I've been living off a wireless charger for about 7 months and finally got it back to normal. @@user-cm4op2kz3y It's definitely not a moisture issue with my phone USB. I've tried cleaning with 100% alcohol, I've tried the hair drier and rice. Despite being waterproof if there is water in the charge port it can cause issues, if you noticed past devices covered that port , the phone is sealed but for your safety and that of the device moisture in the charge port can lead to short circuits.
Thanks what you said worked for me clear data on USB setting. All the other guides says clear cash but clearing the cache didn't help you need to clear data and restart.

I'm just worried that it will clear all my personal info including photographs if you could shed some light on purpose of clearing data within USB settings? Thanks in advance
The only way to fix it is as follows: I had this problem for about 5 months until 3 weeks ago when I got fed up with it. All you need is rubbing alcohol, a spare toothbrush electric or other, and a hair dryer. Dip the brush in the alcohol and scrub inside the usb port for about 10-15 minutes dipping repeatedly. Then once you can see either on the bristles or with a flashlight that it is now clean inside you use the hair dryer. Set it to medium or low and blow dry holding the phone so that the usb port is facing down towards the ground for about 10 minutes. Then wait 5 minutes plug it in and voila no more issues. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't had the error once. Almost feels like a brand new phone! Cheers all hope this helped you!

I took it to my service provider (Tmobile), it recommended to purchase a wireless charger. I was desperate but I didn't purchase it because I did not have my wallet with me. I did however, charged it about 15% at tmobile using a wireless charger at the store. I got home and started to search for a solution. Wow! I should have looked for this like a year ago. Ive been dealing with the moisture issue for more than a year and figured that I would have to get a new phone. I did figure on my own about wireless charging which is what I had been using, but all of my space on the phone was gone b/c I couldnt transfer everyything to my external hard drive. So I tried the alcohol in the port space then did step #2 where I turn the phone off then plug it in on the startup. Viola! Outrageous that it's taken me over a yr to find this out. Last night I freed up about 15 GB. Now I need to figure where the bulk of my storage space is at b/c I only have about 4 GB of photos which I will soon transfer, but that still leaves abou 45GB of used space....any suggestions out there? Maybe number of apps? Thanks so much for the help here...major fix!

It blinked off for awhile and then came back on .It was in a case but the the port was exposed,so i immediately tried to dry it ,but began to get the moisture in port error message even days after my phone was dried off.I'll try these methods tho.
I get the moisture detected fault when I have let my phone fully discharge. The method to partly insert charging cable and hold in the power on button worked for me. Thanks Ricardo !!!
It’s happened to me couple of times and the best way to fix it is just put a drop of hand sanitizer or alcohol on cells and chargers , after 2-3 minutes dry it by paper towels or any kind paper. I’m sure it will work.
Thank you what a lovely job. It did work for me turn off phone turn back on plug changer when it says Samsung before its turn on completely. Works for me.

I actually did have water in my USB port, I tried to blow in it and I tried to put a fan in front of it but nothing worked, but I still saw the warning I was worried that if I did try to plug it in while the phone was booting I would mess something up, so what I did was extremely simple all I did was get a paper towel and kind of put it into my USB port and the second I did that the notification was gone, you should do the same for your charger so that you know for sure that your phone won't Short circuit

Me to
Worked for my Pops so far dropped his phone running in rain and left it in a puddle I got it working with your vid so thank man. POWER ✊🏾
omg thanks for these tips my phone was on three percent and it saved me for now until I get a new charger. thanks for the help ricardo and keep up the tech vids.
Glad you eventually found my guide.
Hey man where are you ? I just wanna give you a hug because switching off and putting half usb and turning on put full usb in after seeing samsung logo trick worked for me and then tried 3 or 4 times plugging in and off to see if charging still works and it does thanks a ton 🤗🤗🤗
Thanks my dude, that really helped, my phone is charging again
Very nice
but did the water mark showed again ???
could you imagine that my phone fell in a bowl of hot soup.i was doing something and then my phone just slipped and fell into the bowl of soup. It blinked off for awhile and then came back on .It was in a case but the the port was exposed,so i immediately tried to dry it ,but began to get the moisture in port error message even days after my phone was dried off.I'll try these methods tho.
Some pieces must have got stuck in it use a brush with little water but not too roughly and let it dry...that might help
Update?
The trick at 1:46 really works! Thank you
I get the moisture detected fault when I have let my phone fully discharge.
Getting a wireless charger doesn't actually fix anything!
I did not say get a wireless charger, I have had cases where witless charging still worked despite the error, seems that will work only in some cases. Plus I gave several solutions one is bound to work so if you don't have a wireless charger try the other easier options.
It works for me. I cannot charge my device anymore using only the cable. But its charging using the wirelessly charging.
I just so happen to have a wireless charger and that worked as a workaround. I followed your second step and went into the USB settings clear my cache and that remove the error thank you my friend.
Hououin Kyouma i
It's an alternative, but not actually fix anything @Ricardo
Holy shizzle dood I'm subbing. I restarted and did that thing and it worked! Hopefully if anything else happens you have a video on it😁
System aps - USB charger - clear data - ( issue persisted ) but I performed a restart on my S9+ and success !!! Thanks very much, got me back to a working Samsung :)
👍
Thank you so much for this video, it was so helpful! My A8 phone does not support Wireless Charging, so I had to use the USB Settings method it worked!
This video is the best video on RUclips about this issue!
Well Done!

Lordddd!!!! Brother you've just saved me one whole lecture from my mom lol the device is an S8 and the plugging in of the charger immediately you see the android logo worked for me thank you so much!
I knpw those lectures well, worst part ists not yoir fault but better to avoid her rath lol all the best.
@Ceeday Epic glad I could help out! 😉
This was very helpful, the Storage deleting part, Thanks
Cheers mate. Been having problems for days. Definitely not damp. Putting the charger in when android sign appears worked a treat. Cheers bro, life saver
