As a new player who played this once with my friends the other night, it's VITAL having a text version of this so I can understand what units I shouldn't focus or waste time on. Since there is no list provided, I wasted my time making this for everyone else instead! Yay!

The other aspect of the gun slinger is it gains XP fast and self heals. So it's intended to be a micro heavy skirmish unit. If you can get it to clear 20 T1 bots, it's DPS and health basically doubles and it becomes a real menace of a unit. But yea, super niche use

The main argument for the Decoy Commander is 300 build power that can be used as mobile build assist and reclaim; the secondary argument is a constructor and major mobile build assist that has DPS; tertiary is their cloak and capture abilities or their explosive destruction. I'd love to see someone trying to do a meme build where they spam decoys.
Their self destruct is actually pretty weak.
@@JG-nm9zk You are correct. Not sure if that was the case in TA; seems like the decoy should have a bit of a boom for how much energy you pay, but not a bad tank unit given HP and weapon.
I have actually spammed Decoy coms once in a game that went on for well over an hour with crazy Eco on both sides. My rez bots weren't able to survive all the chaos that was going on in the Juggernaut grave yard that the middle of the map had become, so I started using cloaked Decoy coms instead. Their 4000 HP and ability to repair each other actually makes them really tanky, and they reclaimed well over what I spent on them.
The crowning achievement though was when I had a gang of them actually kill a (half HP) Juggernaut. I partially surrounded it whilst cloaked, set the repeat order on, and told them to "D-Gun" it. Those fake D-Guns still deal around 500 damage per shot, and fire roughly once every second if on repeat mode. Which makes them actually really dangerous in close quarters, if you can pull off the awkward micro. For a unit that costs about the same metal as a Bull, they're very clunky but not actually all that bad at fighting.
When not memeing with them, I've actually started including a couple in unit comps sometimes, to act as durable repair bots. (Main issue is that they're very slow, though.)
The word Umbra refers to the fully shaded area in a shadow. It’s typically used to talk about eclipses both solar and lunar. It actually has nothing to do with umbrellas haha. Although I suppose umbrellas likely were named such for their ability to create umbras to shade you from the sun (it evolved to shade you from the rain for most people now).

I've been playing with the recluse(rocket spider) a lot. People think that spider is just an all terrain rocketer its a lot more then that. So here are the huge differences, it shoots OVER each other, they shoot 3 rockets instead of 1, the shots are slightly spread out before reaching its target point( this is important later), they can turn on a dime, and more range and slightly faster. This units is amazing in the early game but once t2 art/snipers(really long range/expensive units) start coming out in mass it loses very quickly. This units is amazing if mircoed right, aka attack ground command, think of it as lobbing grenades/rockets launcher in a first person shooter you normally don't aim right at the target but around it on the ground. Whats really great about its attack pattern is that you dont need to be that accurate as it has a shot gun(3 rockets) effect at its half way point of attack that is also low to the ground that most t1 units will be hit by it as it flys by/over them. so for example lets say i fire rockets at max range of 600 but units have already made it to the half way point of 300 as long as my rockets intercept there path they will be hit by some of them even though i gave the command to shoot at 600. Also Ive managed to counter hounds to degree with them even though hounds out range spider by 50, as long as they are giving chase you can shoot in the area that they will be because of the travel time of the rockets and kill them that way. Sorry that was long just wanted to share that bit of experience I've had with everyone, it really is a fun unit to play with. Again it is very heavy micro play, so make sure you have given all your build commands in order in your base (NOT NOOB FRIENDLY UNIT). A teir for me in all maps and S on cliff/hill maps. I would describe spiders in one sentence: Perfect units for gaining map control at the early T2 phase in declivous areas..
I think you are severely underestimating the ambassador. sure, they don't outrange gauntlets when the gauntles are on high ground, nor to they outrange rattlesnakes, but it's so close that you can pick at the edges of a defensive position, and they do enough damage that by the time you realize you are under fire, it's too late to repair. At equal elevation, you can start to outrange gauntlets, and A volley of 2 missiles can not only one shot a gauntlet, you can AOE kill a lot of T1 or T2 bots and quite a few T2 vehicles as well, but a 2 missile volley can also kill an advanced mex. they are very good at punishing an unprepared opponent, and as such, I think looking for an excuse to build a couple is a great idea if you are armada vehicles. the flight trajectory is a bonus, but the real power is that it's a missile that kills stuff before it can be repaired, and even if you lose ambassadors, they will likely be too far back for your opponent to reclaim. and due to the flight time of the missile and the huge reload time microing every shot is realistic and you can be gone before the missile actually lands.
I don't like sharpshooters so much simply because they are so vulnerable to indiscriminate plasma fire. Gauntlets outrange them signficiantly and nearly one shot them. Ambassadors outrange them, but also, mausers flat outrange them (barely), and mausers do enough damage that just walking into mausers attacking ground can mess sharpshooters up. The more you have, the more vulnerable you are to some bright spark having a single basilica and getting lucky. Stealthy stops mattering when you start dying to stuff that's not even aiming at you.
And the ambassador is stealthy by its own. A couple of them can destroy defense lines or small armies easily, because every rocket is doing 1900 damage. Even if the opponent is seeing the rockets then its too late.
@plories808 Yep. And don't forget guys, those rockets go through the shields where artillery can't. They'll just go right on in and blow static defence line up whilst going unnoticed till its too late
Couple units from B should be A (Bull, razorback, rocketeer) they are awesome also centurion can easily be S tier early on the unit is really strong on the frontline.
I would swap starlight with bull easily in that tier list. razor for sure as well. I do think rocketeer and centurion are too situational. also would apply for the shellshocker for me.

