Just wanted to say. If it wasn't for your video's around KZN I wouldn't have done the two things I did last week. I stay in Joburg and went down to La Lucia as I do every year. I just became a NZ citizen this year and hate to be negative but have no idea why anyone would want to move here. This country used to be amazing. The cost of living is ridiculous, lack of housing is at crisis levels, medical system is imploding, our government needs to go…. I hope you have a great experience but unless you are independently wealthy you are coming to struggle street.

The land of one J. Ardern? Gimme Jacob Zuma anyday! 😂😂 Seriously, my heartiest good wishes. You are a lovely couple. Made the same mistake when we moved to the UK, we ended up chucking most of the stuff we brought, when we realised just how (relatively - I was already earning USD & GBP when we moved) cheap stuff is overseas. Always use the Big Mac standard when working out relative earnings / price of goods. Forget about exchange rates.

Strange as it may seem I have friends in NZ who have been there for more 30 years, who lived in Canada for 10 years but decided it wasn't a good place to raise children. They eventually emigrated to NZ and set up home. Doing exceptionally well him being a plumber doing his own business and her not working, except playing for concerts with her harp. Own property, BnBs .I visited her 15 years ago met some South Africans who said if it wasn't for my friend life for them weren't that easy. They were painted with the people who allowed apartheid and the injustices inflicted on non white and people of other races. My friend and hubby has helped many families and abandoned children in NZ. They returned lots of time to see family and friends in S A.

Id suggest Alberta then down to Idaho. There has been a mass move of many Canadians for several very good reasons. Many Americans have relocated to different states like idaho for freedom issues.

Welcome to Whangarei. I hope it works out well for you. My only tip is to do your big shopping at Pak 'n Save. You will save hundreds or thousands of dollars a year. Eek, exciting time for you!
Haha, glad we made it look easy, didn’t feel like it though 😂
We are moving to Canada and this makes me think I need to start selling everything now. Thank you for sharing your journey. It makes it easier for the rest of us.
Don’t go to Canada
Unless you plan to move to the USA
@@samalash9518 We are moving to Vancouver next year.
Id suggest Alberta then down to Idaho. There has been a mass move of many Canadians for several very good reasons. Many Americans have relocated to different states like idaho for freedom issues.
Kia Ora n welcome to Aotearoa 🤙
You’ve reminded me how excited I was when I moved from New York to London!
Oh wow, from one awesome city to another 😅
Hi there! Can you please recommend legit agencies to use for immigration to New Zealand please ? 👌🙏🤗
Kia ora guys...hope you are happy in NZ and your family follows soon.😎💕🇳🇿
Really enjoyed the vid and it is so informative. Having the courage to move to another country is so inspiring and enlightening. Best of luck and cannot wait for updates.
Thanks so much Irfaan!
People I know who emigrated to NZ only have good things to say. Some do not lock their doors at night! I can't wait to move too. Emigrating to Turkey soon.
Great informative video. That budget list you guys made, do you have it shared somewhere to assist others also planning to follow your steps? 😁
The Warehouse is also cost effective for some bits and pieces for the house.
Ooh, thanks for that, we’ll have to go check it out 🙏
Here from Thailand again, hallo you2, thanks for that video, wow, how enjoyable that was. Chantz bubbling again, that is the way to go girl. Dump the old stuff & start a fresh, be decision by far, I did the same. The old stuff had their days anyway. Fresh beginning with a fresh start. Yes. it does cost a bit, but just think nothing is going to brake in the near future. Just love it, excited for you guys, enjoy. Keep the videos coming. Greeting from Thailand, the "Land of Smiles:.
Hi Llewellyn, we really enjoy your comments every week 😁🙏
Hope all is good in Thailand!
Yeah, so much better to start afresh 😊
@@BeingBedingfield Thanks you 2, always enjoying your company even if it is kilometers away. Your videos always remind me of friends I had, past tense, now I have youzzzzzzzzzzzz, wonderful. Keep the enjoyment coming. Love it to bits. Greetings from Thailand.
Heeey, you guys were in North Beach road? We lived in westbrook beach club until recently. Moved down to king shaka estate almost 3 months ago. The whale season this year has been absolutely spectacular. Almost every day for more than 2 months we see whales having an absolute jol. And Super close to the backline.
Heck even this morning I saw one just by beach bums right at the backline. It was the size of a bus!
Noooo Robert…you’re making us jealous 🥺 we saw lots of whales during our first year in Westbrook, but not really in the last few years 😭 so glad they’re back in full force, there’s nothing quite like seeing them from home 😊
And we miss Beach Bums 😢😅
Haha in NZ you call the geyser a hot water cylinder, geyser got a whole different meaning,. Welcome to NZ. In NZ for 13 years and brings back a lot of memories.
🙈😅
We did the 1 bag and 1 handle luggage bag each move to NZ as well! Such a weird relief knowing that is it 😆 but yes the clutter like where does all the stuff come from!!
Going over to SA for my third holiday wth my SA hubby soon. Cant wait. So many SA here so you will feel right at home. X
That’s awesome, where in SA will you be going? Yeah, we’ve met loads of saffas 😅
@@BeingBedingfield joberg, Pretoria and durban. Also going on game drive. Loved your vids of durban.
@@tracemaree7071 ooh, sounds amazing 🤗you must be so excited! Hope our Durban videos helps a bit ☺️
I moved from Cape Town to Northern Ireland, two years ago. I am so relate...
Your sofa looks welcoming. You chose a great neutral colour. Very tasteful.
Hi Bedingfield family. Please advise when you converted your drivers license to a New Zealand license, did you have to do a theory and practicle test?
Hi 👋 If you’ve had your driver’s license for more than 2 years I think, you don’t have to do any tests. Except for an eye test. Was very simple to convert, and now it’s valid for 10 years.
Packing sucks 😂 especially when moving countries! Looks like you guys took it in your stride though, well done.
Packing is the worst! Even if it’s packing for a holiday 😅
We welcome to Whangarei big fan
Thanks Joshua! 😊
Welcome to Whangarei. I hope it works out well for you. My only tip is to do your big shopping at Pak 'n Save. You will save hundreds or thousands of dollars a year. Countdown is more expensive, New World even worse. You are more likely to get a bigger range at the more expensive supermarkets but a packet of Persil is a packet of Persil.
Thanks Peter, great advice 👍 yes, we’ve done a nice grocery shop at Pak n Save 😊
Wow this is beautiful and very inspirational, How long did it take to get all paperwork done (Visa etc), and did you go via an agents etc
Thanks so much. It was about 6 months from the interview, to us being in NZ
Not Harvey Norman 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ my poor innocent little springboks, everything is overpriced there please shun that blasphemous store,
by the way when you're settled we do Q&A yes 😅
😂😂 oh well, too late now 🙈
We’re definitely planning a Q&A, will probably be a livestream, so get your questions ready 😁
Welcome to New Zealand
Thanks Verdell 😊
Hi there how were you guys driving already? The bakkie was it a rental?
