  • It has different names, but the goal remains the same. To clear the sinus of all it's crud. *Forgot to mention in the video to make sure you create a seal with your nostril and the nasal wash spout. That helps allow the pressure to push through the nostril and push out all of the gunk.

    please make sure you are either boiling your water first or using distilled water. There are bacteria that our stomachs can handle but our sinuses cannot. Better safe than sorry.

    There’s one way I use to stop my super blocked nose so the way I use is like this so you put your young on the roof of your mouth but keep your mouth still open then take your young if the roof of your mouth then put your 4 fingers in between your eyebrows then let go and keep repeating if it doesn’t work do it for 30 seconds or more if it’s not that stuffy for me it takes like 10 seconds I always use this method and I think it’s perfect for me and my family so we don’t have to buy anything

    Hello! Your little ones are so brave and cute too! I recently had nasal surgery and had to learn how to do this rinsing. I too was so nervous and swollen and it was not working so well. But now I am better at it. I had thought to myself, how this could be so
    Beneficial for kids too! Great video. (P.S.. I filmed myself doing it on my channel, lol. I can’t believe I did it!)!

    This is so informative! Thank you so much! I love how detailed you were about your experience! And your little girl is soo BRAVE! I have a question though? The saline solution is it a packet that you use? Where do you buy more if you run out?

      Thank you. I’ve been able to my three year old used to it. Now they are all pros at it. Yes they are saline solution packets. I have bought more at cvs pharmacy. They have some at the grocery stores and Walmart as well. They aren’t too cheap so you can even look up how to make the solution online or at Pinterest.

    I tried a lot I can’t make it come out of the other nostril, it comes out of the same nostril or the mouth

    • @DailyDashOfLife
      @DailyDashOfLife  2 года назад +2

      Make sure you are creating a good seal around the nostril you are spraying and make sure you are using enough pressure.

    As a really stressed and easily sick college student… I literally just squeezed the fuck out of it. I didn’t care how much it hurt at first, I just did it. It worked lol! It always came out of the other nostril :)

    • @DailyDashOfLife
      @DailyDashOfLife  2 года назад +3

      So glad it worked for you. I had to do that on myself the first time too. I was just so clogged and I didn’t think it was going to work. I had to use more pressure.

    • @DailyDashOfLife

      Hope it helps. It make take some practice. Remember not to tense up, don't try to breathe through you nose while spraying the solution, and tilt your head slightly, not too much.

    Hi! What is that water bottle thing called and where did you buy it?

    • @DailyDashOfLife
      @DailyDashOfLife  2 года назад +3

      I bought it off of Amazon. Nasaline Junior for $12.96. I buy one for each child so that they don’t cross contaminate. And I used distilled water to dissolve the saline solution into.

    • @DailyDashOfLife
      @DailyDashOfLife  2 года назад +2

      I prefer the Junior nasal syringe by Nasaline but this one is a nasal rinse bottle I quickly picked up while I waited for the syringe to come in the mail.

    Can u use water? Warm water? Or does it have to be saline solution

    • @DailyDashOfLife
      @DailyDashOfLife  5 лет назад +22

      I mix the saline solution into warm water. Not tap water, but distilled water. You can use distilled water, sterile water, or water that has been boiled with the solution. I think you can use it with just the water if necessary, but everything I looked up says to use a saline solution. You can even make your own solution.

      You can make your own solution with salt and baking soda. Pinterest has the measurements

      I wouldn't continue if you don't feel comfortable. It take the right amount of pressure. I was afraid of that in the beginning as well. I had to figure it out on myself first.

    This was extremely annoying. You could tell the little girl had a lot in her nose to flush out, but the mom kept giving these weak squeezes, in three second intervals, and it wasn't cleaning her out. I was like, 'keep the rinse going in her nose and get that crap out."

    • @DailyDashOfLife

      So sorry to hear that. That can happen if you tilt too much. It can be a bit tricky. My ears felt strange the first couple of times I did it, but the sensation went away.
