There’s a behavioral term called “extinction bursts” which is when a person who is trying to cut down on a certain behavior will see the behavior come back every now and then, it’s very natural for almost all people trying to quit or replace a behavior.
I get to see the charts so I see the progression someone makes, but what I’m trying to say is: just because you have a moment of weakness, does not mean you’re not improving (: it’s normal and doesn’t mean you’re not progressing, so keep at it!

“I can’t wait to feel hungry again” brooooo that is so real after you’ve been gorging yourself with whatever and feel gross 🤢. I’m just getting out of that. This video in general is so real and I appreciate it because like I said I’m just getting back on the path after getting off. I like feeling healthy and not icky from crazy insulin spikes. Idk how I lived like that for so long before. Definitely the idea of homeostasis is true and I’m glad I changed my homeostasis.

@@Dojosreview Exactly! We have an over abundance here. I had to learn how to eat all over again because I was never taught how to eat or what to eat. When I was growing up, it was about just filling your stomach with cheap carbs so you didn’t go to bed hungry. I would binge eat at places like after school programs because I didn’t know if I was gonna get to eat when I went home. Now since I am in control of getting my own food, I hoarded it and would get caught up in eating alllllll the time. So I learned how to eat all over again but still slip into eating too much.

Believe me I know I've been working out out town for the last year and a half basically impossible to get a home cooked meal when you're relying on the hotel microwave. Gained 100 lbs cuz of soda and fast food. Just started dieting and exercising again about 3 weeks ago lost 20 lbs so far

Some of my success is because of you I love the way you approach fitness and nutrition especially! The way you approach nutrition on being good, 80 to 90% of the time with eating whatever you want the other 20 to 10% of the time within reason it’s sustainable and I would like to thank you for the information. I don't actually understand what Mike said there. He (Mike) said you can lift more weight if you do chest-back-chest, but the recommendation seemed to be chest-chest-back. So I guess the implication is the weight isn't the goal, but the fatigue?

I'm doing a quite aggressive cut rn with lots of exercise and very little food (in comparison), but the weight is going up 0.2 or 0.3 lbs every now and then. I'm reminding myself it's very likely just inflammation from all the working out, but seeing that your timeline looks the same is very comforting.

I mean, enablers are real but he has the choice (especially as a grown adult considering he’s roommates with someone) to not eat what she’s serving him. Unless she’s strapping him down and shoving food down his throat the weight gain is his fault

    Awesome stuff!
I've been on a weight loss diet since October, currently down around 60lbs.
Last year in January, I didn't want to diet, I went over why I eat the way I do.... boredom, makes me feel good/happy, and is easier. So I decided to do weight lifting for my mental health and to get myself into a healthier mindset. When October rolled around, is when I felt ready to diet.
I still have 70lbs to go, but I'm mostly focused on body fat percentage. For those wondering, I'm doing calorie counting. The biggest thing that has stopped myself from feeling hungry most of the time, is a large portein shake in the morning.
The biggest criticism that I have is that you don't include an eclair with your protein donut balls. You know that after having two balls, people crave that long, cream filled shaft of a pastry. Give them that happy ending, don't blue ball them.

In February of 2021 I weighed 212 lbs(I’m 4’11”) I got down to 165(my goal weight to start) by doing a calorie deficit and exercising like crazy, I got to my goal weight by december and plateaued and could not get myself out of my head to keep losing, I am now 220, I just started back on the calorie deficit around a month ago and watching your channel has given me comfort to know that it’s completely normal to fall off of the wagon sometimes, I’m hoping to get back in routine so I can lose just as much if not more, and gain muscle mass ❤

    • @craftyfoodie-3333
      @craftyfoodie-3333 5 месяцев назад +1

yes it sure is normal to fall off the wagon..your body also tries to get you to get back to your highest weight at some point..I can be going along great with zero cravings and after I lose around 15 to 20 percent ..all of a sudden the cravings kick in like crazy. I have lost and gained the same 30 to 40lbs so many times that I can't count. The key is to know that it can happen and the hormones like ghrelin will kick in and the best thing you can do is have a plan..like keeping foods that you have a hard time controlling out of the house, exercising, get a notebook and write down what is going on, drink more water and so on. Wishing you good vibes and hope that this time we can get to our goal and keep the weight off.

Alot of people focus on lifting heavy weight and end up using poor form and engaging the muscles around the target muscle and not the target muscle it self… Low weight, high reps, I find lets you focus more on that target muscle burn. Great video Will!

Awesome to see you taking things seriously, I just hope that Fun Will is merely taking a nap and I'll see him again.
You are indeed a serious contender, everyone can see that, but you're also an awesome entertainer I like to watch when I'm not after instructions per se (although some of your insights helped me a lot!), but a good laugh, doubting myself or searching for the meaning in my own fitness journey.
Of course, your own goals will be and are far more important than that and I wish you the best to achieving them. Just know, Fun Will would be missed deeply.

There’s probably something to be said about Will putting out an “I fixed my life” or “I lost weight in 30 days” video 2x a year but if I’m being honest that’s a dumb standard to hold a RUclipsr for.
I like that we keep getting the content because it’s so helpful and it’s kind of cathartic to see someone so successful getting caught in some of the same ebbs / flows that I do.
Thanks for all you do Will. Never change ❤️

Honestly it's probably the most realistic thing about him. That's how most people are; they maintain a weight for a whole then it creeps up, like around the holidays or summer or whatever, then you notice the shake going up or clothes fit tighter, and you cut back to hopefully your previous weight. I love that will has the same hurdles most of us have and that even though he's been on RUclips for years and was a personal trainer before that, he's still learning and teaching out to people he can learn from.
