I just bought it last month Canon R, it looks like new and I'm impressed. I used to use the 6d. Now I have ordered the RF 85mm f2 lens, I think it will be worth it

      That’s a great setup, I love my 85 f/2.0!

      Are you keeping the 6D?

@@sebastiennarcisse6571 Yes, for now I have both, because the 6d is not bad, especially since I am the first owner and it is not worth much anymore.

I think it’s an amazing camera to start off with as an EOS R owner, I highly recommend this camera it’s just enough technology in this camera to get you started and easy to learn.

I own an EOS R. I like it, and actually am a bit fond of it, and at the same time, frustrated with what it could have been, if Canon had just spent a little more time with it, prior to release. Canon and Nikon both rushed their Full frame Mirrorless to market, feeling pressured by Sony and the Market share it had.
I liken the EOS R to the very first EOS Film cameras that Canon brought out, for the EF mount. They were different, a little ahead of their time, but just lacked some of the things more serious and dedicated Photographers needed.
I videotaped my Daughter’s Graduation with my R and adapted 70-200 F/4 IS II lens, in 4K, and got great results, albeit having to deal with the crazy crop factor. It was outdoors in the Football Stadium. It gave great results, considering I STINK at videography! 😆
The EVF and rear screen are perfectly fine, even by todays standards, but I still prefer the output and high ISO performance of my ‘Tank’ 5D4. Some claim the sensors are the same, but I beg to differ. I’ve taken Wedding shots at 12800 on the 5D4, but wouldn’t dare to on the ‘R.’ There is a difference. Of course, YMMV. Good stuff here! 👍 Stay safe and Happy Shooting.

I appreciate it sir! I love the R it’s got its weak spots but still one of my favorite cameras that I’ve used.

The biggest drawback to the EOS R and all other RF mount Canon cameras is Canon’s stance on 3rd party support. Everyday I consider selling all my canon stuff and switching to Sony. If not for that, I love my R and R6.

I agree 100 percent I love the RF mount and the glass is amazing but very pricey. Idk what canon won’t allow third party manufacturers to produce RF glass like sigma or tamron. If they did that I bet they could keep some of these canon users from leaving and jumping over to Sony. I just don’t get their train of thought on it.

@@LeeOFrey it’s foolish, greedy, and hard headed. I’m sure they know that’s the general vibe. Even now, when friends who are interested in getting into photography, I legit tell them to look at Sony or Fuji. It’s just not worth it to get into the canon system, unless you’re already in or have the money for the expensive RF L stuff. Last person I gave advice to bought the Fuji XT30 and it’s so happy with his choice.

@@MindYaBizz_Whiz Canon and their Business Model are not going to lose Money, if they can help it. One of my Pet Peeves, and shared by many notable RUclipsrs; I’m thinking Dustin Abbott here, is the non inclusion of lens hoods, and even a cheap bag/pouch, on their non ‘L’ Lenses! Sure they want to keep Third Party lens makers away from the RF mount. Sadly, I think they will regret it.
Like many things/ Businesses in this Era we all live in, Canon has changed. Just call up their Technical / Sales support number. Yes, at least it is still USA based support, but it is NOT the same. Of course getting a real person on the phone, is becoming harder and harder these days. Stay safe and Happy Shooting

Eos r with metabones speed booster and good ef lenses and ninja v is comparable to a c200 raw just less dynamic range I have both fer sure the raw is better but it’s the closest match (IN 4k) lol best part is you can use the sigma 18-35mm on 4k and speed booster with pretty much no vignetting cause of the crop and best part it takes amazing pictures better then r6 and just under the r5
