    Finally someone who actually does a good job with this vst, ive seen a bunch of "legit" music youtuber blast the velocities on this vst and the sound sucks. You really nailed how a real bass sounds when recorded using Djinn. 👍

    Djinnbass sounds like the business when it comes to MIDI bass. I looked at it for a while before I caved and bought a real bass which I use with the Parallax plugin. I listened to your Meshuggah vid... were you using the stock Logic midi bass for that recording? I used to use Logic's Picked Bass midi instrument and found it to be fairly passable in the mix, despite sounding weird solo'd (exactly like you said).

      Yep, I was using Logic’s built in midi bass. If I recall correctly it was the picked bass. Since finding DjinnBass, however, I’ll never go back. It’s incredible.

    I'll comment again to ask smth. So I'm thinking of buying Djinn but I'm also torn between getting the eurobass2., Idk if you've had the chance to try eurobass 2, but ill ask anyways, What do you think would be best to produce a range of styles, mostly rock and metal, djent, prog, etc. I've seen eurobass videos and it sounds "fuller" and it might be possible to get the djinnbass tone with a saturator on the eurobass 2, but since you have the Djinnbass, do you think it would be easy or even possible to get the Djinn bass to sound like eurobass 2 (fuller sound) as well? Thanks for taking the time to reply to the comment in advance !

      Hey! I don't have experience with Eurobass so I can't really speak to how it sounds as compared to Djinnbass. That being said, if I was to speculate, I'd likely prefer Djinnbass simply because of the Dingwall bass. Those are some of the thickest, fullest, and punchiest basses I've ever heard and sit really well with the music I tend to write/play. Hope that helps.

    I have an issue that whatever articulation I choose last, it affects the entire bassline :/ any way around that? Thanks for the awesome video!

      Yeah that’s how the articulations work. Whatever the last one used is, will be what’s used going forward. All you need to do is reset the articulation back to what you want after the section where you change it. So if you use the palm mute articulation for a bar, on the first beat of the next bar change it back to whatever you want it to be.

    i have this issue that whenever i put a keyswitches for the specific note, it won't get triggered. have you ever stumbled an issue like that? i'm using reaper :)

      Bro, i found the solution you need to make sure that the articulation changes happen a bit before the beat, and you can use your articulations now!

      @@Andrew.mp3 bro! Ur right about that i tried it the other day, just before the note hits, it works, , thanks though really appreciate it! You did that too?

    so how did you get the midi bass track? was it a live bass audio track turned to a midi track?

    • @JeremyFoxMusic
      @JeremyFoxMusic  7 месяцев назад +1

      I programmed the midi notes using the Logic midi editor.

    Does this pluggin have Slapping or Plucking articulations? I feel that would be one of the things that Loki Bass 2 has over this.

    • @JeremyFoxMusic
      @JeremyFoxMusic  2 года назад

      It does not. I believe there might be additional articulations, such as slapping and plucking, in their newest bass plugin, Grove Bass. I haven’t tried that one myself yet though so I can’t confirm.
