Er’mer’gerd that kitten! Be still my heart ❤️ The village finish is stunning! Congrats😊 This is my official sign up for a bold poppy project bag…not kidding.
Thanks Barb. It’s so nice to have a finish on such a large piece. Now if I can just finish Behind the Bit! That kitten makes me giddy every time I look at it! 😆 Thanks for watching! ❤️
Christmas Village is FABULOUS👏🏻👏🏻. I love triple border, the red is perfect. OLLIE!! He little face came out of nowher😂😂. You’re so close to finishing By The Bit. I like that Alisa pattern, I’ve done their kits before, they’re good. That baby bunny❤
Thanks Nicole. The lady at the fabric store was spot on helping me pick fabrics. Which was fortunate since I came directly from an eye exam and my pupils were still dilated after having some retinal photos done! I was having issues seeing the colours clearly! Have you seen the little Alisa hedgehog pattern? Have you stitched that one? If you look closely in the video you can see that the bunny’s left front leg extends straight back along his side. He seems to do just fine on three legs. And he seems to love dandelions so my husband is loving that. Thanks for watching!
Hi Theresa! 👋🏻 Thank you so much. It’s been so fun watching that giant horse come together stitch by stitch, column by column, page by page. Several thousand more stitches and he’ll be done. 😆 Thanks for stopping by. Take care.
Thank you so much Lisa. I appreciate your support for my channel and my Etsy shop! 😄 Your bag is on its way to you as we speak! I finally did Ollie’s nails yesterday. 😉 Thanks for stopping by to visit with me. ❤️
Hi Jayne! 👋🏻 I was so surprised when I heard them say my name. I was touched and honoured to be considered a golden friend. 🥰 Thanks so much for watching. Happy stitching!
🛎️🛎️🛎️!! Congratulations on your Christmas Village finish 👏👏. Your horse projects are amazing, your temp chart looks darling, and then there's Ollie , the cat, and the bunny❤❤.
Thanks so much. So many animal antics! Keeps things interesting, that’s for sure. I’m thinking about spending July (my birthday month) just working on all of my horse WIPs. Thanks for stopping by for a visit. 😄 Happy stitching! ❤️
I had the same reaction to seeing the chunky kitten as you - it is so adorable. Those stitches are tiny & it will be loads of confetti! Looking forward to seeing your progress on this project. I also love your horses - gorgeous. Glad I found you, I will have to binge watch your previous videos this weekend. ❤
Hi Deborah! 👋🏻 That chunky kitten just melts my heart. I’m looking forward to getting more stitches in and watching him come to life too. 😄 Thanks for stopping by to check out what I’ve been working on. Take care and happy stitching!
I love your projects. The Cardinal one is my favorite, but I love them all. The kitty in the background is a nice touch. My kitty looks a lot like yours. She is always wanting to get into my projects. But it is okay. She brightens up my life. Thanks for sharing your cross stitch projects with us.
Thanks Donna. The colours in that Cardinal project are unusual but they all seem to work together. I can’t wait to get to the Cardinal itself. Piper often seems to make an appearance in the background of my videos. Technically, she’s not supposed to be on the counter but she’s not very good at following the rules. 😂 Thanks for watching.
First time viewer thanks to Pam and Steph - Love love love your horses - so glad I found you - your work is amazing - I am in Ottawa Ontario and so glad to follow a fellow Canadian ❤
Hi from Owen Sound! 👋🏻 Thank you so much for popping over to check out my channel. I have a few horse projects in my WIP pile. I’m contemplating taking a break from my rotation next month (my birthday month 😉) and spending the entire month just working on all of my horse projects. 😆 I may even throw in a new start or two! #stitchallthehorses Happy stitching! 😄
My first time watching. Your stitching is wonderfu!l! Enjoyed your choice of charts. Subscribed and liked, I will be catching up on the rest of your videos. Christmas village is outstanding! Congratulations!
Hi Julie! 👋🏻 It’s been so amazing watching that horse come together stitch by stitch, column by column page by page. I’m excited but also a bit sad as I get closer and closer to a finish. I think I’ll miss him when he’s done. 😆 Thanks so much for watching.
Kris, I'm so excited that I found you today! I love what you are working on (the horses and that fluffy adorable kitten) and can't wait to go backwards and binge you. I'll be back to see you! ~ Nicky
That wall hanging is beautiful ❤ I’m definitely going to borrow that idea . I am a quilter and my creative mind is just working overtime now on how to finish my cross stitches differently 😊
Just found your channel, Kris, and love all that your WIPS. Christmas Village is really stunning! I will be coming back to see your progress on all those lovely projects you’re working on.
Your stitching is awesome! I love your finishing examples! You have given me some great ideas for a large piece I have been trying to figure out how to finish.
