holy shit same dude my heart was pump a thousand time faster when i heard that alarm and I panicked too because this is my moms old Phone until 1 hours later i could charge it again! it was a relief ( i have bad english and im from Malaysia)
THANK YOU!! My phone wasn't at 0% but this still worked. I didn't wait as long as you to plug in all the way because the Samsung logo ever dims but I plugged it as soon as the "Powered by android" disappeared and then a few seconds later it shows main screen, charging, no issue Follow up: 2 days later it gave me the moisture issue again and now this trick isn't working 😢 Follow up again: it worked after about 5 tries, I tried differing amount of having the usb plugged in from just barely touching to halfway plugged in and it worked when it was half way
it is probably your usb cable, but when it starts coming back like that i would also hit the hair dryer on the port for 5 min at least up close and then let the port cool off. the usb cable could be the cause of the short circuit. FYI there is no moisture sensor in the phone. any reading the port controller has that isnt what is expected will be regarded as a short and will trigger the moisture detection warning cycle to start. sometimes it is water, but many times it is a short or the port controller has its protection circuit damaged. So the phone really has no idea if it is actually water doing it. it seems that when you push the cable further in it will cause a short. if different cables do the same thing there must be damage to the usb port in phone. scrub it with a toothbrush. dont blow into the port as your breath has moisture, enough to cause a short. there are 4 pins that are positive out of 24 pins in the usb c port. they are super close. so there is really 8 places in the port that can cause a short. and so too with the cable. a way to see if your port is causing it is plugging in an otg adapter into the port and see if the water drop appears on the phone.
@d-man913 can u share a pic pointing to these 4 pins or a link to a video showing that i got my Bluetooth not working, too, after the phone started... kindly advise...
@@tahirbekbasha9275 i am about to put up another video but it is really hard to get everything compiled together and explain without it becoming a 30min video. So i am trying to get it down to like 10 min but it is a tricky exercise.
This is HANDS DOWN THE BEST TUTORIAL you'll ever find!! Thank you, my Sa72 is finally charging starting out at 0%. Here are my tips!! Follow the clear instructions in the video but with this minor detail: As soon as the white Samsung Galaxy text appears, wait 'til it dims for at least 4 secs, then, plug a "generic" phone charger into the phone, and if the white Samsung Galaxy text brightens up leave your phone to charge at least a good amount of battery percentage before messing with it. ANOTHER TIP!! Experiemt with different charging cables and adapters. Use the fast charger to give it some juice at the start but unplug it and have the "generic" charger pre-ready to follow the instructions above. Then, you're good to go!!
also your phone if it is not a s21 s22 or s23 will only if you read the spec have usb c 2.0 port. USB PD which allows super fast charging is only on the latest flagship models. The adaptive fast charger you have will charge just as fast with or without fast charging enabled. The adaptive fast charger in a samsung phone is allowed to break the rules whereas other chargers cannot. A super fast charger can only charge these devices as fast as an adaptive fast charger, a super fast charger uses power delivery protocol which 90% of the samsung phones do not have so the phone forces these PD chargers to limit their charge to your phones maximum which is 25w. to know how bad your phones usb c port actually is. a standard adaptive fast charger should work as it uses a usb a to usb c connection. if a super fast charger which is usb c on the charger end fails to communicate with your device, and plugging in anything otg causes the moisture detected to return, it means the protection circuit burned out on your usb c port controller and there is nothing you can do software wise to fix the situation. in this case anything that uses usb a to usb c cables will operate like connecting to a usb a port in your computer, you will also be able to transfer files. if you want to have otg operational and connect to usb c devices with the phone you will have to replace the usb c port with the controller pcb. Everyone believes it is software, that it cannot be the hardware but it is hardware related in the case i described and 80% of people with the issue are in this position. The adaptive charger cannot stop sending charge during a moisture detected warning, the phone beeps hard at you to remove it as it says leaving it in will damage the phone. USB C devices stop sending charge in emergency situations but not so with the adaptive charger, and it is the continuous charge that puts too much stress on the mosfet and capacitor in your hardware protecting the board that causes a burnout that can only be fixed by replacing it. Some people are lucky and it is only changing the cable, but one day the moisture detected will happen while charging and you are asleep, it will beep and you wont be fast enough to realise and will burn the circuit.
@@d-man913Im having this exact problem with my S9. I followed your instructions and when the phone came on its still saying moisture detected. Its definitely a hardware problem. Im so down because i just bought this phone...

