I love Spiderman! I’m literally wearing a Spiderman t-shirt as I’m watching this
Ok 👍👍👍
You should React to all the dark knight movies vfk or stunts but I am not gonna beg but it would be awesome if you did though. :)
Another one to do would be the disappearing act when somebody is across the street and something blocks the view for a second. It'll be interesting to see if you could pull it off and how much it freaks people out
I like it. Do the classic bus going by.
Seeing Rei and then she vanishes.
@@choreomaniac Not a bus, they should use a van with a sliding side door, so they can jump into the van to do the vanish.
Love this idea
@@Hypno_BPM lol not sure if you're kidding or not, but they did this already lol
Having Jake in the office feels like Dad is home but in a fun way not a drunk way
Is everything good?
Yeah man you alright?

that was oddly specific, damn💀
you good bro
I really enjoyed Jordan telling the camera person "other Jordan" and revealing him in the wig 😂 her jealousy later was equally hilarious. Love the little humorous subplots you create for us.
Q
I think the one compliment to the original is that Tobey kept the tray in shot, while it was focused on both of their faces. That’s really impressive, anticipating the weight so the tray isn’t pulled down too much.
also everything fell perfectly in the center of the tray and the jell-o falling faster having Tobey to react quicker.
Well they are visual effects artists not film makers so they couldn't even catch the subtle nature of why that part is so good. They just wanted to recreate the moment for them and not the actual good shot.
@@lighthawk3720 They most definitely are filmmakers lol, Corridor is not just VFX artists. Niko and Sam may have done a lot of VFX, but they are both primarily the most skilled in filmmaking and cinematography. Nick and Carmichael are more or less completely camera centric, they're excellent cinematographers and especially photographers.
They 100% know the shot isn't the actual same as well as the subtle nature, hell it's not even that subtle, it's pretty straight forward. If anything they absolutely nailed the subtleties of the lighting and overall camera, focal length etc during all the other shots.
This video is very obviously for complete comedic purposes, they put barely any practice into this. Where as the original movie set would've had the people dropping the items, practice a few dozen times before even bringing in an actor.
@@NomSauce Plus they probably used lighter versions of the props to keep it lighter and in frame
@@agiammarco94 I think it was also done slower and then played faster in post.
big props for Kirsten Dunst having to act surprised/shocked all those takes 😂
I mean after 155 fails, she probably was shocked when he got it
...she didn't need to finish the line if he dropped the items you know.
@@ethanhill3929 true lol
@@Paaraadox i mean she still had to do the facial expressions at the start of her dialogue even on the failed attempts
It’s no small feat to look that *pleasantly* surprised.
Dude this shot is pretty incredible. It looks so effortless, but the pure dedication to Raimi’s crew is awesome. From the arms of Doc Ock to the incredible swinging sequences, these series of movies was a masterpiece in its time. Glad you guys are taking it on!
Yea
Indeed my man
Completely agree
That's why old movies rules, In nwh they literally cgi-ed the sunset shots and almost all backgrounds, problem with modern movies is they now don't know where to use cgi
Imagine spending real time on movies. Marvel should take notes
The fact that not only the tray and items had to land perfectly in camera to convey stability and spider refelexes and the lines had to be said, but the acting as in facial expressions looking at each other timing and everything had to be on point, so you know there's a massive blooper reel somewhere out there for the scene
The fact that niko predicted how long it took to catch all of them at 4:58 is insane
Wow 🤯
Jordan being jealous of Jordan is the funniest subplot you’ve ever put in a video since the peter42 subplot lol
Which video is the one with Peter42

Y’all forget about Wesley and Wesley?!
The celebratory over-the-shoulder toss of the tray with everything staying on but the jello was almost as impressive as the actual shot
Hahaha, yeah I laughed so hard on this! xD
It took 33 takes to get the shot but what they didn't show is it took an additional 183 takes to get the celebration right.
I could practically hear the whole room holding its breath in that last take. Well done. (Also the shot of Nico's face--priceless.)