Thanks Carol! I’m glad I could give you a bit of inspiration. The large pieces are hard aren’t they? We can’t all afford to have huge pieces like that professionally framed so we definitely need to find creative ways to display them in our homes. Thanks so much for stopping by! 😄
Hi. Just found your channel when half cross stitches mentioned you on her latest video. I love the horse and pet patterns that you showed so much that I just ordered behind the bit and can't wait to start stitching it. Look forward to your future videos. Have a great day.
How fun! It’s a fun piece to stitch. A decent amount of solid stitching with a bit of confetti thrown in to keep it interesting. Enjoy! I’m just sorting the threads for Thunder Ridge as we speak. Can’t wait to start putting some stitches in on that beauty! Thanks so much for watching. Take care. 😊
I just found your channel! You came up in my recommendations and I don't know with you having 40 videos why I haven't seen you before now. Your wips are amazing and I love everything about your channel! Setting here doing some knitting and watching you has been so relaxing. I'm going to go back and watch your others. ❤
Thank you for your lovely feedback. The RUclips algorithms are a mystery to me. I’m glad we could hang out and craft together. 😊 I appreciate you watching and taking the time to leave a comment. It means a lot. Take care and happy stitching! 😄
I just found your channel as well. Love your presentation and the great projects you do. Christmas on the farm jumped into a cart. Oh My !!! Thanks for the enjoyable show !!!
I, too have just found you and was amazed at your projects! I wouldn't even attempt the two with horses. In any case, happy to have found your channel please keep up the good work.
Hi Sarah! 👋🏻 Thank you so much. For some crazy reason I seem to be drawn to large or complicated patterns. 😆 The real challenge is to actually finish those projects! Thanks for stopping by to visit with me.
Thanks Lori. The lady at the fabric store was really good at matching colours and was a big help! Maybe I’ll have to take it back with me someday to show her what she helped me create. Thanks so much for stopping by. 😄
Your behind the bit piece is almost done , it looks great! And the Christmas Village finish is beautiful! I went on vacuum May so I need to get back on my Tellin Emblem Cardinal, I started in the middle so I need to stitch the outside 😁 ! I have a couple of the new patterns you shared so when you start one I will have to stitch along 😁. Thanks , Kim ☀️
Hi Kim! Thanks so much. I feel like I'm getting close to a finish with Behind the Bit as well but when I look at how much is left I think it would still take me 3 - 4 months even if that was the only thing I worked on. But I know I would burn out if I tried to do that so I will just settle in and enjoy the process and some day I will be able to celebrate putting that last stitch in. I'm loving stitching on the Tellin Emblem piece, can't wait to do more in that series. Which of the new charts do you have? I was toying with starting Random Thoughts as a birthday start next month. Thanks for watching.
Oh my word. This video just came up in my feed and I watched it bc of ur fully finished Christmas village on the front. I am now subscribed. The kitten stitch that you just started is adorable but I have to say that your face when showing us the pattern was adorable as well. The project that I seriously couldn’t keep my eyes off of though was that second horse. The one with the rider on it. Absolutely stunning and unique!!!
Thank you so much Linda. 😊 Your kind words made my day. My big horse (Behind the Bit by White Willow Stitching) is my favourite WIP. He’s pretty popular. I look forward to eventually finishing him but I know I will miss stitching on him once he is done. I’ll definitely be getting him professionally framed. Thank you for stopping by and thank you for subscribing! Take care and happy stitching! 😄
Ohhh, Kris. I am never disappointed when you show Behind the Bit!! Just Stunning. And the Stallion is amazing. Excellent work. In addition to that, I love your Christmas Village! woohoo
Awww, thanks Patti. I’m a little sad I won’t get to stitch on Christmas Village any more. Maybe I’ll need to start another Sara Guermani pattern! Behind the Bit will take a while but I’m hoping to finish the Stallion in the next few months. 🤞🏻 Wishful thinking! 😆 Thanks so much for stopping by. 😄
Thank you so much. I must admit, I have several more horse projects in my WIP pile and a few more on the way! 😆 Thanks for stopping by to check out what I’ve been working on. Take care and happy stitching. 😄
That Christmas stocking is a beauty. I know it is out of print, but I will be hunting for that kit or maybe someone will be interested in selling the pattern. I really enjoyed watching your channel.
Thanks so much Pat. That stocking is gorgeous, isn’t it? I love it! That one will be for horse obsessed me. I also have the Santa’s Truck one in my WIP pile for my car obsessed husband and have completed some animal themed ones for my two daughters. Once they are all stitched and fully finished I will do a show and tell to share them all. Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy stitching! 😄
Thanks Amanda. 😊 It was a bit of a beast! Gives me new respect for people who quilt and who wrangle that much (and much more) fabric all of the time! 😆 Thanks for watching.
