@@awu3gg everyone joked about how in the new trilogy the First Order is just the Empire, in order to recreate the same setting we had in the OT (just like Rebels=Resistance). I used that context to make a joke about how Holly is kinda "not wrong" if we apply the same thought people used to criticize the new trilogy and some of it's desperate moves to mimic the OT.
Yeah, I never planned on getting this. Ever since the price increases I haven't gotten or planned on getting much of anything, though Obi-Wan's starfighter, the Sanctum, and The Office have all been kinda tempting.
This was the first summer set that I got… mainly because it was the only summer set that was at my local Walmart when I went and I wanted to get a summer set as soon as possible
i bought it too lol, because i ended up with some extra cash, but the figures were dope might be a cool base for a small moc if you add some things yourself
Fortunately I got this set for $63 at Big W, it’s still super expensive for what it is. But I’m glad I got it because it’s the cheapest way to get a LEGO Darth Vader with arm printing, although I put the old helmet on him because I prefer the classic helmet. I also switched obi wan’s hair piece with the Geonosis hair piece.
that's how they get you. I feel like if they were allowed to release figures on their own like Hasbro, Lego could just make packs of 5 minifigs and sell them for $350 and everyone would still buy them.
I do like the figures, so I may buy it if I ever find it on sale or clearance. It will be interesting to see how overall sales of this set will be and how soon it will retire.
in fairness, the setting of the fight isn't particularly that interesting, a new hope version would be better imo. also I don't like how vader doesn't have yellow Sith eyes
2:42 ok something that I just noticed about the Anakin head is that there is a slight difference compared to the head in the Darth Vader Transformation set from 2017
I understand people not loving this set but at the end of the day it is what it is and it is fairly accurate to the scene. I don’t fully understand the hate that this set is getting. It may not be very visually appealing but it is accurate and has some cool minifigures and small builds to give you some fun play features.
They get more hits trying to make it controversial . simples :) . In truth i really like it but i don't know why lol. M@Rproductions liked it as well when he reviewed it.
look at the size of that box!!!! i guess a lot of the pieces go into the base, silly. I hope they come out with the second battle, this one is silly, could be Disney's issue with not telling Lego and/or changing things and putting the epic second dual in when maybe they didn't plan to originally...
This should have been $30. The last duel could have done with this baseplate and a dark tall rock beams simliar to the the falling trees in the duel on starkiller base set. I'm not sure there was a good way to recreate Obi-Wan throwing the rocks and getting out of the ground and rock pile
This set is definitely at least $10 overpriced, however, I will say that from what I can tell from reviews, the set looks larger than LEGO’s official pictures. It’s certainly kinda bland and plain, and should’ve cost about $35-$40, but I do think it’s better than most people are giving it credit. It certainly should’ve been the final fight though. Not sure why they chose this one.
I don't think the price is the problem, I think that giving people a bland "ground" build without much to offer is the big hit. If you're making us build ground then it needs to be interesting like the duel sets. Just a gray ground build is sad. Also in my opinion they could've really used more fire pieces in the set because now it just looks like Vader is afraid of some small flames that don't even reach his whole leg.
@@truebluetom2 We could’ve gotten the right outfit for Obi Wan, we could’ve gotten cracked helmet Vader. Yeah, we get two extra figures in this set, but we also get a super high price point for a set that could’ve/should’ve been $20
They shouldnt have made a duel from kenobi. Both of those 2 duels in the tv show have nothing much to offer. Second duel only has like rocks... first is just a baseplate with minifigs
When I first found out about this set, I wasn't impressed. But now having watched Holly's review, and seeing how good the Minifigures are, honestly once it's on sale, it'll be worth it just for the Minifigures alone. And actually the set's really growing on me after watching Ryan's review as well. Also, because I had no expectations for this set, and now I'm kind of excited about it, and I had huge expectations for the AT-TE, and ended up being disappointed with that one, I now find myself in the very weird and unique position of being more excited for this set than the AT-TE! 😄 This is not something I expected to happen! 😅
unpopular opinion: it's really not that bad. the minifigs are great and it has good play features. though when it comes to display, price and design... it's bad.
If I'm totally being honest, your version of the set is way better, especially if you think about the fact that you can get basically the same for a completly different and lower price!! This set isn't too bad, just way to expensive and unintersting. Aaaaand why is it grey??!!
Chill out everyone, Holly's still a bit of a noob to SW but she's doing really i recon.. and anyway by this scene Tala is technically a rebel so she's actually neither.. 😉
This set perfectly represents the original material. The Obi Wan TV series is one of the worst products that came out from Disney Star Wars, and so the set matches perfectly.
Good on you for buying this piece of crap set so that you could advise us first-hand that it's a piece of crap. That's NOT meant to be sarcastic. I genuinely respect you for doing this, because, like you say, you can only be 100% sure by actually purchasing it.
I really don't care all I want is a cheap Lego Vader and Obi Wan Kenobi set and here it is and if you don't like we know everyone and there moms don't like it
one of the worst Star Wars sets ever. Even the piece count is sort of dishonest because there's like 50 1x1 trans-orange cheese slopes. Will skip it like most newcanon material. Wake me up when Lego makes a battle pack with classic alien species
Yeah, no, this is still garbage and I'm still skipping it. And considering I've found the Obi-Wan series also garbage, I'm unlikely to now even bother with getting just the robot minifigure on BrickLink.
Everybody gangsta until Holly calls an Imperial Officer a First Order Officer
The Empire and the First Order are the same thing, just as JJ Abrams idealized. Holly is being more accurate than the RUclips Police. :p

A must buy for me
This must be the World's most evpensive (day 1) minifigure/parts pack.
Been loving the videos lately Holly :) Keep it up :)
A cool upgrade would be adding technic underneath to let you spin the figures from the side instead of the turn table feature.

If they’re going to make it look like that then they should’ve made it a 4+ Set
Its probably a bit to complicated for four year olds.
The set does look very underwhelming, especially for a $50 (US) price. The Darth Vader minifigure looks really cool though.
in fairness, the setting of the fight isn't particularly that interesting, a new hope version would be better imo. also I don't like how vader doesn't have yellow Sith eyes
Does it call just come down to the Ned mold?
From a company that brought us UCS Millennium Falcon to this? Lego sure has fallen from grace!
I don't mean to come off as rude or anything but you accidentally said first order officer instead of Imperial officer for tala
Wow that’s extremely rude how could you
2:42 ok something that I just noticed about the Anakin head is that there is a slight difference compared to the head in the Darth Vader Transformation set from 2017
Yeah, darker skin tone, different smirk. More scars
I want hundreds of these bases and use them for train track bases.....until the train falls into a pit of lava!

Indeed it's not a very exiting set, however the mini figures are the highlight!
The humour in this video was savage😂
I don’t plan to get this set unless it’s discounted💸
This is definitely one of the lego sets of all time
Lol, what?
I added more fire and 2 storm troopers and it brilliant try that
I feel like this set will triple in value in 5 years
That or it’ll grow basically nothing in value. I don’t think there is any in between with this set lol
I still believe this can be rebuilt into the duel from Ep6.
How?
@@apluto12-z3e Don’t you know about alternate builds? It’s when you take an existing lego set and make something new out of it.

You can easily make it better though. You get plenty of those lava bits with other sets

The price is ridiculous
Ned-b is just too small!
If I was into SW minifigs, I'd buy them from BrickLink or elsewhere rather than waste money on a glorified grey baseplate.
The only reason I might buy this set is for the figs, the build is just Disappointing