9:30 is so infectious , you start cheering and laughing right alongside them
I love how when he flips the tray after he gets it, everything sticks still
Except the jello 😄
I was expecting the tray to crash on the monitors behind him lol
Props to Tobey for sticking to the original shot for 16 freaking hours until he got it right. Holy snap.
Admittedly the Macguire/Raimi shot looks a lot better, so I can see why they did it for 150+ takes. They were literally going for perfection, making sure the tray, food and actors' faces all stay in the same frame, and the tray isn't wobbling all over the place, and there is a very steady rhythm to the food items dropping almost like a metronome, and they land in precise position on the tray to create a "composition" rather than off to the side on the edge of the tray. What Corridor managed to replicate is still impressive, but Raimi wouldn't have accepted that shot.
Mary Jane kept messing up her lines, Bully McGuire caught it every shot.
@@willspeakman2461 everyone always forgets that
@@willspeakman2461 That means Tobey held her for 16+ hours like that too. I wonder if she got bored between takes.
@@willspeakman2461 50+ of the takes actually the background extras fault they are in awe too much because of Bully Maguire front and back flips every single time and put dirt in theyre eyes, so the director needs to dumb down the movement
The tray flipping with everything still attached to it in 10:01 is epic, btw
it's actually 9:17
The pure Joy in everyone's face, especially Niko's in the background!
Absolutely killing it with this series!!
Niko's reaction to the perfect take is priceless. All that sequence where everybody was losing their minds was just nothing short of epic. Well done, Jake.
Peter is the OG intern. Like they really couldn't have picked a better intern. Now they're trying to impress HIM. Love it.
I think Peter is now an employee. He came back after his schooling to join the team
@@McChewwy. I would be surprised if he even finished college. If you can get a job without finishing as a art student you fucking do it.
@@McChewwy. Yeah, I'd like to say he's come a long way but he's been fantastic from the start.
@@mitchellcrazyeye Yeah man, Peter came out the gate like a fucking savant.
Who is he
I think the *only* reason this take wouldn't be accepted is because it focuses down on the tray, without keeping their faces in the shot. That aside, this is f***ING incredible
and the jello dropping way too late
Every Jake episode is such a feel good story, showing what incredible feats a normal person is capable of when they BELIEVE!
11:08 "Put a baby in me, I want to give birth to a nation" absolutely SENT me!
such a raw line

Ok, calm down, Kyle.
For Real man!

That Jordan fake out has been a long time coming.😂😂😂 This was hilariously perfect!! Well done.👏👏👏
Anyone noticed the render glitch? Like it happened 3times or so, first at 5:45 (more or less a second). Was that on purpose? (From them one wouldn’t know ahah).
Great video! Awesome stuff like always
Sigourney Weaver throwing the basketball backwards in Alien Resurrection was apparently done in camera on the first take with no practical or digital effects. They had to cut before Ron Perlman breaks character as no one expected it to happen.
Oh shit it was first take too?!? Never knew that part😮
Awesome 🤯
Kurt Russell did the same in escape from LA.
Is there anything Sigourney Weaver can't do?
I heard that it wasn’t the first take
“How’s my feminine energy”
Lumbers away from Jake. Lmfao
It wouldn’t surprise me if the apple in Spider-Man was a prop and not an actual apple. It was probably hollow so that it wouldn’t make such an impact on the tray.
Also that bearded guy in the baseball cap, Brandon? Looks a lot like Mizkif, I kept thinking why he looked familiar.
Niko's reaction in the moment made this whole video for me. 😂
The raw energy in the room of the 'wow thanks - no problem' when they get it right but they have to wait to break character
I was there that day. It didn’t take that many takes. Tobey impressively did catch the food items with RAT TRAP GLUE on his hand and tray. They had set up two ladders on either side of him to drop the items in sequential order in the high school cafeteria in LA. They then used a pulley system to shoot (carry) the food tray across the room. That’s me in my old navy green fleece pull over to the right of Kirsten’s left shoulder in the background when he catches the food and they share a moment. It was a long day. I recall waiting six hours before background was even called onto set. Got to meet Tobey, Kirsten, and Tobey’s bestie Lucas Hass who showed up on set to be supportive. Had a nice long convo with him about Tim Burton (Mars Attacks) and Leo (yes, that Leo). Good times working with Central Casting out of Burbank :)
very cool!
