Dreadbox Abyss - sound exploration part. 1

Five improvisations with the Dreadbox Abyss, from dirty bass to dark drone and light organ/piano-like tones. This synth has its own color, that's what I like and wish to share with you. No EQ, no external FX, all you hear is direct from the synth !

Let's hope they don't replace the analogue FX section with a digital one. Those gritty old school fx are clearly a good part of this synth caracter, it sounds so 70's BBC sci-fi TV shows, I hope the V2 just don't go summery 80's Roland mojito party

I don't know what they are going to do. Like you, I hope they will keep analog FX section, but V2 in synths are not always for the best.

this demo is excellence even composition wise. It's totally inspiring

@@PaulBoos Oh yes an Abyss V2 with a patch bay of course. and a hight pass filter after the lowpass one . Selectable 24dB/12dB per octave ... I dream of it !

@@laurenthilairet2004 Not sure if they made they Abyss with surface mount components or using their old methods? If not, that would explain it was discontinued, as it was just too much work to assemble vs. the demand they got.
