- Heres a DAC we have not played in a while and it really does some great things. We compare with and without Bybee IQSE inside.. Demo Time codes are :39 Stock form and 4:50 with Shakti stone and Bybee inside
Unusual. Seems as if they cleaned things up, but the music also seemed a bit less engaging.
By chance did you try the Shatki Stone by itself?

What was the audio chain in this demo? Was there a preamp involved? I have read that the Metrum Adiago is one of the few DACs that has a good volume control and sounds good going directly into the amps. Can you comment on this or do a demo?

Have you ever compared the Onyx to Adagio? I currently use the Ambre with the Onyx...it's very good

Just bought the little brother of the Adagio, the Metrum Acoustics Amethyst. Awesome value as a DAC and pretty good as a headphone amp too.
I have the Musette and Aurix for headphone duty. They are the forefathers of your beautiful Amethyst! Enjoy listening :)

@@OCDHIFiGuy Thanks but I don't need a pre so I'm checking out the Pavane which has the same DAC as the Adagio. I just had my Cary SLP 98 upgraded so I have the pre covered.

I dont like metrum at all realy bad dacs !! If you want a good dac take a audio note, if you want a good system maybe your last system ;) take audio note !
Audio Note has never impressed me. Perhaps I have not heard the right setup every Audio Note Room I see at shows. Metrum is something we bought to check out and decided not to carry.
@@OCDHIFiGuy haha, you do not have to impress, it has to be as close as possible to the reality, and the emotion of the music, and that's what audio note does, audio note makes music !!
