Here in Michigan I do really well for Smallies on topwater in rivers. They simply crush topwater till late fall. I'm going to try some swimbaits today.
Been following you before you started the RUclips channel on Instagram and amazed to show my dad your videos and fish you catch! We currently fish a lot of the snake river in Oregon but I am moving to Lewiston this fall for school and can’t wait to start fishing in your area. These in depth videos of how you fish are so helpful and unique, I would love to see more about how you fish from the spring into the fall. Absolutely incredible content and I look forward to the next video, keep doing what you’re doing man thank you!
Thanks for making the gear video I'm new to bass fishing and learning still. I'll try the ball head jig out. I caught my first smallmouth today and it's such a different feeling bite. I would love to catch a big smallmouth like you get in your videos. Thanks again for making the gear video.
👏👏Hi Joey,I only know about you being on the BigBassDreams live,Oliver Nye and want to know more about catching bigger Smallmouth and I’ll definitely stick with a ball head because you say so and you have the success 🏆🏆 and that’s why I’ve been following Oliver for the last 8 years because I want his success also, thank you for sharing my friend ❤️👊
Joey - thanks for sharing. Picked up a couple 6 inch hudds for smallies here in Maine - would love to see your set up for those. Not many on RUclips throwing those for smallmouth.
The ball head tip is great. I had not considered the water displacement effect that a ball head would cause versus a swimbait head.
Ball heads for the win every time, good stuff
