- A bit of a long video just running through the options available on the 2018 BMW M140i iDrive system, this could be relevant to other BMW models with the same year/version iDrive system.
Unfortunately I was not able to demonstrate all features due to not having certain options, not being in motion and also not having signed up to some features.

just bought myself an F20 and I love it. but how the hell do you turn off the navigation sound? I can only turn it down like 30% but not all the way...?

Can you pre heat heated seats and turn the heating on via your phone before you get in the car

Hi could you please Review about the folding mirror. On the same model 2018 S1 116D
If, like me, you have your albums and playlists in windows folders, get yourself a programme that you create an M3u/playlist cue file and stick one in each folder. You can then search 'playlists' and will show up as folders. That`s on my 2017 idrive 6.
Is there an option to set where you can see a digital view of the speed you are going at ? On a 2018 bmw 1 series ?
ajanthan jeyakumar yes mate it is just part of the board computer, if you scroll through the mpg etc, one option is the speed. It will be small to start with but when you leave it, it fills up more of the digital screen 👍🏻
Hi, good Job, really informative. I got a question. Me and my girlfriend are driving Audi currently, but ordered an BMW which will ne delivered in February. So, she uses to listen to music AT a high volume and when I drive then (we share one key) the music starts at the latest position, giving me a heartattack. You cant choose a start up volume at Audi. It always starts in latest position. Im missing that opportunity on your video, so is it the same at BMW or can I change it to start with a decent volume at Start? Apreciate it. Greeting from the home of BMW.
Hi Gerrit, thanks for the question. It is not an option I have come across, however if you use the two keys and have one each the key should remember your settings from when you last drove. I have never tested the volume on the radio but I would think that setting would save too.

If you have a OBD dongle and an aftermarket app like Bimmercode, there is an option to put a '%of max volume at startup". So if you put say 40%, whenever you start the car, the volume is capped at 40% or lower (if it was switched off when volume was lower)
Excellent video. I take delivery of an X3 next week so it as been good to see some info on the settings. Just one question how do you turn the interior alarm sensors off, I thought it would of been in the settings somewhere?

Thanks Pete, enjoy it! I think it is just a case when you lock the car, press the lock button twice and this should disable it. I will caveat I haven’t actually tried this and it’s something I heard from elsewhere but hopefully this helps!

Wonder if you could answer a question, I'm buying an m140i and want one with adaptive suspension. Is it possible to have adaptive suspension without the suspension button on the centre console behind the mode button?
Loads of adverts list them for sale with adaptive suspension even though they don't have that suspension button.
My latest one has adaptive suspension and I have no suspension button. It just changes with the driving mode.
Hello, just wondering if you can change the speedometer from MPH to KM/H?
The speedometer is analogue and shows both on the dials.