@@aramis9331 it was! Anyone in CA can sign up with Central Casting or Cenex, and get on set as background :)
Whoa wat a small world. Was it 16 hours though?
@@hiskishow Could’ve been for the production crew, but they released us around 12 hours I think, though i did arrive late around 10 am, and was only let in, due to bg not being called onto set at all yet. @@sway4everything yeah i can imagine the crew would then be there forever lol 😄
1:37 that caught me off guard so bad

“Put a baby in me. I wanna give birth to a nation.” Absolutely sent me haha
If you want some tricks to try, there's a few in Scott Pilgrim. The shot where Michael Cera tosses the package in the trash, he actually did it. Took him, like, 60 tries.
Or the scene where he jumps through the window.
The window jump with extra safety precautions. There might be another broken collarbone in Corridor
the window jump was a texas switch with a stuntman tho, altho many of CD are used to stunts maybe they'll do it themselves
UP TO THIS!
And guess how many takes it took?
33 TAKES AS WELL
Coincidence? 🤯
It's the fact that it's still together when he threw it and made it even more hilarious 😆 10:00
"Other Jordan".
Effing brilliant.
Here is a challenge: in his 1980 film The Young Master (師弟出馬), Jackie Chan fights using a hand fan. One stunt, in which he throws the fan and catches it after two spins, took over 120 times according to Chan himself.
"you're just a huge dude, I think that's the issue"
I almost choked on my food 😂
Isn't someone gonna be offended!?
Jaking tossing the tray afterward was the best part.
Just a simple episode of dropping things on trays but what a wonderful-feel good episode. I love this channel. All the energy there.
They got the food on the tray but didn't get the shot PERFECT like Raimi's team did. That's what the 156 takes were for.
It wasn't perfect, the last item took ages to drop. It's not just get all four items on the tray without spilling.
Yea the jello took way too long to fall
The jello took way too long every single time. They never had any hope of getting the Raimi shot with the yellow coming down a second after everything else. Even if the catch was flawless and everything else worked, the timing is just off.
@@daniel.lupton I think what stood out more to me was that in the OG shot, the framing was also perfect, Peter & MJ's faces were in shot the whole time, as well as the tray. In the recreation, the framing slips.
@@KorokuGaming I completely agree. But with a better catch that could be fixed. But if they keep dropping the stuff too slow, the perfect shot is impossible before they've even started.
I imagine the budget for the original shot going over, not just because of 16hrs of paying the crew, but the scene is packed with extras too.
Damn true I never considered that, there is a lot of people in the background not doing anything
Not to mention how much film they would have run through
I heard that sometimes the extras only get paid by getting to be in the movie. No cash.
Seeing all that excitement from the crew made me really miss times like this. Awesome video!
AGGHhhhH!!!!!! Y’all that was amazing. But Jake damn.. I’m impressed.
Female Jordan scowling in every shot where Spidey-Jordan was being praised was icing on the cake! Well done all of you!

I´m laughing so hard. xD Jordans "feminine" Energy and Jakes "blue" eyes have me crying. Thank you for this treat CD. I will never not be a fan of this crew.
Replying what someone mentioned on your last "Jake's super-debunks" video. I would love to see if Jake could pull of Snake's "hide in a cardboard box" stealth trick from Metal Gear Solid. If he can, I would be hell'a impressed!
Other ideas seen in several movies could be to disguise yourself by painting yourself as the background, or to somehow recreate the cartoonish "draw a fake door" trick.
Anyone remembering any specific movie where they do these things??
Love this series though and would love to see many many more vids!
I would love to see that!
that's a dope idea
How about Mission Impossible realistic face masks?
"not me, other Jordan" I don't know why but that joke absolutely got me🤣🤣
The cheer in this is the most genuine and addictive thing. I've wound back just to that moment loads. Niko's face 😂
Personally one thing I love is in a Princess Bride when they throw the sword, it sticks in the ground, and then they leap off onto a bar and do the gymnastic thing, landing and plucking the sword up all cool style.
