@ashleyamber304 Over the last 7 years have they ever shown or mentioned a dive flag? It took the mom 6 years to purchase overboard watches when she finally admitted her children hadn't been wearing their life preservers at night. And for those 6 years, she had her teenagers doing night watch while she slept. Training and responsibility are great, but they're in the middle of an ocean with no help for many miles or many hours. I don't think they have any idea how incredibly lucky they've been.
It was a pleasure meeting you all today. Hope to see you tomorrow for the goodies. Wishing you all the very best on your journey forward. I will keep watching your journey through…

Haha I'm in the same boat no pun intended. My husband is the one terrified. We have a houseboat on a river as well as a small speed boat to pull the kids. I have to beg him to take the houseboat out. He loves fishing, is an outdoor person, can fix any engine. I just don't get it. I grew up near the water went out with my parents and SO much want to do it. 😔

Praslin in my honest opinion looks like a much nicer island! Beautiful and better preserved. And I don’t Blame Keith in saying he didn’t know if he’d come back. If you can’t comfortably swim and snorkel in particular that would spoil a big part of the experience. With all that being said, it is gorgeous at that anchorage, and although it’s a lot of boats nestled up close, it sure beats being at a cruise port or a crowded resort. And once you got to that beach there, I have to say what a great segment, lovely private little beach. Good music, food, and friends equal a good time. The rain on the other hand is calming. The tortoises were massive and so cool to see. You never know what new people will come into your orbit, the fit guy doing flips was pretty cool. Great video! Looking forward to next weeks :)
My kids an I have been watching for some time. They grow fast. My oldest is down in Florida at World cheer . They have to grow wings and fly some day but it's good to know they have roots to come home to. Weather it's on Zatara or your terrestrial home. Love your channel! Just found it a week ago. Your family is awesome, your filming is fabulous. Renee, I love listening and learning about islands I've yet to explore. Seriously this is better than any travel channel show. Travel channel should pick you up. maybe they did and I don't know, cause I don't have cable anymore. Never anything on. lol Anyways, my family and I hail from Texas North of Houston. One day we'd love to sail as you all have. I just want to wait till my littles are a bit older. 4 and 6 now. I can really relate to your struggles with older kids living their own lives. As I have a 19 and 21 year old, who are out chasing their dreams. We are so proud but also so sad to not have em around much. I love how your older son has stayed on as part of the crew. He's learning so much along side y'all. Thank you for sharing your amazing adventures with us all.
I would think that as restrictions continue to lighten up , more & more folks are going to start living again, crowded into these open areas, it looks as though fuel prices are high everywhere in the world, sailing will be a great mode to travel, I guess even slow when the winds are light , stay safe & thanks for sharing
Would love to know how you transitioned from land living. I’ve only lived on Lake Ontario for summer. Living on a boat is great living, thanks for posting.
What a difference to watch folks that have money while sailing giving them that ability to enjoy so much more. Of course they still need to budget but they can do proper repairs and updates without a lot of worry. Of course you can sail on a 2x4 if you so desire but a more modern vessel with updates makes more sense to me. Enjoy the journey.
Hey guys... things may not have started to well, but it sure looks like they improved... Glad to see you having such a good time. Enjoy and we can't wait for your next video :-)
Hello from Phoenix Arizona! That is so beautiful there! I love the desert but I got to tell you I really miss thunderstorms and good rain we just don’t have much of it here we only get 7 inches of rain a year. It’s so beautiful the clouds in the Bluewater and the rain thank you for putting all these videos up.

Saw your stuff on Facebook today that you're leaving in the morning to go to Tanzania, maybe even you'll leave before you see this comment. Safe travels, fair winds, and a safe journey to you. I'm looking forward to the road trip down to Cape Town! I thought you were going to be in the Seychelles for a few months, though. After looking at the video of all the charter boats, I don't think I would have wanted to stay there for too long, either.
We were in the Seychelles just a few weeks ago. I agree while snorkeling, I kept to the shallow areas (saw sea turtles, sharks, lots of fish right where you are.) but lots of small boat fast moving.
I wish you guys could sail all the way here in the Philippines :) we have tons of great islands for you to explore. Been watching you guys since your monohull days. Keep it up!
Love watching this channel before work in the morning. Get disappointed every time the episode comes to an end. This family is in inspiration and are truly living out my ultimate fantasy. Love seeing you guys travel new places and meeting new people. Keep Them videos coming and see you next week!
Just in time for my morning coffee! Does the salt in the air not affect (stick to) your clothes drying at all? Does no one use/acknowledge diver down flags there? That’s scary having those boats so close and going so fast!
One thing I have not yet understood. You all put out a decent length of chain on the anchor (this make sense). But as this is different for every boat how when the wind shifts does the "short chain" vers "long chain" not end up with boats "touching" in these tight spots?
Keep in mind that the wind will swing all the boats around their anchors at the same time and facing into the wind as it changes, so two neighbor boats won't get pulled in opposite directions against their chains and towards each other.
One lesson I learned when I first learned to sail (some 45 years ago now) is NEVER tie fenders to the life-lines, it is too easy to pin one under the curve of a hull, or worse, under a piling and tear up a life line (and I also learned on a long weekend sail (I know NOT a 2 week passage) to have a spare of the longest life-line for the boat (you can always shorten one but trying to get those 2" is a bear), it might not be perfect but that is always one thing I have/had in a locker.
Great job Renee! I liked this episode a lot, I dont kno why. May be bc It reminded me of my travel experiences. Ben's guitar playing has come a long way, keep up the good work Ben! Lovely island. So nice watching the kids mature & making new acquaintances.
back in the late 2000's I was having to buy 320 gallons of Deisel at over 5 dollars a gallon every other day for my truck. really sucked to be trucker /owner/operator for a while

