  • Been using the 65 Jaguar for some sessions and noticed the E string pop out was going to be an issue! Today we sort that out with less than 10 dollars for some small files!

How do you feel about shimming the neck? The few offsets that I own have had this problem alleviated with a good shimming. The increased neck angle means a higher bridge and therefore steeper string break angle, helping the strings to stay in place.
Multiple ways to clothe a cat, I guess (notice my sensitivity to your new pal)

Lol, Jameson keeps me moving. And yup! The Jag is wearing a factory shim as we speak. :)

Indeed. This Jag needs one, judging by the low height of the bridge.

@@breilly66 You can always add another. I cut a business card in half, top-to-bottom, and put it up by the body. Sometimes it takes both halves of the business card.

would it be worth to do this on threaded barrels too?

Could totally work on the threaded posts. Just gotta make sure the groove is at 90 degrees and isn't "leaning" with the threads. :)

You said it came to you in a box and then you say it was a basket case? Wouldn't that make it a box case instead of a basket case?

This is true! Didn't even get a basket with it either! I've been cheated!
