I'm just a 7th grader when I started watching you, now I am on my last year on college, seeing you go back to those phone I've watched over the years make me feel so old! More videos to come, Hugh! Your videos over the years never failed to make me happy! ;)
I was just a 7th grader*
IF you are in middle school/high school, then you wouldn't have made such a foolish mistake. Work on your English, kid.
Shut up@@CanadianBakin42O

I also repair tech, I have more than 100 phones and tablets and 30+ computers! That's just what happens when you do tech repair as a hobby!
I just collect phones I've got ten or 12 all with broken screens, and an old iPad. And might have some old flip phones.
Cute budgie you have
Looking like that in your profile picture I really doubt that kid 💀💀
🧢
I own a phone repair shop since 1999, as you can imagine I got hundreds of various devices from vintage car-phones in a bag to the latest models. One of the showcases is a museum of phones from 1987 till 2007 the year of the first iPhone. :)
9:33 It's the Xperia 10 III randomly updating the phone app icon for me, LOL! 🤣
I can't believe the variety you've got there. From the old-school iPods to the classic iPhones and even those customized unique devices, it's like a tech museum in a drawer. Looking forward to that side project in 2024 and maybe snagging a unique device from your store Hugh!
Great to see a collection video after all this time!
I loved your early apple collection videos and its cool to see how it evolved
And you still have that earrape phone 😅
@@Moerfel Wade would LOVE to have that nugget :P
A BlackBerry Priv2 should have happened during the TCL days because that form factor us actually perfect, the back camera was really good too all it really needed was ram & internal storage upgrade, better processor and possibly a 4,000mAh battery as i always found the battery to be lacklustre compared to the battery life of my KeyOne which i'm still using.
Happy New Year Hugh!
May we all prevail in happy hoarding!
the blackberry being the coolest thing ever but the worst processor ever sums up pretty much every interesting phone
9:29 look at the Phone app change from blue to white while its being updated on the Xperia pretty cool! Haha
You CAN actually fix those Apple ID locked devices, you can just take out their motherboards and replace their NAND chips, then put them in DFU mode and then try reflashing them in iTunes
He's said before that he doesn't have that level of soldering skill or the right tools.
You can however it’ll also update to the latest iOS
Open a museum showcasing these awesome phones so that future generations can see what awesome phones we had
I've been watching you for so long I remember when you uploaded your last phone collection video! I was watching way before that too lol
You've inspired me to start fixing devices and preventing e-waste Hugh, I also have a mini collection of rare devices, most notably a iPhone 5 on iOS 6.0, a Samsung Galaxy S2 on Android 2.3.4 a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on Android 6.0.1 never updated, a Samsung Galaxy Note8 on Android 7.1.1 never updated and the phone I'm using to type this message, a Samsung galaxy Note 9 on Android 8.1.0 which I use as my media consumption device as all my other devices don't support my buds 2 pro.
Thank you hugh for all the awesome videos over the past year, looking forward to more of the same in 2024, happy new year! 🎉
Why don't you update your note? Security updates are quite important and you'll get android 10 gestures
@@Tommy-qe6fhcause it’s rare 🙄
I am doing the same as you
My wife's Note 9 is still going strong, after 4 1/2 years of heavy usage.
The Status Symbol of Phones 🔥
SAMSUNG (till now)
APPLE (till now)
BLACKBERRY (no longer op)
Happy new year!
Have a good 2024!
That's a really nice collection. I too have a phone collection, but it mainly consists in old style phones with buttons, like the Nokia 3510i, the Nokia 2300, a Samsung SGH P series, but also older smartphones, like the Galaxy W, the Nokia e7, the Nokia 500, wn iPhone 5S, a Nokia Lumia 635 4G, an HTC Touch with Windows Mobile 6 Professional, and also a Nokia 5230, my childhood phone, owned by my father between 2009 and late 2011. But the best touchscreen smartphone I have is an iPhone : an iPhone 3G in black colour, 8GB, running some version of iOS 4 (the last iOS for the iPhone 3G). And that iPhone 3G still works perfectly, I sometimes use it as an MP3 player. I also have an iPad 3rd Gen Model A1430, running iOS 9.3.6 and I found a way to bypass the impossibility of downloading some apps on older iOS versions. All I needed was the previously mentioned iPhone 5S, which runs iOS 12.5.7
I also had other phones I threw away, which were my daily use phones. I had the LG K4 2017, the Galaxy J7 2017, the Galaxy A50, an iPhone 6s on iOS 13.1, then the Galaxy A32 5G, the Xiaomi Mi11 Lite 5G, an used Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, and now I have a Realme 11 Pro Plus 5G 12/512 GB. Best phone I had so far, together with the N20U.