@@samanthalandry5648 Amazing how people all over the world are going through the same things yet sometimes feels like only we battle them alone! thank you for your comment!
watching you deal with a rainy day made me wonder if you have or if there is some kind of system that allows you to get/catch rain water to allow you to get fresh water that way or do you rely just on a water making plant on your journeys? Thanks for sharing your wonderful life with all its up and downs!
I wonder, how you take care of your acoustic guitars, considering the humidity you are dealing with all the time? Do you keep them in guitar cases? The guitars seem to stay in tune and look good.
Thank you for another great opportunity see such amazing destinations through your vidios. I am sure I will never be able to go to those wonderful places, but seeing them from the comfort my home is satisfying for me. Keep it up.
$6.36 a gallon for diesel isn't too bad in place like the Seychelles, compared to Australia, diesel is hovering around $1.80 a liter or just over $7 a gallon.
its like your anchored on the shoulder of a freeway, crazy all the people right on top of you. i was getting claustrophobic for you, something about being rained in on a sailboat just sounds so nice. : ) awesome video, Ty for sharing

Hey question, how you know how much rope you let go when anchoring ?if you’re not looking from where you at at the anchor line?thanks
Typical minimum scope is 5 times the depth of the anchor, better is 7 to 10x if you have the room to swing.

I'm still waiting for this "bad place" 😍
Do you mean Finn?
back in the late 2000's I was having to buy 320 gallons of Deisel at over 5 dollars a gallon every other day for my truck. really sucked to be trucker /owner/operator for a while
There will be a few folks from Africa and Madagascar,Mauritias in the area.We Zimbabweans drive from Harare to Beira or Maputo on Easter weekends this is one of our go to places other than Kariba.South of where you are Durban area has had very bad rain and floods.
Great video, but didn't like that crowded anchorage.
This is my favorite video yet!!! From awesome backflips to amazing music! I love these videos! They just make ya feel good.
I didn’t look at this channel for a while it gives me good vibes in these crazy times
Got the cat scan done today on my stomach, Waited all day till now to watch your newest episode. Thank you SO much!
Hahahaha did the same thing after my cat scan!! Today 😂
@@samanthalandry5648 Amazing how people all over the world are going through the same things yet sometimes feels like only we battle them alone! thank you for your comment!
I don't know how I got to this channel but I'm with it. New subscriber along for the journey.
watching you deal with a rainy day made me wonder if you have or if there is some kind of system that allows you to get/catch rain water to allow you to get fresh water that way or do you rely just on a water making plant on your journeys? Thanks for sharing your wonderful life with all its up and downs!
I wonder, how you take care of your acoustic guitars, considering the humidity you are dealing with all the time? Do you keep them in guitar cases? The guitars seem to stay in tune and look good.
I like that you were in a bad place, but made it good!!! Happy Sailing!
WOW truly amazing family, thank you❤️🔥 each and every one for the adventure i 🙏 in 🥰❤️🔥🌎 🤲, Amen & Amen.
The kids are more fit.. than the fitbits!! Lol
It seems like a great place to me. I'm in my basement in Canada & it's 10C outside & raining. That may have something to do with it, right?😊😊
Cozy fireplace weather
Thank you for another great opportunity see such amazing destinations through your vidios. I am sure I will never be able to go to those wonderful places, but seeing them from the comfort my home is satisfying for me. Keep it up.
$6.36 a gallon for diesel isn't too bad in place like the Seychelles, compared to Australia, diesel is hovering around $1.80 a liter or just over $7 a gallon.
Love this family there so cool best thing I've found on RUclips
You guys have the best life
i have watched you from the start soo thank you! You're just beyond words! Great and lots of fun. Big smiles!
💕🙏🏼
its like your anchored on the shoulder of a freeway, crazy all the people right on top of you. i was getting claustrophobic for you,
something about being rained in on a sailboat just sounds so nice. : )
awesome video, Ty for sharing
you guys are nuts.......................................................................love it...................................
Renee, the music you used for that anchorage was spot on!
I keep praying and working hard to get my family out and going on adventures and while we are no way near able to accomplish what you have and where you are I refuse to stop trying there has to be a way I need to unplug them entirely and get them all out and away
Great filming and hats off to the editing. Synchronized acrobatics a plus.
As always, I have a mixture of happiness and jealousy watching your videos!
Ha, me toooooo . . . in a good way. I am happy for them, but wish I could do it also!
The back flips put a smile on my face😊
Awesome. Love the ocean around those islands. Cool video. Thanks 👍👍👍❤️
Wonderful enjoyed ur show again!
Always love when you put a new blog on! It was so pretty on the beach I loved everybody with the drums and guitars. These are memories your family will hold forever. You are so blessed. Is there a distance we’re both have to park in the water as compared to where the swimmers are at our their booties out there to market? Continue safely on your travels. Hugs and blessings grandma Tampa
I miss Anna...........hope she visits soonest on her break from College.
One of the better rums I've ever tried was from the Seychelles called Takamaka. If you like rum give it a try. 👍😁
Great video! Love watching everyone making new friends. I know Keith is always making new friends because he never meets a stranger just that good ole Texan hospitality.❤️