I look forward to seeing all your projects. Your sewing and stitching are perfect. Also the miniature pieces are amazing. So much detail!! I enjoy floss tubers showing what's out there, patterns, fabric, floss etc. There aren't as many stores around where you can check out what's new. I'm really dependent on this community to help with this addiction!! Thank you 😊
Thanks Pete’s Mom. Always happy to help out a fellow addict! 😆 I’m in a rural community and other than Michaels, the closest needlework shop to me is 3 hours away so I also rely on Flosstube to find out what’s new. Thank goodness for on line shopping! Thank you for stopping by to visit and for taking the time to leave a comment. It means a lot. 😄
Congratulations on your finish! I've recently discovered your channel and this Christmas Village stuck in my mind, I couldn't wait to see your progress on it. Funny thing, when you raised it now fully finished my first question was "wow, how did she do to get that ripple effect?!". I liked it so much, I could not say why, but it seemed to me that they added a sort of flowing impression... and then you went on to say that you tried to get those ripples out but you couldn't. Ironical how to me they seemed intentional and very well placed. Anyway, it looks great! And thank you for sharing with us those ideas for fully finished pieces. I've also liked the Alisia kits, I'm into miniatures lately, so at the end of the year when I hope I can afford to buy something else then the necessary stuff, I'll buy one myself. Happy stitching!
Thanks so much Mihaela. That makes me more accepting of my rippled linen if others maybe see it as part of the artwork. 😆 I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment to let me know that. Have you stitched any fun miniatures lately? I’m always looking for new ones. Thank you for stopping by for a visit. 😄
Just saw your video for the first time and enjoyed our time together. I think Olley is a greyhound? I have a fawn greyhound named Jorja and we have the same blanket combo all over the house. Great finishing ideas and I think I am going to do a wall hanging for my Christmas snow village which has been FO for a while but not FFO as I was concerned over framing costs.
Hi Cathy! 👋🏻 Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit. My sister used to have a grey hound that she adopted from a rescue organization. Ollie is actually a whippet, the grey hound’s smaller cousin. 😆 A wall hanging is definitely a more cost effective way to fully finish larger projects. That is why I decided to try it with Christmas Village. I can’t imagine what the cost would be to have something that size professionally framed. I do think I will splurge and have my big horse framed though. Thanks again for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. 😊 Take care and happy stitching!
First time viewer and I see I am late to the game! Loved everything but especially the snow wall hanging. I’d love to know the border frame widths. It is perfection. I took pictures. Loved your bunny.
Hi Debra! 👋🏻 Thanks for stopping by. Let’s see, for the wall hanging, I used a 1/2” border of dark brown next to the stitched piece then a 1 1/4” border of the barn red, a 1/4” border of creamy white next to that then a 1/2” of the self binding from the backing fabric. Hope that makes sense. Let me know if you need any close up photos or if you have any other questions. If you’re on Instagram, feel free to message me through there. If not, my email is in the description box for the video. Thanks again. Happy stitching! 😄
I want to start a full coverage on 25 count Lugana and not sure if I should do 1 over 1. I’ll be interested to see if you think the coverage is enough. Love your horse projects. They are just beautiful.
Hi Lois! 👋🏻 I did buy 20 count Aida and the 25 count Lugana to try. I did a test stitch using a dark floss over one on both and the coverage was definitely better on the Lugana. (In hind sight I should have probably gotten 22 count Aida so that it was a fair comparison.) So far the coverage seems good but I’ve only worked with lighter colours. I’ll keep you posted. 😉 Thank you so much for stopping by to visit with me. Take care and happy stitching.
Thanks Christine. 😊 I actually didn’t end up going to Stitch North this year. I cancelled my registration earlier in the year because I wanted to put those funds towards a new floss storage system. 😜 How was your weekend? Hope you had a great time. Thanks for watching. ❤️ Happy stitching.
@@christinecurrie7553 I have not talked about it in my videos. I keep forgetting to. 😆 It’s the Pip and Chip system. I LOVE it! I was thinking I should bring it up in a video and see if people would be interested to see the Pip and Chip system and hear my thoughts about it or even just see my floss storage system and how I’ve set it up for the way that I stitch??

У нас війна і я зовсім закинула вишивку,але ваше відео мене надихає!Дякую,роботи чудові!Всіх вам благ і творчого натхнення!!
My heart goes out to you. So glad I could provide a little bit of inspiration at a difficult time. Thank you for watching. Take care. Kris 😄

Thanks for watching. 😄
The Christmas Village looks wonderful. How was your weekend at Stitch North?
Thanks Christine. 😊 I actually didn’t end up going to Stitch North this year. I cancelled my registration earlier in the year because I wanted to put those funds towards a new floss storage system. 😜 How was your weekend? Hope you had a great time. Thanks for watching. ❤️ Happy stitching.
@@kraftnkris2999 A new floss storage system! Are you happy with it? Have you told us about it? We did have a great time at Stitch North.
@@kraftnkris2999 Yes please, Kris. I would be interested. I am not familiar with Pip and Chip. I would like to hear about it, especially since you are happy with the system.
Chris
@@christinecurrie7553 OK then. I will see if I can put something together! Thanks. 😊 Have a great weekend. Hope it’s a rainy one! 😮😉
