Agonizingly wonderful-sounding, and as per usual, a great interface in addition to that. Dreadbox is one of a handful of companies that knows how to make analog synths that sound and feel like analog synths, as well as possess the analog character that is increasingly hard to find in the clinically stable analog synths that companies are making these days.
I’d love if you can make some tones like those spooky metallic sounds that were always in the songs by Japan. Those were made on an oberheim. I somehow feel this instrument could do that. Patch notes too would be lovely.
Actually those were made on the Prophet-5. Richard Barbieri had said that Sylvian had done alot of those tones on his own P5...'Ghosts' being a prime example.
I know the price is high. But, this needs to be put into full production, for sure! Looking at pics on Sweetwater, it looks like it has church pew fabric on it, so cool! The Jupiter 8 is strong with this one.
Truely awesome! I suppose these are not the factory presets? Things like at 1:17...is that one patch? or multitimbral stuff? I'd appreciate some explanation what's happening here...:)
Hi there, Everything here is a single patch being played on the Murmux, no layering or anything like that. The example at 1:17 is a unique patch we made for this video but everything else are factory presets. The feeling of multitimbrality is due in part to the fact that each voice has its own filter and amp envelope, so you can do some very interesting things through modulating the envelopes and sending some interesting MIDI patterns to it!
Very hard to get, they pop up on reverb every once in a while, the V1 go for around 1.5k bucks, the V2 3000+. I got both V1 and V2 but unfortunately can't afford the adept right now
@@peterpeper4837 the v1 sounds huge and very distinct vintage sound, very good for bass. the v2 i find to be thinner in sound, and generally more suited for very aggressive leads and ambient stuff, it can create very interesting soundscapes. from what i can tell from youtube video the adept sounds more modern and lush
@@sector328 Great, thanks for the reply. I love the sound of V1 on videos. V3 can sound also very big from what i ve heard so far.. Do you know the sound of the Erebus? Would you say it is close to Murmux V1?
I personally don't agree, they were doing this before going with mass production, with murmux v1 and V2 which were limited edition of 125 and 50 units. Everything else they made, except for the system g which is basically regular eurorack price, is affordable stuff. They have the Typhon and the nymphes, the chromatic eurorack which are some of the cheapest modules you can buy, Behringer price, even the white line series before that was affordable. I don't think anyone can touch dreadbox as a company, fair enough if you don't like their products
I may never understand why a small number of people takes new products so personally. It's like our taxes go to their pockets or it's an essential product that is going to save humanity. They don't owe you anything, where is all this insecurity is coming from?
@@xfghffhfg If it's not clear to you, I can explain why I'm unhappy in this case. I like Dreadbox, I had and still have a lot of their synths, but in the case when they produce a really good poly synth (what i always wanted actually) of only 300 copies, this means that it will practically not be on the second-hand market. Which in turn means that most people won't have a chance to buy it for less than $3,500. And even if it becomes possible to buy it new, then in six months it will no longer be in stores. I had one of their rare Abyss synths, it's just unrealistic to buy it now.
@@77advanced So because you want it and can't get it you are saying they become a "facepalm company"? You understand you will not get everything you want in life, right? and it's not necessarily anyone's fault, It's not against you personally, there are many reasons for the price and the limited quantity, maybe there are limited in parts, limited funds, labour, maybe margins are not that great, or other restrictions/limitations i can't think of right now, I'm sure they will be happy to sell more and make more money but it's still a very small brand from a very small place (with failed economy) that seems to try to do it's best. If you love them, give them some credit.
This also reminds me I really wish Dreadbox would make a drum machine.
💯
There is Drips and Dysmetria, so we may dream.

Effortlessly pretty. An instant classic.
Instant buy. Have been looking for an Abyss for years, now i don't regret never having found one.
This Pad Sound … 3:22 - Purchased it - Instant Buy ❤
Sounds unreal.
My oh my does that filter sound lovely. Amazing demo, but 1:17 is my favorite. Beautiful.
Beautiful sounds, great demo 🙏
Thanks Tim! You have amazing productions on your channel.
Did you get one Tim?
Holy shiSHKEBAB! This thing sounds friggin GORGEOUS!!! Oh golly gosh. I'm not one for an impulse purchase but... That's exactly what's happening.
Wow, just wow!. It's got my brain spinning,"how can I afford this?" Really amazing sound!
Very nice...have one on the way. Can't wait. Anxiously waiting to pair it with the Murmux v2.
Best demo so far. This synth is a future classic! wow!
Wow, this is a freaking good sounding synth.
Schöne Sounds, typische klassische...Mit dem Gerät kann man, denke ich , gut arbeiten...Übersichtlich ..

@@oscDrift guess I’ll have to go back and see which synth was mentioned on Alex Ball’s vid. Could have sworn I was watching an oberheim vid of his.

Is that like the most musical synth ever?
i wish i could afford this!

3K 😢 sounds beautiful though
Can we hear more pad sounds?
I'm still looking for the original

If you ever want to sell the v1 let me know!

Can you assign the polyphonic LFO to more than one destination at the same time?
Yes, very similar to the Nymphes in that regard.
First realy interesting synth since erebus2/nyx1 and only 300 units.. what a facepalm company they've become, unfortunately..
