Don't forget the PCIE 4.0 cable in the price consideration 😉 those'll set you back 50-60 bucks, and the NR200P includes only 3.0 while the Max includes a 4.0. Which may or may not be important to users, but at least is the difference between having to get into the bios before using that cable and not having to IF you have only a PCIE 4.0 gpu.
The NR200P doesn't actually allow top mounted 280mm radiators so there are more things to consider than riser cables. If you install a GPU vertically your only option is to install the radiator at the bottom which is a big no-no for AIOs as that will reduce the life span of the pump and create noise. I think because of that most people who buy the NR200P will install the GPU horizontally at the bottom (better for airflow anyway) and the radiator will be mounted on the side with a grilled mesh (no acrylic window). I just wish the regular NR200P had the same design as the MAX because I don't like the gunmetal color.

Thanks for the extra insight of the fan additions and high wattage CPU with the big GPU as well. While not necessarily indicative of what everyone has it does show worst scenario for thermals which makes it a lot easier to know what to expect with this case.
12900k is a hot CPU. I loved mini ITX builds in the past, but nowadays with CPUs like this coming out its not very practical to cram them into a small case. I also have a 280mm AIO but it is the Arctic Liquid Freezer II. I get mid 80s for temps on Cinebench testing, which is great. 12900k you can also undervolt the CPU from around 0.020 - 0.050 volts, and that can drop temps additional 10-15C without sacrificing too much performance if any.
Well be honest with yourself. Do you really even need that processor if you’re only going to use it for gaming? Many thanks for the useful review, because of your video I opted for the 12700K which I think was the best decision to minimize the CPU heat while not compromising the performance. A 12900k will thermal throttle in the arctic circle with a 420mm AIO unless you enforce some power limits. I had to get a Thermalright contact frame and Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut just to keep it in the 80s under full load at 5400mhz in a case with 6 intake and 4 exhaust. I'm very interested in an SFF build. Looking at this case or the NZXT H1 V2. The upside to this one is a bigger AIO, but I think the H1 V2 looks better, and it also takes less desk space.
Yes I really would like to see more case reviews this year Nada! I found this review very insightful! I have a 10900k and a Zotac 3090 in my system right now, in the old NR200 however. It's honestly such a great case, mine stays very cool with the CPU @ 5ghz all core in the low 40s idle, and mid 80s under full load. GPU fully stressed gets to about 78-79 but the cooler on it isn't the best since it's not quite 3 slot. But still amazing, I don't really lose any top end performance.
Can you make a review for the new ROG Strix XG249CM monitor? It's with 23.8 inch IPS screen - better ppi than the ton's of 24.5 inch's monitors on the market and with 270 hz. Sounds the sweet spot in this class. :) Please Nada!
I have the original NR200 and my concern with this case is that you lose a lot of airflow options. As the max is configured it is always going to be pulling in hot air from the gpu to cool the cpu which is not going to have great thermals. The other is that on the original I have a 280mm aio on the side pulling in fresh air to cool the 5950x, I have 2 noctua slim fans under the horizontally mounted 3080ti pulling in fresh air and I also have 2 NF-a12x25s on the top to extract. So if you make sure the gpu can fit the fans under it, it will be the most optimal way of cooling everything high end in the case
You lose options, but I think that if it handles such an extreme worst case scenario it's just not something to really worry about. I doubt you'll be able to do a 250W+ i9-12900K with any configuration, save custom loops?
Did you use the stock 850w gold PSU that came with the case, or did you swap it out for something bigger? Im aksing because i have a planned 3090TI + i9-12900k build in this case, and was wondering if the stock 850w gold PSU would work just fine with such components.
Great video. I want to install 3 sata ssds is this case, is this possible? The clearance behind the gpu is what im concerned about with the psu 2.5 mount. Thanks!
I just bought this case for €269 and am struggling a bit to decide which CPU to get. initially wanted to go for i7-12700K but now thinking of i7-13700 (non K) thank you for the advice and testing of the i9, because I considered that too! Motherboard is ASUS ROG Strix B760-I GAMING WIFI with Corsair Vengeance CMK32GX5M2B6000C30 (DDR5 6000MHz) nice video Nada!
I ended up getting the 14700K, it throttles.. but I am doing a couple more mods this weekend (2 bottom slim fans + Thermalright CPU Contact Frame for LGA 1700) hopefully better.
I have been looking for a build for this case that has the MSI Suprim X for a while now because I have the 3070ti and I am not sure if it would fit this case. Now I know that it would fit, I am definitely going to change my case. Thank you for the video.