FYI some Amphib Units got build in anti Air now. No Idea when it was added but some marauders whiped my shurikens from The sky. Same goes for turtles, watched them kill of a Air wall while pushing.
It would a lot better if you refer to common units as its description instead of names
T1 heavy tank, Scout bot/car, T1 AA plane, etc.
Its very confusing even for people who play for a long time but have a memory of a goldfish.

Titan is a siege unit that has enough defense to also work against armies. Build a couple titans with a mobile radar and jammer and you can siege the enemy defenses without getting hurt.

so essentially, his foundation for rating is based on unit mobility, and high damage per shot, and not relying on fire rate.
Decoy commander is actually pretty good. It can deploy medium mines and is the only unit other than the commander that can capture. Lots of build power. Good DPS. Lots of health. Also when it detonates or is destroyed there is confetti.
The blitz I would argue is S tier even in 8v8. It can exploit holes in the lines better than any other t1. Though on supreme straits they aren't great.
The AA bots aren't as bad as you think. When pushing past the enemy fighter wall there isn't much your air player can do against gunships or shirekins. They only need to be as fast as my snipers.
Decoy commander also got as much buildpower as the real one.

I think you miss the point of the Fatboys.
They absolutely suck at holding the line, but I think they are great for pushing. Yes they are slow af.
But having like 2 Fatboys in your runby allows your conposition to melt enemy T1 and T2 clumps.
So yeah they have a role I think. Maybe C tier or even B tier I'd say
You know what one thing would make the Ambassador absolutely god tier?
If you could get a group of them and then target an _area_ with them so they spread out their shots to saturate enemy positions.
Pretty much my take as well with one exception. I like the Webber as an early T2 in combo with something else to mop up T1 units. The EMP stun is great and it has great sight range too which can empower other units its with. It's also all terrain and can be used for some great harassment that way.

Hornets have pretty abysmal dps for their cost. Roughnecks deal 2.5x dps for the same cost and the only downside is them being a bit slower. I'd say hornets are D tier 100%
EMP bombers are at least A tier and air player should always have some of those when they get to t2. They are the ultimate harass stopper. They are basically shurikens that don't die to a sneeze.
It's a controversial opinion but Janus is an S tier. I recently tried getting januses + missile trucks and this t1 comp crushes everything
Januses counter any short ranged t1 like medium tanks. They have an amazing burst damage and the knockback helps kiting a lot. The only downside is that you need to micro them
I really don't agree about the Centurion at all. It's the best commander killer, and I have pushdd through more times early game using them than with the stout tanks.
Yeah but why not use that metal to make maces?

