History, and the stories of your Elders are so very important - no matter where you are from! Thank you so much yet again, I would love to visit your Nation one of these days!
@@dandan9840 Exactly! I love listening to their stories of the past, when the land was green! Before the white man robbed them of their lands and still refuse to give it back!
I Lived in Arizona my whole life haven’t been up much North but knowing the correct history is very important to me and I thank you for sharing you’re people’s knowledge.
@@GabrielPalomino. Honestly, I love listening to their history! It's so informative and we think we are so clever but we are just ignorent of history in the "New World"....
Thank you, Wally. I especially enjoy when you knit together the lore and wisdom of the elders and holy people with the outdoor places. There is no beauty quite like the home of the Din'e.
I have always been interested in history. It wasn't until college that I had a wonderful professor who taught us a lot of unvarnished history and the plight of Native Americans and African slaves. It opened my eyes to a number of things, and hit home because my half brother was part Penobscot. Thank you Wally for sharing and keeping this knowledge alive.
I think we might be distant relatives! I’m Athabaskan from Fort Yukon Alaska and relocated to the Sedona area and love it here. Rich with so much history here
If you can give a tour of Canyon de Chelly, and maybe talk a little about the place. I have never been there, but I would like to see it at some time Especially where the peach trees used to grow.
What breathtaking scenery in the background. Nice land you have. I imagine that you had more in the past. I admire you sir? You are an asset to your people whether you know it or not. I congratulate your reading in your native language. Would love to visit your land, and be apart of your traditions and customs.
I was lucky enough to have visited that area and it reminded me of were Iam from. North west Australia. Places have a “feeling” to them. That place was old and unique energy. All indigenous peoples are under extinction due to the knowledge they hold. Alcohol as an example. Stolen children too. My respect and admiration 🙏. 👍🦘
Thank you for sharing and recording this history! I hope to visit some day. My son died in a small plane crash on the Navajo Nation, Peach Mountain (?) in 2014.
Wow that changed quick! His english is superb!! I. Just an english girl who has respect n much love and care for you. Thank you for translating sir xxx
Trippy , I was just at the cliffs yesterday and this morning. Just saw all of this area on the way back to Page all in the past few hours. Thank you for teaching.
Driven through and camped somewhere not far from vermillion cliffs, left no trace! Awe inspiring landscapes. Love learning about places especially those I’ve been even if just once briefly

Thank you Grandfather Wally and Shane..we need to learn the right history of our ancestors not the made up kind from someone else..We should all strive to learn as much as we can about this..
Respect, they tried to get people upset with you will own nothing and be happy. Happiness is fleeting ownership is an illusion, I would rather truth and contentment.
Outside of Independence, KS there is a series of cave dwellings around a place called Lover's Leap. I found morels there. It was close to food and water sources which made it ideal. Water even drips sometimes from the top. It's been spray painted by a bunch of kids I think.

The giant petrified tree stump in the background... ("mesa")
We’ve only been taught lies about everything.
Some people want to be entertained and some people are hungry for the truth
Learn the correct history: whether Navajo or otherwise, is so very important to avoid past mistakes and to progress well.

I have a question.. when I was going to school at Rough Rock Arizona they say Navajo Utah. Are Traders please let me know why
The portion of the Navajo land that's around the Aneth Utah and Bluff Utah areas. The Dine' who live in those places call themselves Utah Navajo. They have never given up the land.
The land was taken from the Dine' living in those areas because of the discovery of Oil.
Tuba city is near this place we stopped to see the dinosaur tracks
what other peoples were in that area? who was there when the Navajo arrived?
👍
What about the Hopi and Utes. Do you claim their lands and history?
In other videos he’s said that when the Navajo came there was already other people in the area.