The reaction of the team when Jake cought it all… that genuinely made me smile 😃
This one has it all, unexpected moments of comedy gold, learning something new and marvelling at the practicality, and the subtle acting in the final shots was amazing. Well done guys! Looked like fun to make. Just wish there was a way for Toby and Kirsten to chime in too with a call or something.
These have to be my favorite vids just as pure speculation just gold, with all the crew makes it feel so cozy!
I'd love to see you guys attempt the classic "slasher movie" trope of the killer "teleporting" behind the victims when they're running away
Honestly, somehow these Jake videos always end up being so darn good, its crazy. The premise of these videos don't sound like they would work but they are always so great, I think about Jake putting the shoe on his head in the batman video once a month.. Gold
This was such a good idea and a fun video to watch; congrats, Jake!
I will critique that the jello is a little late in the final take, and the tray dips down a lot, but it's still quite impressive!
In skateboarding, there's this idea of "the power of belief"; the first time someone tries a trick that's never been done before, it can take forever, but once people see that it's possible, they can achieve it much quicker. I think this video is another good example of that!
This is the type of corridor crew videos that i like, very classic 2020 vibes
This was such a good idea and fun video concept! Loved it
Love you guys at corridor you have opened my eyes to a whole world of talent that I didn't know I admired so much.
Another one would be trying to tackle down the incognito suit up! We always see our heroes spring into action, going from civilian to hero in seconds.
I wonder if Jake could really go from zero to hero when the world needs him the most.
This! I think this was even in The Batman recently; he just brought his whole suit in a duffel bag lol. Daredevil does it too. The non-supernatural heroes have less excuses to explain it away.
He could try learning quick change clothing magic tricks and attempt them in a phone booth or in the office without letting others notice
You guys should do more of these types of videos trying to remake famous live action shots, kinda like a movie-specific Mythbusters. This is awesome!
This was such a fun video! Props for the whole team getting involved, can't believe you actually got Kirsten Dunst for whole thing. Love these Jake vids
Of course it's possible that they did it on the 17th shot but Raimi kept trying to get the perfect shot, Kubrick style, and then just used that 17th shot.
I love videos like these man, Jake finding ways to do things in a practical manner, and wren doing information videos, gotta love it.
After watching the Corridor Crew/Adam Savage team-up with the _Chinatown_ "Knife through nose" Practical VS CGI, I've wanted to see them both do the "bullet through the eye" gag Practical VS CGI from _The Godfather._
These are some of my favorite corridor crew videos keep it up!
I love the Jake “debunking (or proving) movies” thing
I wanna see you guys do a reverse take version of this. Attach strings to everything Jake is supposed to "catch" and just lift them up and retime it. The fun part? Acting the dialogue parts backwards.
11:15
"Put a baby in me I want to give birth to a nation."
"WOOOO!"
lol
I genuinely love seeing Jake in videos more often than just in sponsor videos. I hope to see more than just superhero videos with him in it!
Ever since the Batman challenge I've been eagerly waiting for these eps with Jake
To be fair to the original, even though you guys hit the marks with the stunt on that take, the camera pan happened too late and/or the line was delivered too early so you'd need to keep shooting. I imagine Tobey actually had a few successful catches where something else was off about the take.
Came here to write this only. They stopped at the first take where they caught everything, but it's far from perfect. The original has a lot more going for it. Jake takes the plate too high before catching, while Tobey keeps it more level where it needs to be in the frame, and then also, for catching each item in the original there's a swift move to the position of each which lends the reflex part of the new skills, and that's lacking from the recreation.
The tray is out of focus. Raimi would have kept shooting more takes. Still, it's an impressive series of catches.
Yeah! Considering the shoddy camera work of the final shot, it wouldn't have made the movie anyway. 122 takes left to go!!!
The movie version also keeps the actors in frame which is probably why it took so many takes as well.
in the original didn't they use strings attached to everything and they pulled the strings quickly to make it all fall in line? you can see the bowl of jello kinda zoom towards the milk at the end.