Thank you so much! I have a Galaxy A54 and have had non-stop issues with the USB port. In South Africa we have regular blackouts called "loadshedding". We sometimes have it during the night when I put my phone on charge. When the power dips, my phone incessantly keeps waking up with a "USB connected/USB disconnected" notification. It doesn't stop until I restart the phone. Sometimes then I plug it back and it gives this moisture detected headache again. I love the A54, but this USB port can be a nightmare!

Thank you! It worked! I waited another 3-4 seconds when it switched from the very light text to the darker display text and then plugged it in and I was able to charge it. I have now also cleared the cache in the USB settings. Greets!
clearing the cache wont do much. i would think nothing at all. it is not software issues it is a hardware failing that triggered the moisture warning loop and if that failure in the port is consistently there the device will stay locked in the loop. So i can tell you now it was not moisture but you did have a short circuit.. Maybe you kicked the cable while charging or the common mistake jiggle the cable. yes playing around with it in the port used to get micro usb to work but doing that even slightly in usb c ports can cause a short circuit, NEVER JIGGLE A USB C PORT. if your phone was flat the charger would have been running at maximum which makes the short worse, also users forcing fast charging from the phone is putting your phone at the highest risk of port circuit short damage. You are asking the charger to give all it has got which can be 5 to 9 to even 20v depending on device. the only way to clear the issue with the devices microprocessor is that when it checks the usb port at start up it must be either already in use doing a role that works or it will see the fault it saw since the short and the loop will return. but what damage if any could you still have and not even know yet? Well have you tried connecting a otg adapter to your device? the plug that allows usb A thumb drives to be read by your phones usb c port. If the moment you plug the otg device into your phone triggers the moisture detect it means your port can no longer read usb c type devices. that means usb c chargers that give you super fast charging also dont work. Usb c to usb c simply is no longer available. but anything usb c to legacy, (USB A) will function in your phone, the adaptive charger and also transferring files to laptop via usb a plug. That i just wrote is the current state of my plug. But i never use usb c plug for anything other that charging and transferring to my laptop so i am fine to continue using the port as is. if you "need the other uses for the port such as usb c headphones or usb c to hdmi then you will need to replace the usb c port controller in the phone. the manufacturrers , no i mean the designers who made usb c and got it adopted to devices made them out to be the best port ever made but in fact it is plagued with issues as it cannot protect itself the way it was designed unless both devices connected are in a usb c to usb c handshake. otherwise usb a chargers cant hear anything usb c is saying it just sends charge. so when your device says short circuit it can try to stop it but it cant tell your usb a charger to stop sending charge. it can stop the charge that is sent to the phone battery but it is up to the charger to stop the charge if it shorts the charge down a different pin on the phone. the usb c charger would have turned off, but not the usb a. it keeps sending it until it burns out what little protection there is until it gets to you communication chips. If usb c is having a short circuit the phone says moisture detected but doesnt say pull out charger as it charge stopped. otg will also stop as the phone will stop the charge it sends. but when there is a short with a usb a legacy device that charge wont go and your phone beeps and screams at you to unplug charger, because if you dont it damages the hardware. Funnily if your phone was flat and fast charging enabled and the phone was off when you had the short circuit and went to sleep you wouldnt have heard the alarm bells from the phone as it wasnt on and only vibrates the warning. you wake up and the phone port is toast.
this worked when mine was at 22% I didn't have to plug it in and out to give it charge because it already had some, so I just turned the phone on and when the "Samsung" screen went darker I put it in and it worked, even after an hour of trying other solutions. this video saved me.

thank you saur much. you saved me from having to spend $30 to get my port changed. It's been a week without me using my phone and I'm regretting not having watched your video until this moment
Huge props for this video and the additional details/clarity you provided in comments. This technique worked for me a few weeks ago after trying many other things. I was able to get my Note 9 charging from zero at that time by correctly timing connection to the fast-charging port. Then I was able to use the "hold down power + vol-down button while connecting power" to get phone to accept charge while on. Unfortunately, I let the phone go to zero yesterday instead of making sure to always keep it charged. Then I made too many failed attempts to correctly time the power connection at startup. Now my phone gives me a "0% Battery - Connect Charger" icon/warning instead of trying to start-up, even after at least 15 cycles of your 5sec power cheat. Perhaps one reason might be that my phone vibrates for a second or two when the charger is connected, and that is enough to prevent any power from actually getting to the battery. I just ordered a $10 replacement usb charge port. Hopefully that will solve the problem.
This really helped. My Samsung phone was not charging while it was on, so I turned it off and did what you said, but when I plugged it, it wasn't charging, so I pressed the power button and voila..it was charging. Thanks a lot. 🙏🏽

