Did you figure out the settings? You just set it clear thick acrylic then did you “set focus “?
Yes I found in the Glowforge forum I recommend you mask your glass prior engraving, glass settings: Speed: 850, power: full, LPI: 340 Passes:2 Focus : Auto. however I've always used the "medium Acrylic settings" (Focus: Auto) and has always worked for me ;)

What were the settings?
Heya, just wondering if you found your settings the exact settings for the shot glass? The video says thick acrylic but you also mentioned you need to find the exact numbers? I'm trying to engrave a square shot glass for my late dad... thankyou amazing video btw thankyou for sharing!

Is it dishwasher friendly when engraved?
I haven’t try them in the dishwasher however if the glass is dishwasher safe I think its not a problem

in my opinion this will depend on your needs and I have the basic and works well for me, the difference between Basic and the Pro is the speed(the Pro is faster), the warranty (is 1 year), and the pass through slot (if you are going to make big signs must order Pro Basic dont have this option) I have a discount code if you decide to buy one you will save up to $500 will link down below :)

How do you manage to do this?! I though you can only engrave glass with a rotary!, doesn’t the name look odd as it’s a round object?
No it looks great, I added the tape that prevents the glass from moving, also the size of the font doesn't cover the entire glass shot that helps as well Thanks for watching!

Karen Hernandez If the tumbler is small probably yes the trick here is the size with The Glowforge you can’t engrave bigger items thats why I choose shot glass

Hi Trevell! you need to remove the crumb tray in order for you to engrave thick objects

What does weld your text mean exactly?
I was going to come and give this tip as well. Welding will make the text one solid stroke and eliminate the "clear space" (looks like scratches/chips missing ) that you see between the letters.
