There's a pretty great taco place down the street from where I'm at in Costa Rica. But my best tacos ever were from a little stand by the beach in San Diego :)

Los Tacos is so good because the owner is from Mexico and kept the recipes authentic.

Hey, brother! Great video. The best bang for your buck taco is in Sunset Park at a taco truck called Tacos el Bronco. I recommend the tacos al pastor which is delicious and just $1.75. Just be advised expect a long wait line.

The best tacos I have ever had were by the roadside in Tulum Mexico - super fresh fried shrimp (camarones) tacos with delicious toppings that you add yourself, and also you can get really fresh ceviche made from fish just caught that morning with lots of lime and cilantro. Amazing salsa and hot sauces and fresh tortilla chips. It is right next to the St. Francis of Assisi supermarket (which is on the left hand side of the taco stand if you are coming from Cancun) at the turn-in to Tulum from the main highway from Cancun to Tulum. A must if you happen to be there. Affordable, open air simple food stand, friendly, and you definitely need a nice cool Negroni. I guarantee you will order more.

Being from California there's some amazing tacos here , went to New York a few weeks ago and ate los tacos #1 and the pork taco was delicious!!! I would definitely go back! So many amazing places to eat in NYC, can't wait to go back !
Cali is tough to beat for tacos.
If you are ever in San Francisco, you have to go to La Taqueria on Mission Street. Best tacos I've ever had. They are on the pricey side but worth it.
So I went to Los Tacos earlier this week because it's near my job after looking up "best tacos in NYC". And I had the steak and the chicken tacos. I will definitely go back next week and try the pork taco.

Best tacos I've ever had are Spicy Shrimp tacos in Tijuana, Mexico. The place is called El Mazateño and the aforementioned taco is so good that it carries the name of the place, "Mazateña".
Hey Jon...Seeing your Hawaiian Air hat made me comment. Coming from Cleveland, I have lived in Hawaii most of my life thanks to the US Army and have been a loyal Hawaiian Air customer my whole life. (What's your experience with them?) Now back living in Cleveland, I go to NYC each fall to see a Broadway show and have followed the WTC rebuilding. This year is the first time I have really come to You Tube for some New York City suggestions. I just subscribed and have watched about 10 of your videos. YOURS ARE THE VERY BEST!

*here In mexico, a single taco costs $0,5 dollars (average Taqueria). Can go as high as 3-5 dollars on some very fine restaurants.*
As much as I love some good tacos con todito I can't justify paying 3.50 for those tiny tacos, especially after being in Mexico and it costing 90 cents and it being double in size, Maybe 2 dollars OK but 3.50 ?!?! I'll pass

Those tacos looked real good... I think i'll go try that fish taco in queens, but definitely the taco restaurant on 43rd st in Times Square since i live in Manhattan.

Have you ever tried Zaragoza on Avenue A between 13th and 14th street on LES. A little Mexican grocery store with home made dishes to stay or go.. give it a try.

I’ve been in those places you tried tacos and I thought I was having the best tacos. Until a friend of mine told me to try the tacos from the “Birrialandia” a taco truck in Queens NY. So, once when walking over Roosevelt Ave that recommendation came into my mind and I try those tacos. I couldn’t believe what I was trying “those tacos are the best and cheap. It’s another leve!

I was so close to commenting on why you didn't go to queens lol and then you finally went. But personally, I think the best tacos in NYC are from a truck, at least in queens. If you're ever in the area, right outside the train station on 74st and roosevelt, (in front of the Colombian bakery and across from chase) there's a truck that makes the best carnitas tacos! I'll definitely try the locos tacos, and the 82nd street tacos!
Yeah, I knew I'd have gotten a lot of flak if I didn't leave Manhattan, so I made sure to include a Queens spot! Hmm... i'll keep that food truck in mind. Thanks.
the first place, taco mix, is the ONLY place i eat tacos, their al pastor (slightly under salted for my taste, but just sprinkle salt) and chorizo tacos are delicious, and their hot green avocado sauce hella good

Nice to see you try! Makes me want to come back and taste the good ones :p BTW: Yelp has usually bad tastes. Use Google Maps reviews, for some reason the taste of the reviewers are way better :)
Yeah. Although, I've seen that outside of NYC Yelp reviews are way to nice and in NYC a 4-5 star review is something to take note of. I also like Four Square !
The secrets to using Yelp, is to also look at the filtered reviews. As unfortunately a lot of times, I've sadly seen legit reviews for businesses fall into that page. And anytime you see a reviewer without an avatar and only say like 1 to 2 reviews, I'd immediately be skeptical of such reviews. Aka as some Yelp users call such questionable users which are probably planted reviewers to pretend to make a business look better than it actually is, 'question mark head/QMH' reviewers.
To me I like using Yelp more than Google for business reviews, but to each their own. TripAdvisor is also good for hotel/motel reviews, but unfortunately is less reliable for finding restaurant and bar reviews. Finally back to Google, it annoys me how when I've tried to submit updated hours for a business, that Google is slow as heck to actually updating a business' hours. OTOH, Yelp usually updates them pretty quickly, if I submit a business' updated hours.
Finally Foursquare used to be better for short tips on businesses, but it's weird hardly anyone today uses that site. :( I think it was around the time Foursquare/FS introduced Swarm, that it confused a lot of FS users, and the amount of people leaving tips became less after that point.

Stop eating your tacos 5 blocks away. Please eat it on the spot, it is best eaten that way. The tortilla changes in density and becomes stale the longer you wait or it gets soggy depending on the sauce on top of the taco.
