep up the good 💪🏻
Mine does it even when battery is >50% even with trying this work around :( bah. No work around work only wireless charge, it goes away sometimes but randomly comes back. Phone is dryer than mars.
I have the same issue. Mine never had contact with any water and I can't seem to get the sensor to go off and stay off. I tried rice, wireless charging. I am going to try this method but I am not holding much hope. It is super annoying!!

does it still do this after like a few days? because the workaround work but after it fully charge I pull the plug it says detect moisture again.I;m quite sire my phone is dry now and not a lot of water seeped in earlier it was just 1 drop while I was charging the phone and the water drop on my cable and the bottom of the screen.
Great video, I get this all the time if my battery dies, and was only able to get it going with a combination of wireless charger & rebooting in all different orders until it responded, sometimes taking hours, and never really found the right combination, only by luck. Tonight I had this issue again, and found an article that instructed to go to settings, search android system and then press force stop bottom right galaxy s9, then plug the charger in, that didn't work, but keeping the charger in, i kept pressing force stop, voila! After the 4th attempt it worked and the phone started charging. However, your fix seems quicker which i will definitely try next time this happens. Thanks for the content..

This seems to have worked for me. Thank you for this!!
Works for my S20 Ultra! Thanks!!!
It's amazing the issue is still not fixed...
How??
THIS DOES NOT WORK ON A GALAXY NOTE 10+ WHAT A WASTE OF TIME
2023 Still using my S8+, and thanks to you it seems it will keep going. Thanks a lot, you solved my problem.
Ok Mr.Goodman. You saved my life. My phone battery was about 12%. Then I use my old charger adaptor and new charger port (since my charger port is broken). I did it one time and it works! Thank you so much! I cant sleep now.
This problem makes me so raging that i wanna throw my phone into the wall
I bought this note 20 ultra for 1.2 grand not to detect a non existing moisture fucking shit and making me not able to charge while having no choice of removing this feature.
@@omniyambot9876 same 😑 like how did it get that fucking moisture. When i havent soaked this phone yet into the water.
@@realynradaza6827 it's like you having scammed with no other choice of control of your device and needing to throw another money just to use the very expensive phone.
@@omniyambot9876 hahahaha exactly. 😂 worst thing. Its not fully paid yet!