Where you able to find out whether the MSI Suprim X 4090 fits in the NR200P Max? I'm looking to build with those parts as well. I saw a build that fits the Gaming X Trio 4090 which has similar measurements to the Suprim X.
Awesome review as usual! What about the Aorus F132u review? When do you plan on releasing that? I can’t decide between that monitor and the Acer predator XB323QKNV until you have told me which is better 😀 thanks for all you do!
I have one for a few months. Now, I have a problem with the PSU and one fan of the watercooling. Finally, I would have prefered buy a NR200P and my own PSU and Watercooling because Cooler Master is only good at making cases, not other components.
I'd love to get this SSF case because of it's improved layout on the inside compared to its earlier iterations, but I wish there was a version that doesn't come with the AIO and PSU. Like many other people I'm sure, I already own these parts so to buy the NR200P Max with its pre-installed AIO and PSU isn't really feasible. Other than that though, the case looks so clean!
Did you use three pci-e cables for gpu? Or did you use two und connected with two outbound from psu cables gpu three inbound? Mine nr200p max has only provided two pci-e cables but my spahire nitro 7900xtx requires three!
I love the cooler master nr 200 cases. I already had an ATX b550 board laying around so I just went with the NZXT h510 flow. It's a nice case, but I prefer ITX
Can you change the orientation of the fans to be top intake and bottom exhaust? Blowing all that hot air from the GPU straight into the radiator doesn't seem very ideal...
Thanks for the review. Is the riser cable pcie4.0 or 3.0? I've searched in a lot of retailers here in Europe but I can't find this model listed anywhere :S

Thanks a lot for your Video. I will check out you other videos to see if it may help me build my first pc :)
clean and informative video, thx a lot. but pardon me, I have a few question... did the PSU included was a modular ones? I mean, I can swap the psu with mine, maybe sell it, and takes the convenient of prerouted and custom length PSU Cables.. did the aio cooler has shorter tubes that the regular one out there ? did the case temp equals VRM temps in the graph? how much the temp differ from using a tempered glass vs mesh side panels? thank you 🙏
PSU is modular, you could swap it if you want, AIO does have shorter tubes, and the case temp is a sensor between the CPU and the memory, not the VRMs (Those will be warmer). Temps are slightly better with the mesh side, but not enough to change the conclusion or recommend a 12900k without an undervolt.
expensive for just a pretty case that lacks of cooling. Using the PSU for cooling the case is not the best way but i'm sure for a low/mid range would do the job. But still Expensive.

Good review, straight to the point.
Thanks for this nice review
Did you use the stock 850w gold PSU that came with the case, or did you swap it out for something bigger?
Im aksing because i have a planned 3090TI + i9-12900k build in this case, and was wondering if the stock 850w gold PSU would work just fine with such components.
1:26 did Stephan kick the box again? 😜 When this vs Ryzen box?
Great video. I want to install 3 sata ssds is this case, is this possible? The clearance behind the gpu is what im concerned about with the psu 2.5 mount. Thanks!
It only has 2 mounts for SSDs
I just bought this case for €269 and am struggling a bit to decide which CPU to get. initially wanted to go for i7-12700K but now thinking of i7-13700 (non K) thank you for the advice and testing of the i9, because I considered that too! Motherboard is ASUS ROG Strix B760-I GAMING WIFI with Corsair Vengeance CMK32GX5M2B6000C30 (DDR5 6000MHz) nice video Nada!
Non-K will definitely be easier to cool
I ended up getting the 14700K, it throttles.. but I am doing a couple more mods this weekend (2 bottom slim fans + Thermalright CPU Contact Frame for LGA 1700) hopefully better.
Thanks
My pleasure, and thank you! ☺
Great case. I’m going to have to try one. (And I don’t care a whit about no Type 3 USB on the front. Who actually uses those regularly?)
nice content as always!
I can't wait to buy this once I have enough money! 🙂
Still waiting for it to be available in my crappy country , really want to get it but i can't find it anywhere in my country
Can I put my MSI Radeon RX 6750 XT GAMING X TRIO
12G in this cooler master case? Love this video👍
Oof, not for that price, yikes
thanks for the review, nice job 👍
cute and professional review :)
I have one for a few months. Now, I have a problem with the PSU and one fan of the watercooling. Finally, I would have prefered buy a NR200P and my own PSU and Watercooling because Cooler Master is only good at making cases, not other components.
