You just get used to it. It’s like living in a busy road or railway line. At first it’s all you can hear, but over time it just becomes background noise and before you know it you can’t sleep without it
In my cousin vinny, Vinny was disturbed by all sorts of rural noises, like the train, steam whistle, and hogs, but the prison ruckus was no problem because he was used to new York city.

Pretty Much what Texas in Prison is like. But also another thing is Texas has many prisons with their own set of rules so not every prison in Texas is the same. What I pretty sure do know of is that Texas is one of the most brutal prison holders in the country. So there you have it.

So they could have very much tried to get back at him through contacts on the outside and the old guy's relatives, assuming the youngsters were gang members.

I know this is such a bad comparison "oh the Army is just like prison," but this video gave me big army vibes.
It's not a bad comparison. They're both inhumane institutions that systematically work to mentally tear down the people that are a part of the system.

My question is: how accurate is hollywood’s portrayal of prison to actual prison? What do they get right, and what do they get wrong?
Another prison TikToker answered this but nobody would watch an accurate portrayal of prison cause it’s boring about 99% of the time

That would suck, I need peace and quiet to sleep.

Why did you get transferred so much? Is that common?
Common for people to get transferred based on housing needs and available programs that an inmate needs or wants to participate in.