thank you so so much it really helped me a lot 😊 because if i didnt figure it out i might get a whoopin from my mom😭😭 im so so thankful for this video😭😭😭
My moms phone is at 6 and she’s so frustrated we trying everything 😭
so I did this and it worked the first time but the thing is I never got my phone wet and now it wont charge at all, I've tried multiple outlets and chargers. I've restarted and turned off the phone and it still wont work. Any suggestions?
Mine did the same sometimes. Wireless charger. I got a cheap one on amazon tho its not perfect lol. My water thing would come and go but its been weeks now.
@@eminemilly try putting your phone in rice for 2 - 3 nights
@@youtubepre3843 didnt work but had to keep dusting out the pen and headphone jack holes too. It has been gone for a while now. So weird. When I actually got my phone wet no sensor even came on lmao
@@eminemilly keep it in horizontal position no rice would go in
And you have try this for nights then it will work
@@youtubepre3843I've bought this phone March2021 just 3 months ago & I never got my phone wet but every morning I get to see this water drop icon..sometimes it disappears automatically, after some point of time this notification comes again..what I should do now any suggestions? Is it safe to switch off the phone when charging?
I have a Note 9 and this solution worked PERFECTLY. I had to try it like 3 times... but worked! Thanks so much!!!
Not workin for me I have the same model when I plug the charger the phone makes noise with alert and a message about the chargerport is moistered or dust in it idk but not working for me
@@AliG8torGamers
the hdmi will not work even if you fixit
thank you .. this happened to me tonight at 01.00 AM with a battery of 7% lol and i needed my phone badly for an important matter .. at first i thought my cable was damaged cuz i knew for sure it wasnt wet or humid .. and i actually started smelling some burns on my cable so i didnt wanna risk and try to plug it back to my phone (S9 plus) but after following your steps it finally worked
what type of important matter 🥵🥵
I couldn't start my phone with 0%, it just won't start up.
Then I charged it with a wireless charger and got it to 1-2%.
I then tried to charge it normally with the fast charger and the phone went crazy with errors telling me to pull out the plug because its moist inside.
I still can't charge my phone for over 20 hours :(
When mine won't start I plug a wired charger in and then it will reach 1% before the sensor gets activated. Then I use the solution as in the video and it works fine
You are a life saver my dad would have killed me
SAME
My trick is to put the hairdryer in full mode blow some air in and the message will go away even though it isn't wet. I guess the heat alters the moisterising sensor
dont be actin all different when ur phone blows up
It really works my phone slipped from my hand and landed into a bucket full of water so i tried it out and turns out this actually works would consider this to anyone who's facing the same problem
Yesterday there was a lot of moisture in the air, my A52 gave this error also. I tried something with rice, but it didn´t help. This morning I saw your channel and your tip worked, I´m very glad about that! It seems that this solution works also for the new models. Thank you!
After how many hours it worked?
my samsung a52s 5g same problem. but i cant try the tricks for now cuz i need original samsung charger. he say only samsung original lng dw gamitin.
Thank you this works. Luckily saw this video and that saved me from getting a wireless charger....pheww.. Bless you 🙏
That's great! I've used this solution for 1,5 years now, still don't own a wireless charger...
Kind of ironic right. Both my phone and my wife's just started doing it almost at the same time
Definitely the wrong way any way because I'll be switching away from Samsung, still experiencing this issue, absolute joke of a company, the port is perfectly fine and still messing up, how they havent fixed this when its been present in 6 PHONES now...
Tried this and it won't even allow me to charge my phone when it's switched off, I have a Samsung s20 Ultra. Has anybody else had this issue??
I have a note 10 plus and I have this issue. I'm at 19% now. I will still never switch to an IPhone 😆
Same! It also doesn't allow you to bypass the screen lock Moisture Detected notification
I had to buy a wireless charger but still have this issue and can't use my headphones or normal charger. Need to send my phone away I think..
@Diego Hidalgo I tried this but still nothing 😔 my sister works for EE and said it needs to be sent for repair and can take about 6 weeks..
@@ailaighrebekah1316 This is absolute BULL SH*T. I didn't pay 1200$ for a piece of crap. It's not even water damaged, completely dry
Thank you man it’s been 4 years and this video still saves me everytime so thank you ❤
samsung galaxy a33 5g, the same problem and your solution was the only one that worked, thank you so much
OMG thank you soo much! your a LIFE SAVER
It still show that even though i turn it back on I'm still struggling for this and my Samsung S20 It's gonna die so I'm Using my LG Stylus 4 so I can find information about this still didn't work
When the notification shows up - press power and volume down at the same time. Then it starts and will charge normally.

This doesn't work for the s20 models because upon lock screen it spams Moisture Detected
@@jeremygreen4974 I confirm it does not work
Thank you saved money on that 😅
Bro I saw more than 50 videos my phone is brand new a55 you are the only one who mastered this trick . Thanks
Best of luck brother, keep up the good 💪🏻
I'm the same! I used my s8 forever without letting it reach 0% and then using this solution when it did. At least 18 months like that!
I need help, mine doesnt work. When I do tthe thinbg you say it beeps and closes
When it charges out to 0% sometimes I have to stop this multiple times. And remember to use a fast charger for it to work.
I tried all the other tricks from other videos....this is the only solution that worked. Thankyou so much
I have galaxy tab A ...and holy f....I was so frustrated and just thinking of going to a store to fix it....bro u saved me seriously.....I have never been more relieved....I had important files in my tab and I really needed it today.....u r amazing
I LOVE YOU!!! FINALLY AFTER 1 DAY AND SO MUCH STRESS, I DIID EVERYTHING I COULD, I LEFT MY FONE DRYING WITH A FAN, I USED A TOOTHBRUSH, I DID EVERYTHING, NOTHING HAPPENED, NO VIDEO COULD HELP ME BESIDES THIS ONE! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH PEOPLE YOU HELPED WITH THIS VIDEO, THANK YOU, REALLY ❤❤❤
I'm glad I came accross your video, i was really paranoid about my tab, and I promise I tried your trick and God does it work for me! I'm thankful to you dude! You're amazing, may god bless you more!
I work at a restaurant and my phone got wet while I was doing dishes. When the sound played all of the sudden it scared the shit out of me I thought it was an emergency alert. It works now, thank you!
does it still do this after like a few days? because the workaround work but after it fully charge I pull the plug it says detect moisture again.I;m quite sire my phone is dry now and not a lot of water seeped in earlier it was just 1 drop while I was charging the phone and the water drop on my cable and the bottom of the screen.
i have watched around 4-5 videos on this issue but only your video solved my problem . Thank you 🔥
UNBELIEVABLE how it worked. Thank you you deserve this
Thank you so much ! Had this issue twice, first time resolved it by pure luck, but now I know how to do it consistently... thanks !
Thanks for the content..
you are a legend