What did their RMA department do or say? :)
@@TechTesters Hi, in my case, they only replaced the PSU :)
Please review the new TD300 Matx from cooler master. Thanks for the great content.
Thank you! No plans for the TD300 atm!
Please do a meshlicious next :)
Just get the NR200/NR200P? Max is only version with AIO/PSU/Riser etc
@@walter2651 it’s still slightly different, for example it only has a vertical gpu mount
Enjoyed the video. Any chance of reviewing some Antec cases? Been curious about them.
Hopefully later this year, I haven't had an antec case mself in a few years either :P
Did you use three pci-e cables for gpu? Or did you use two und connected with two outbound from psu cables gpu three inbound? Mine nr200p max has only provided two pci-e cables but my spahire nitro 7900xtx requires three!
you actually did it two monsters inside this small creature
4090 AIB calling...we are gonna need a bigger boat!
I love the cooler master nr 200 cases. I already had an ATX b550 board laying around so I just went with the NZXT h510 flow. It's a nice case, but I prefer ITX
Nothing wrong with an H510 Flow either right? :)
@@TechTesters it’s a good case. Just not itx lol
perfect size! I like it!
Such a nice case. I've been thinking of making a smaller pc but wow the price haha😅
could you add all the components from this build in the description please?
Can you change the orientation of the fans to be top intake and bottom exhaust? Blowing all that hot air from the GPU straight into the radiator doesn't seem very ideal...
Hi Nada, thanks for the posting. I have a 3090 ti suprim, do you think it will fit? According to MSI, 90ti is 2mm longer than the 90. Thank you.
SFF content, yes!
In Brazil this case its a fortune
I see... so i9 12900k = Super Hot Boi heater on a winter's night.
Thanks for the review. Is the riser cable pcie4.0 or 3.0?
I've searched in a lot of retailers here in Europe but I can't find this model listed anywhere :S
4.0 on this max indeed :)
Hi, is it 'still OK' to use the AIO which come with NR200P MAX to cool 13900K? (no overclock, no graphic card, 96GB DDR5, 2x NVMe M2,.. for music production)
I can’t decide between this or the MESHLICIOUS
So, what case did you end up choosing? If any.
I haven’t 🤦🏼
@@Captain-Chats Thanks for the honest answer haha
I did choose the NR200P Max and no regrets so far, though it's my first sff so I wouldn't know any better.
Can you please let us know what the CPU stress test was?
id just paint it i am an artist
Great case, but it’s still not available for purchase :( been wanting one since September
Perfect Review with everything i was looking for. I try to assemble my mini-gaming PC in Online-Shop with this Case. I was wondering about how a 3 slot GPU can be placed inside (in terms of specs - it should be no problem - i testet a PC Configurator with this Case and it wont let me put in a 3 slot graphicscard)
I'm just not sure about processor.
I looking at the Ryzen 7 5800x3D - but i'm overhealmed by all the different cpu's gpu's. It seems that the 3D cpu fits best for me - developing software and playing World of Warcraft. Thanks a lot for your Video. I will check out you other videos to see if it may help me build my first pc :)
Maybe wait a day or two before you buy a 5000 series Ryzen CPU.
Or a few hours ;)
Looks like my ssf! 😍
Its a good thing they put radiator on top which is not the case with NR200p or NR200.
Color is better too (this is for ladies) :D
I just finally got my hands on this case and a 3080ti. Any suggestions on should I go with an intel i7 12700k & DDR5 or AMD 5900X & DDR4?
Are the included fans silent when pc is just sitting idle or doing basic tasks in windows?
Definitely need more chunky!
Any recommendations on there to put more storage? The two points in the video are hard to install with my wires.
Hello, when will it be available for sale?
Cool review but it's Oct. 2022 and the case new is selling at $500 US on Amazon .
I've come to the conclusion that this version of the case is an awful value in the US market and shouldn't even be considered.
@@PurpleRupees That's usually the other way around, it's the first in a long time that I'm happy to buy my products in Europe!
Wish I could get hold of one. Stock in the UK is essentially nonexistent.
It's rough everywhere. I understand they sell out whatever they make pretty quickly.
likely would have bought this instead of a Lian Li q58 but this case is never in stock, price also I think increased.
clean and informative video, thx a lot. but pardon me, I have a few question...
did the PSU included was a modular ones?
@@TechTesters Thank You, deeply appreciated
expensive for just a pretty case that lacks of cooling. Using the PSU for cooling the case is not the best way but i'm sure for a low/mid range would do the job. But still Expensive.
I would want to put a 16tb HDD in there and probably would put it on the psu