I’m an older lady and didn’t have a clue what to do. I fired up my iPad , I don’t use often, searched for HELP. YOU ARE THE BEST! I tried other things from yt and YOURS IS THE ONE. ❤. I will subscribe to help you out.
hey no problem. Like everyone else i was desperate and went through every video and chat out there really upset that everyone was claiming they could solve it but none worked. Once i figured this little trick out it was a no brainer to post a video as i knew that if all of the other ways failed and my trick worked, it must work for other people and will eventually become the top video based on the one thing that mattered, it works. thank you so much for the subscribe. I had no idea it would be so hard to get them.
I collect all the moisture absorbers from my medication in a container and if ever I drop any electronics near water, or get a splash from rain, I don't bother with rice .... straight into my anti-moisture container.
holy shit same dude my heart was pump a thousand time faster when i heard that alarm and I panicked too because this is my moms old Phone until 1 hours later i could charge it again! it was a relief ( i have bad english and im from Malaysia)
Omg this actually works saved me a panic attack
Thank you, you saved me. ❤❤
THANK YOU!! My phone wasn't at 0% but this still worked. I didn't wait as long as you to plug in all the way because the Samsung logo ever dims but I plugged it as soon as the "Powered by android" disappeared and then a few seconds later it shows main screen, charging, no issue
Follow up: 2 days later it gave me the moisture issue again and now this trick isn't working 😢
Follow up again: it worked after about 5 tries, I tried differing amount of having the usb plugged in from just barely touching to halfway plugged in and it worked when it was half way
it is probably your usb cable, but when it starts coming back like that i would also hit the hair dryer on the port for 5 min at least up close and then let the port cool off.
the usb cable could be the cause of the short circuit.
@d-man913
can u share a pic pointing to these 4 pins
or a link to a video showing that
i got my Bluetooth not working, too, after the phone started...
kindly advise...
Thanks did exactly as u stated waited 4 sec then boom.....the rest is history
Hey no problem at all. if you haven't already it would be great if you could subscribe, you will be really helping me out. D
also your phone if it is not a s21 s22 or s23 will only if you read the spec have usb c 2.0 port.
@@michellefowler3105the s9 can be charged wirelessly, so until you figure out the problem you could at least charge the phone that way. You probly already know this but just saying in case you don't
-I'm adding this note, in case others can use this info: I have a Galaxy A33. Your tips allowed my phone to charge. I had to start with a very small charge, and used the cable that comes with the phone and a USB adapter, and plugged it into one of the USB ports on my PC. For this phone, I couldn't use a standard charger until the battery was 20% charged. Thank you again D-Man. None of the other procedures I tried worked. Just yours.
I was so skeptical seeing this video, but it was way more my speed than the people taking their whole phones apart. I'm pleased to announce that it actually worked!! You saved me from buying my son a brand new phone. Thanks dude, you're the best!
Omg me to this is my second time and I'm in a freaking camper so I have nothing to help I'm about to try this wish me luck

Thank you very much! You should add your paypal in description for all the people you save!
Thank you!

Thank you, sir. I don't like subscribing to channels that have nothing to do with any of my hobbies, but you have earned it.
I like Android and I'm not a fan of Huawei, so Samsung has always been my go-to. I just purchased a new A55, it's barely 2 months old and I have now learned about this issue the hard way. Sad to see Samsung have become such a disappointment.
I would like to know more about what causes this issue. For context, this started happening after spending the night at a friend's house and using his charger. It charged my phone, bur started giving me the error the following day when I plugged it in to my own charger again.
Great tip.
Mine said moisture detected (charging exclamation) Before causing this issue, and I was losing my 💩 when none of chargers worked, except power sharing with mrs’ phone.
Lowest setting on hair dryer, I gently dried out charging port and back off phone. Back to normal now.
