Because of obvious similarities every pontiac video you do will get a "view" and "like" from me. So thank you and keep it up
The main difference in Gt and Gtp. The Gtp was made with a performance engine for slightly more hp and w-body, and gt is more of a stock built engine with a smaller body. Other than that it's mainly the body dynamics and engine build differences
I drilled a 3-4 inch hole on the side of the stock OEM air box (in the area before the air hits the filter) and removed the fender cover/insert in that area to get more airflow. To clarify, the earlier GP’s (I believe the 97-99, I may be wrong on the exact years) draw air from the fender vs the 00-03 draw air from behind the headlight. The cover/insert that I’m referring to is the one that was installed on the 00-03 to “plug” the opening from the fender air intake area.
Pretty sure the previous owner did most of these for my comp g. It's surprisingly quick, not great on gas but will stop most fast cars from tailgating me when I get on it.
@@MonteCarloGuru yes its they're high flow cat assembly from the exhaust manifold down to the first exhaust joint past the cat. The OEM has a P curve where the downstream O2 sensor. With this aftermarket it eliminates the bend, but puts the O2 sensor to the side. Helps in exhaust flow.

@@SalemDoyle I called and spoke with a rep from ZZ Performance, his preference was to avoid 2003 and 2005. Why? I didn't get the details. Any more thoughts on those two years? Does it really matter? Thanks for your input.
Depending on your preference of coupe of sedan, I'd recommend a sedan solely for family/friends purposes as both are great. There have been a good handful of times I've had to 'rescue' my brothers and their posse from the side of the road. But I would try to find at least a year 2000 or later if you live in a rust belt area as they seem to have the special coating in the fender wells to help prevent strut tower rust! And the have the relocated coolant overflow and newer air box design (both actually started in '99). 2 doors are nice but I always despise replacing door hinges because of the door weight lol.
So the power wire upgrade is kinda like a part of a big three upgrade that people that like bigger amps for audio systems do right? They also like doing the bigger grounds which all of these help with voltage drops right?
I don't recommend the shorter torque strut mounts on daily driven cars. They help big time at the track or if your doing digs in Mexico (extra weight on front wheels). Or if your lowered, they either lessen or eliminate axle wabble. Outside of that they make the handling of the car bad. Front poggos on bumps and dives on braking. Rear gets soft and lifts. I've put these short torque strut mounts on 3 different Grand Prix's. All 3 experienced the same problems. Some more than others because of other suspension components (new/warm, factory/stock replacement/stiff performance)
Hey was that wire going from the alternator to the fuse box was at from the positive post on alternator to the jump post before the fuse box I'm sure that it is because you know you're running DC electricity from one point to another but I'm just making I guess it's redundant question but it never hurts to make damn sure I know that it's got to be if it's going to the jump post it's got to be positive but the truth of the matter is I just broke my glasses today and I couldn't quite see.
