I’ve traveled w my large Le Pliage quite a few times and I really like it. It’s light, comes in a lot of colors, folds up if I need to switch up traveling to and from my destination, it’s water resistant and holds so much. The nordstrom exclusive expandable version is a great idea if you want more room coming home and you need that extra space. I use multiple pouches when I use my LP and I find that helps w organization. I find I prefer the large to the expandable LP because it looks better, imo.
This isn't a travel bag; it is a very functional tote cum expandable shopping / grocery bag. Travel bags have lots of pockets and hands free options. Buy purpose built, not designer labels. Kipling do a nice range of lightweight travel bags that last for ages. They are also cheaper.
This was a very well thought out video. I appreciate how you gave us so much detail, did comparisons, gave us the pros and cons and why you didn't like the bag. Thank you!
I bought my first Le Pliage tote the one you are reviewing 8 years ago it was made in France i bought another one because i loved it so much on the Nordstrom anniversary sale and now they are made in china I returned the tote it feels different the leather everything is off. What a shame time for me to look for another travel tote
The hand held version of this does come with a crossbody/shoulder strap. The version you have already can be shoulder carried but I think it has now been discontinued in favour of the other version. The lack of trolley sleeve really is an oversight. I have an excellent Samsonite expandable one (with trolley sleeve!) which I use for plane travel but this one is a nice addition on car trips. Me and my husband tend to have our own weekender bag but throw the extras into this… it’s a good ‘as well as’ bag rather than the star of the show.
Yes, I agree about the trolley sleeve-it is marketed as a travel bag it should have a sleeve….I have the small one and I do love it, but even with the small one I am missing that sleeve-it would be so simple for them to add this. I also dislike that it doesn’t have any pockets, except for the tiny one inside….I do love how much it holds and the fact that it’s so light weight. I wish they’d fix these few things.

Those are all definitely positives!

And they have trolley sleeves! Totally agree with everything you said!

AGREE 100% on the trolley sleeve point!
Right?! You can find bag belts these days but it just makes it more functional!

Exactly! Thanks for commenting.
The Longchamp is really wonderful! It fits a lot, and you can somehow add more. The LC is waterproof 🎉 and very lightweight. Perfect!❤

Yes we’ve seen that version and may try it. Trolley sleeves are a great thing! Thanks for your comment!

Thank you for your comments. Just like you said, it shouldn’t be hard to fix these issues. Glad you watched this video! ❤️
Thanks for the review, I had one in my cart and thought I should watch a review first. In Canada the bag is $350 for any colour!
Wow! Glad it was helpful to you!
Really good review! Thanks for the info ❤
finally my dream has come true… but then the Mary Poppins bag really exists😮❤😮😮
Thanks for the review. Sounded great until you got to the cons. I would have the same concerns.
I personally wouldn’t use it. Thanks for the watch!
great review!
Thanks for watching!
I think they will repair it if it gets damaged. At least that is what I heard from other RUclipsrs
Yes but they will likely charge you unless it is a manufacturer’s defect. Thanks for watching!
Now it has straps!
It is a versatile bag and probably more so with straps! Thanks for watching and commenting!
It's weird. The screen is green.
