this is an awesome build. I was so skeptical to run 1tons on my 4.0L due to highway's and elevation changes on it. But i think i'm sold. to the junkyard i go.
Thanks so much! Lots of 4.0’s out there with 1-Tons. It’s all about hearing and tire size. These are stock 4.10 gears in both axles and on 37’s, the 4.0 does great. Still moves 80 mph down the highway. Good luck 👍🏼
This is one of the slickest 1 ton WJ builds I've seen. I've got the 99 WJ with 2001 4.0 that I'm building for torque, including a Mellon Cam, Banks header, 12 port Bosch injectors, double roller timing chain, etc. After all that is complete, then we start on the suspension.
So what's faster top end 13-43(3.31) or 11-41(3.73) it's easier to gear swap in 3.73 axles rather than this also.. looks cool, I'd love to drive that around for a day
The WJ which engine is in it. I have one 2002 with the 4.7 I bought a 4.7 HO and runs great after a total engine rebuild has the select track 242HD transfer case love it. Up front dana 30, rear is Dana 44A , Not finished next suspension upgrade.
Bad ass man I seen you the other day in pasco I have the white lifted wj I actually got a picture of my rig next you yours when it was at les schwab... 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Oh, no way! Thanks man. I remember passing you, on road 68 I think, right? Awesome man. Be stoked to see what you’ve don’t to yours too. DM me on IG or Facebook, I’m @psfgarage on both.
Hey what's up, love the jeep!! I was hoping you could tell me what measurement you have your arms set up at, I to have the 4 inch long arm rc lift, and am running 6.5 inch springs, rc website gives you measurements for the 4 inch spring, but not 6.5 of course! Any info would be very appreciated! Thank you!!
Thanks so much for watching and appreciate the compliment! I set all the arms to what RC states to do as a starting point, which for each is almost all the way in. The big factor with mine is the way the Artec brackets are setup on the axles and the fact that the upper front arms were lengthened substantially. Mine are a lot different because of the 1 ton swap. What axles are you running with your lift?
@@PSFGarage what all did you cut off when trimming under headlights? Does the headlights still have support? I'm wanting to cut exactly like your but I dont have a front bumper as of yet. I was wondering if it will affect my lights.
Nice! I’m in Pasco, WA actually. So Juniper is right up the road. I’ve got a little group of guys getting together here occasionally. DM me on IG or FB and maybe we can meet up for some wheeling!
Thanks so much Gabe, that’s really cool to hear. I really appreciate that! Still running the good ole 4.0 in-line 6. Great motor and works well for what I need…for now 💪🏼
Sorry man, that part of the video sounds confusing when I say it. The WJ is actually open in the front and has a factory GM LSD in the back. I have a dedicated trail rig I’m building that has 14 bolt axles front and rear with 5.38’s and spools. Have tested it out yet but it’ll be interesting to see how it performs. Thanks for the question and for checking out the video!
@@PSFGarage well, the 4.7HO that I got has the select trac so it's like the 4.0 but has more power. It's a unicorn. Factory 4.7HO with select-trac, I couldn't believe it.
Quite the daily driver! Can't wait to see what it does in the future!
Thanks guys! Gotta get those groceries home some how!

Thanks! Definitely more to come!

@@PSFGarageso did you run 4 or 6 hole injectors and which ratio are you on with the 37" I am unsure if you said in the duration of your video
Sweet! I enjoy the insights of the D60s. I'll for sure save this for reference looks awesome
Thanks so much Jacob!
Congratulations sick build fellas good job clean work
Thanks so much! We appreciate it!
Awesome man. Love my 4.0 wj, I'm looking into an axle swap
Thanks man! It’s a fun process to build some axles and swap them in. Keep us posted!

Sweet build
Thanks so much!
Lol what a Scaredy cat
I know right!
I have a 2004 WJ 4.7 V8 want to start working on the suspension. The WJ has 150K.
Nice man! Do it, you won’t regret it. It’s a great platform to build!
Great build!
Thanks so much!

Actually just was thinking that yours are gunna be different because of your 1 ton axles, unfortunately I have stock axles

Nice build, should’ve did it on a 4.7 beast
Thanks man. Happy to have to 4.0 for now. Maybe it’ll get an LS swap someday 🤷🏻♂️
Very nice build!!
I appreciate that, thanks!
Are you still running stock transmission and transfer case?
Yep. The NP242 got upgraded with a Tom Woods Slip Yoke Eliminator and new front 1310 yoke. It’s been working great.

I bought an 04 WJ and gonna build it up, but your WJ is an absolute inspiration. Are you still running stock motor?
Thanks so much Gabe, that’s really cool to hear. I really appreciate that! Still running the good ole 4.0 in-line 6. Great motor and works well for what I need…for now 💪🏼
Running the front and rear locked all the time, have you experienced excessive tire wear or other problems??

WJ looks cool. But how long will that 42re last on that setup? 42re = junk transmission
Thanks man. Who knows, haha, I gues we'll find out!
Nice build! I just picked up a 04 with I6, iron rock 4” long arm w/bilstiens running 32 dick cepecks on steelies.
Thanks man! Can’t beat the I6! Sounds like a great rig you picked up. Congrats! Thanks for watching too, I appreciate it 🤘🏼
It needs to be done in a 4.7 HO.
Do it! I like the 4.0 and if I do anything else, it’ll get LS swapped. Thanks for watching too, I appreciate it!