I also have a lot of retro consoles, but I won't list them since this video is specifically phone-oriented
started watching you when i was grade 7, now im grade 12, graduating senior this year and going to college in a few months, good old times
i also remember when u modified that iphone 6s, that nice purple back it got back then
I just watched whole video upside down and didn't notice that
Happy new year Hugh! hope you continue repairing phones in 2024! we love your content!
Yessssssssssss! when We Wanted Him The Most, He Finally Came Back!
Nice to see your product red 7 is still kicking around, remember it from years ago
wow this collection is very impressive, and i thought my collection was huge but compared to this it's tiny
Just curious, do you keep those devices charged to 40-50% so the lithium ion battery don't deteriorate during long term storage? What is your strategy?
amazing, coincidental too because I was going to suggest in the comments to make a collection video. Happy holidays
I want that Sony Experia; they are fantastic smartphones.
i came across your channel for these videos..and u are an honest person...love ur content...🎉
Honestly I always love the iPhone 5s I love small phones and the headphone jack,, man it would be a really nice phone to listen some musics with, and the camera is still pretty decent
Nice collection. I have an Ipad 1 in very good condition at home that we don’t use anymore. Galaxy s4 is usable as supporter by Lineage OS. I really like your 2 note 7. They are amazing.
nice collection hugh, i also repair devices(my devices) but cant still buy broken phone cause im still studying and broke.
WOW! That is so crazy! You have a lot of rare apple devices! I’m very jealous, so surprising!
Also, Happy New Year! 🎉
Hey Hugh Jeffreys that was a very interesting wee video that you made your collection off phones, tablets and ipod's I hope too see more videos off you fixing phones and ect I like watching you fix all them phones. I would like too try and fix phones myself so I would like too fix phones for people. I have a wee small collection off older and broken phones I do have a few newer ones that I have and they work.
"Couldn't even fit them all in the thumbnail" A perfect way to break the 4th wall.
3:17 I want this phone.. 🤣
3:37 the harp noise sounds like the fart meme sound 😂 I remember when you got that phone in a big parts lot
This video came out for me exactly at midnight.
Hilarious! I’ve got my old Motorola MicroTac (1995), Samsung SG600, Samsung random clamshell, Samsung Galaxy S4 (1.5 of these), 2 iPhone 6S, an iPhone 12 mini and a custom-painted portion of my son’s 1999 Nokia… It’s fun to look back. I loved the SG600. It was so tidy.
That note 7 is beautiful 😭
man that Coral Blue Note7 makes me jelly haha
Happy New Year to you Hugh 😊
oh how i would love to own that iphone with distorted speakers
Not only the speaker output is distorted, but the headphone output is too, thanks to its broken audio processing chip. :D
7:40 I'm still rocking this one, a little bit over 4 years now.
Hugh Jeffreys is getting closer to 1 million subscribers.
As some who sells tech, this is beautiful 😍
Gotta love that iphone 4 speaker 🗣️🔥🔥🔥
With that many phones, how did you maintain the batteries health? Or did you just shut it off, never to be turned on again unless needed to?
Just fuck it
3:17 took me so off guard holy shit
You my friend, are living the dream
Jeff, how do you handle the Samsung battery bulging issue on older devices?? I have faced the issue on some S8 and S9 devices when left unused for a few days. Also wanted to check on your car restoration project, haven't heard about it recently?😊 Happy New year BTW 🎉
I've been watching your videos for years.
Love the old Nokia in the final box..is it the 5110 or the 5146?.. remember having one way back in the day..
If I wanted one it would be old battered and useless BUT would come with your autograph because I'm just a big fan of your work.
I would love to buy your refurbished phones 😊 especially that note 7
I repair tech for fun. I have 15 phones, 3 computers, 2 consoles and 3 iPods. These are all mine to have fun with lol.
3:17 the way I started laughing
I wish I had some of your older Apple products such as the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus on iOS 8 or the iPhone 7 in Product Red. The iPad minis are also devices I’ve always wanted. Those gold iPhones look magnificent and I wish I could own one for my collection.
Awesome video and great collection! Keep up the good work! Love how you store your collection too!
PS: I’ve got an iPod 5th generation gifted to me by a friend of mine in near mint condition with an incredibly clean and almost scratch free housing, wish you could see it.
Thanks to your videos I have bought used/ broken phones and replaced screens and the like. Thanks 👍
amazing collection
3:27 yes iPhone 4 speaker and I love it 😂
Great collection man! One Pro Tip : Update the iCloud Locked Phones to their latest software and then do bypass this way those phones can be reused again.
If I be in Australia, I will surely visit your home/office/work station
I collect older devices. Old phones, old music players, old digital cameras, old VHS/VHSC camcorders, old laptops, old bicycles, and a 34 years old but otherwise brand new car. I also have custom built bicycles to move around the country.