I actually always doubted they really did that shot but this proves it's possible and was super impressive
These guys did it. But the movie clip is somehow fakes and im very surprised that they didn't draw attention to it. Watch the jello bowl when it lands on the milk in the original shot. It lands and magically shifts to the left.
@@GodsAutobiography bruh.
Toby actually caught it, although it wasn't perfect. They just corrected it in the next shot.
@@GodsAutobiography looks like magnets under the jello by the way it snapped into place. It’s still in camera just a different way of doing it.
@@BamaShanks soon... not done the way they did it... im still correct on this one champ. And im pretty sure they didn't use a magnet. Watch the original clip at .25 speed at the start of this video. Its 100% not practical. It lands almost entirely off of the milk carton
@@thesmilingtitan watch it in slow motion. He didn't catch that. Zero chance.
Definitely my new favorite video from you guys. Definitely love the practical effects
Jordan was worried about his performance; I think when he actually does it, you're so impressed that the line will be genuine either way
The absolute joy of you guys doing this... I felt it through the screen. I laughed so hard at this!
Additionally, props to the droppers. You can tell they became more focused on where and how to drop the items from when they started to when they ended.
Well done!
I would have cored out the apple to make it lighter and less jarring to catch.
I also would have guessed that in the original, they used a magnet in the milk carton to catch the jello. You can see the bowl "jump" into position on the milk carton.
Obviously that was all done with millions of dollars and a huge prop team, so your 1 day recreation is pretty dang impressive!
Pretty clever actually, and probably not needing that big of a budget ^^
In the movie, the jello was likely not real (some sort of rubber or polymer, maybe), or perhaps with a ton of extra gelatin added to make it more solid, and then some kind of glue to hold it in the bowl. Sandwich might've been completely glued together, as well. And if it were me, I'd also have added weights taped to the side of the milk carton and the bottom of the jello bowl & sandwich plate. Plus, a sticky spray on his hand/fingers and the bottom of the tray, to make that easier to catch and hold on to.
This scene is so iconic. I love the attention to detail with the cinematography. Great stuff!
This was HYSTERICALLY funny!!! The reveal of the whole scene at the end had me crying! Congrats, that was one of the funniest, most awesome segments you guys have produced :D
you guys are finally doing this kinda stuff again, good to see
The sheer joy when they nailed it 🎉❤
This video is the reason why I have watched every single corridor video since 2010. The sheer dedication and perseverance this team has is the BEST on RUclips. Their so inspiring to achieve what they put their minds to! A great example for all of us for our passion. Bravo!
Most impressive to me is, that everyone kept their shit together and delivered their line, when it all landed perfectly.
That was all around awesome! You guys still have that RUclips magic from the olden days, when anyone feels like they could do what you do at home.
I have to say it; Jake videos are my favorite.
Applying a layer of foam (like the kind used for special shoe insoles) would absorb a lot of the impact so the items wouldn't want to bounce off
I suspect the 'jello' was a much more firm prop too that was also tapped to the center of the bowl to give it more consistent center of gravity. They could have added weights to all the bottoms of the plates too to give them a lower center of gravity. Tons of little potential ways to give every advantage for a scene like this.
Jake has great facial expressions! Loved it!
I honestly FELT the energy, here. I couldn't help but throw my hands up, and yell "yes!!!!!"
5:28 When Jordan marches up like that with the wig 😂 I would run if that came out of an alleyway.
The “other Jordan” moment got me good 😂
Who else can't wait for the weekend just to watch Corridor Crew videos?
This video was so funny all the way through. Amazing.
Genuine great reflexes line delivery. I cried
The energy for this video is *infectious.* I was so excited when they got the take.
If you look back at the original footage you can see the dish with jello move horizontally to the center of the milk carton, I'm pretty sure they used magnets there. And it still took them 5x longer, so congrats!
"The other Jordan"
Lmao nice skit you guys pulled up there
I always love it when Jake is back in the studio
They keep giving us the things we never knew we wanted ❤️