recluse is same lvl as hounds for me :D but you really need to combine them with a radar bot even better when you get a vehicle radar sine it has almost the same speed
Radar doesnt see underwater units as far as I know
How about to transport tumbleweeds via air transports? They both are pretty metal cheap. You first recon enemy's base. If there is no AA then you just drop them in the middle of the base. Otherwise you land transports in the safe spot and move that bombas by land, looking for that juicy explosions. Just an idea
If they have no aa just bomb them at that point
Problem is, three mine is t2 so u will likely find aa that shoot transport down. Considering the micro necessary to pull this stuff off it's just easier to build a couple of bombers

Disagree with welder. Its got abysmal range and meh damage and it gets rekt before it can even get to defences.
Ambassador I also rarely use, but its been used against me very well by AI. The missiles may not have range but pair it with a jammer and stick it outside the frontline. It'll tear through your bubble shields and AOE your static defence, as missiles go straight through them for some reason.
I personally love the starlight they can annihilate tier 1 units with one shot they start to be useless when hoards of tier 2 and 3 units show up of course I’m to garbage to play online

Webbers are A tier MINIMUM. EMP attack, cheap to mass them, can reclaim and pay back their low metal cost near instantly. The only thing that balances them is that they dont deal direct damage. If they did they'd be broken as hell.
I’m sorry but this tier-list is not even close to an accurate representation of how these units play out in the actual game. You can’t do this with games like BAR. Just play the damn game and counter your enemies like a normal person!

It's 4k for me now. Maybe I had some wishful thinking that youtube would be faster but it wasn't. What matters is that now it's in 4k.
All these comments will just show how hard it is to please people as they feel they are entitled to everything when it's free.
PS. What other creators normally do is private their videos and just release it when it's processed, Drongo was nice to want to release it ASAP for everyone to see and was bit by the processing time.

Im disappointed in you. Janus C tier? It should be an S+ unit on the list. You can basically rip the enemy com face off with it by every single shot in the tier1 phase. This is the only unit you are supposed to fear as fk in the whole earlygame. Lol
They are also the best possible defensive units, and if you mix a couple of them into your army, you will own your opponent until T2..

no. you can flake a thor easily and he is slow and he has no anti air, and its only good on wide flat ground.
@@manumaster1990 You basicaly just forgot about Thor emp missiles which has 2 charges. You can punish with Thors pretty well and keep rolling back and forth on the frontline without losing a single one if you know wtf are you doing.

Yucky 360P quality, you may want to upload the video and set it to publish a couple of hours later and you can avoid this processing problem in the future and your analytics will be better as well, as for right now, I need to let it settle for a couple of hours.

This is not true. Tier lists are useful in this game, because balance is not and will never be perfect. Some units have a job but they don't do it well. Some units can do a lot more than just their supposed job, such as the Sharpshooter. Tier lists could also be useful for comparing similar units from the different factions, because oftentimes one will be more effective in its role. Tier lists are helpful for discussing and determining the meta of the game overall.

As much as I enjoy cortex for... reasons... im learning they really are just less good than armada.
Arm has pulsar turrets, mobile pulsars, cloaked pop-up missile turrets, popup artillery turrets, cloaked radar jammers, ticks, rocket spiders, all terrain t3 arty, jaguars (that have AA missiles ffs), blitzes, thors, welders, emp spiders, fatboys, gunslingers, ghosts, marauders, abductors, and those fast-attack boats i cant remember the name of, and on and on - most of which has no direct equal in Cortex.
Cortex.... has.... Thugs, Fiends, Sumos, juggernauts, and efficient t3 economy. Basically nothing else interesting. (Never once have all-terrain AA bots come in handy in any game ive played or watched.)
Dunno.... just starting to feel theyre just not as good.
Cortex pound for pound has better DPS and HP but generally not a lot of nuance. Armada is pretty strong playing defensively and raiding; Cortex is really strong playing economically and aggressively with spam/swarm tactics. Cortext tends to lose early game but if you can cause enough damage fast enough to make it to mid to late game then raw HP and DPS means you make it to the Juggernaut which often ends games.
Cortex has the better air and has better offensive sea capabilities. They have many key land units that are significantly cheaper to build and spam than their armada counterparts.