Bro's literally living my dream!!(I'm jealous fr)
Amazing see this, Hugh!
Did anyone saw the Ariana Grande wallpaper on one of the blackberries. Reminded me the time when every phone was with it
Happy new year Hugh
All that was a “Hugh” Deal!😂😂
🤓
Merry Christmas and happy new year
the Note7 is one phone im really looking into getting at some point
Bro should have his 2 note 7 away bc if one blows up then all of ur phones blow up
I have a massive collection too! My favorite being my iPhone 3GS never updated on iOS 3.0
i wish i had the graveyard pile, its just cool to hold them without actually able to use them
I wish there would still be smartphones with physical keyboard and up-tp-date specs. Yeah, I could probably get Blackberry, Unihertz or something more alternative-er like Astro Slide or FXtec, but they all have old hardware and / or OS and are expensive for what you get.
well, I don't have much stuff but I have:
- iphone 5s, 6, 6s, xs (main)
- realme 6 pro (bricked), random zte
- ipad pro 2017, ipad 3
- asus tuf f15 2023 (main laptop), hp envy x360 2018
- some other stuff
Happy new year ❤❤❤

What happened to that crazy iphone 4? Why does the speaker sound like that?? LOL
Lowkey would love a Note 7 or FE
am I the only one who noticed that the Contacts app icon at 5:20 looks identical to the Samsung Contacts icon in One UI?
Whats actually wrong with that one iPhone with the sound problems?
The pixel and note fe ❤
Samsung would like to thank you for not mentioning the Galaxy S6... they also want to forget that it ever existed lol
Great video man! Really love your videos and I follow your channel for a couple years now :D
Can´t wait for more!
(Thnaks to you i replaced my monther´s 6S battery 2 years ago :DD)
bro owns 2 bombs 🗣️
He put a safe battery inside them
Ah yes the iphone from Hell
I was waiting for a collection update
Im just curious: What's the issue with the Nokia in the phone graveyard?
That's the problem with phones getting older: the batteries. Either they stop work because of age or too many cycles or are expanded.
Next problem is that the operating system is too old for today's apps/services or that the phone cannot use an OS that is modern enough.
Another problem is these phones with only 2G-3G. Because many countries are shutting these networks down the coming years. Seems like 2025 is that year. Or last day of 2025. Maybe a bit different in all countries. And just because an old phone got 4G doesnt mean that you can use it in the future (for phone calls). You need a 4G phone with VoLTE for phone calls. For iPhone this means that iPhone 6 or newer is "qualified" for the future. MAYBE 5S, 5C and 5 will work, just maybe. And maybe you can use an older iPhone with some VoIP service, depends on if the apps are compatible.
So yeah, these older phones will become pretty useless "soon". Games that are installed can be played, as long as the battery works.
I'm trying now to get rid of my older phones that will not qualify for the future. Trying to look at the phones as tools.
The sad thing is that when these phones got released, these phones were so popular. Now a few years later these phones are ALMOST useless.
Almost all Nokia Symbian phones cannot use the web now in 2023-24. This is because of the modern web with HTTP and other new stuff. It's a lottery if you can find a site that will work.
I can understand that some people love to collect or hoard these older phones and other devices. We need some museums or something for preservation. Not just photos. We need the phones somewhere. Wish I can donate some of my older phones... but who want these phones? And that's the big question...
Loved the video hugh
How much for a iPhone 3GS. That was my first iPhone and I loved it and has so much nostalgic memories for me
Wake up, Hugh uploaded an video
King status video. Plus the Amazing custom collection 🫡🔥🔥🔥
Is it weird that i only owned iphone 7 plus. For few months. But other than that never. But still watched Jeffrey's apple products repair videos like i owned them😂
Super cool video, Hugh! I love seeing all those old phones;they are so cool. The custom ones are definitely the coolest. I am looking forward to more awesome content from your channel in 2024!
And i think you should get iPhone 6 on ios 12, iPhone 7 on ios 15, and also iPad air 2 on ios 15. This way you can compare them with your current devices running original firmwares, but make sure NOT to update them whatsoever, as with all other iphones on original ios versions, and that is why I suggest you get iPhone 8 on ios 11 & iPhone X on ios 11, so you can have all the way from 3G (eventually 1st gen) to iPhone X on their original firmwares.
Have a Happy and successful New Year.
I recently sold most of my hoard. I had even more than that. I've still got legacy devices like the first iPhone, Nexus 1, hd2 etc. You just can't let them go.
I can't wait to see the Vertu fix!
When hugh said the google pixel 4a part my google assistant popped up 😅
i wish i got a note 7 dude😭🥶
Hugh, I love your videos, but I have to ask: Why did you blur those two app icons in the intro at around 0.21?
