This one touched my heart because I went to Paris and bought my mother a Longchamp bag for her 57th birthday. Two years later she shockingly was dead from cancer. My father gave me the bag she was so proud of. I have the bag and it always makes me feel close to her. It’s nice to know it’s not only high in sentimental value but also well made.
I was on vacation and my Le Pliage backpack lost a button. I stopped in at this very same Flagship store and they repaired it for me on the spot and at no charge. I carry all luxury brand name bags but this store with its great c.s. will always have a place in my heart.
That's wonderful to hear! It's truly special when a brand goes above and beyond with exceptional customer service. It's experiences like this that create lasting connections.
I had tiny holes in the bottom corners of my Pliage, which is now 20 years old, and they sent it back to France to repair them, also for free. And when the strap split on a leather crossbody, they said it was a known issue so they sent to back to France and replaced the strap with an entirely new leather strap made differently to address the issue - on a five years old bag - also for free. Customer for life.
Wow! My friend used her LV leather bracelet twice and it broke. The store in Netherlands refused to repair at no extra cost although it was almost new. They asked to pay half of the price to replace a clasp. 😢
I’ve been carrying my leather Longchamp bag for 7 years and it’s still in great shape. What amazes me is that people allow themselves to basically be insulted in luxury brand stores.

Longchamp does so much more than other brands which deserve to be mentioned. They repair 60K Le Pliage bags each year, for free(!), and have take additional sustainability measures using recycled & recyclable nylon. My purchasing experiences here in the U.S. have been excellent, not salesy at all. I am a longtime, Longchamp fan.
They haven’t gotten greedy with exorbitant mark up. I respect keeping everything in France and family owned. I want to buy a bag now. Thank you for this great review

I have had several Longchamp bags, both Le Pliage and their leather bags. One bag I used til dumpster, some I have given away, I still have a few. Longchamp is a brand where quality and price meet. Tanner, thank you very much for your videos. I appreciate the information you provide. It is like getting very good advice for the stockmarket, knowing where to invest. I wish you a mice werkend! 🐩👜
Thank you, Tenner, you give me more confidence to buy this brand , when I am in the department store it's a little confusing to see next to very expensive bags the very reasonably priced product. Thank you again

Neat review! I've had a Le Pliage bag for over 15 years and another for just over 10. I also have a patent leather Le Pliage around 10-15 years old, and it is in perfect condition. Both of my nylon Le Pliage bags are in fantastic condition! The company fixed the corners on both bags for free, and they are now just like new. For the people in the comments who have said that they used their bags in university and that they only lasted for 2.5 years...it's likely that they just don't take care of their things, which is on them, not on the company. I've used mine in inclement weather and have travelled with them.
Bought a small canvas pliage in Paris for around £100 and have used nearly everyday since for home and work- through seasons and weather (probably 8 years). Handles still look ok and just started developing some small holes around the base- but still looks smart and classic and I don’t baby the bag at all. Bought an identical replacement and have it ready to go when the original finally wears out. For me it’s a forever classic everyday bag- high quality at a very affordable price. It can even go in the washing machine if needed 😂
Thanks for doing this. One thing to note -their bags are also extremely light. I don't know what tech or design process they use, but somehow their leather bags are super light, and so ideal for day to day use, and somehow still hold up great long term. So it's a great choice for luxury item you can actually use all the time -looks great, no need to baby it, and it's not going to kill your shoulder to carry it (unlike most other luxury brands). Mine get used constantly.
I have my Longchamp LePliage in Large and long handles. Serves me well. She’s 10yo but still in great condition. Traveled with it every single time. I bought a small version with the DIY conversion kit. I bring it for times where I only need to bring essentials. I leave the large in the car and take the pouch with me. Looks amazing
I do this too! And it works wonders! ❤ Love my Longchamp collection. I started with the pouch with handle and converted it into a sling to try out the brand first and I've been addicted with Longchamp since. Now my collection is growing because I just love the quality so much!
I love the Le Pliage totes. They’re almost bulletproof! I’ve had one for over 10 years and it still looks great. I wash it with baby shampoo and it comes perfectly clean every time. I’m glad to know the quality of the leather bags is there and that makes me want to look into those too!
@@steph-xy4lk I fill my kitchen sink with baby shampoo and water like I would wash dishes and let it sit for at least an hour. Then I dunk it completely for about five minutes, lightly scrub any remaining stains with a magic eraser and spray it off with the faucet sprayer. Then I hang it to dry. I’ve also used Method All-Purpose cleaner and Dawn dish soap. The reason I dunk it completely for a few minutes is to prevent water marks. It’s never damaged the leather on my bags.
I invested in this Longchamp bag for myself as a new buyer of leather goods based on your review! Coincidentally got this line in orange and I love the craftsmanship
I was curious about this brand and glad to see you review it. I'm also glad to see you are including some comparison information on the in-store experience, as I think that is part of the "value proposition" that luxury brands are trying to sell (whether you accept/believe it is worth the price or not is another story). I would also love to see more discussion about the level of warranty/upkeep/after-purchase support offered by luxury brands vs. mass market brands, as, again, I think this area is where many luxury brands are trying to offer something different than mass market brands. In any event, I greatly enjoy your channel and your unique and expert perspective on leather quality and construction in your discussions. I am leather-tained!
You might see here in other comments - including mine - Longchamp IMO is giving better post sale support than many so called luxury brands. They will even repair little holes than can develop over time at the corners of the Pliage if you use it with a laptop, and they do it for free. On a ~$130-150 bag! They are lovely to work with. Yeah it’s a little more salsey than the big name fashion houses, but you’ll be welcomed in, offered water, allowed to touch and wear things, and generally treated like a real customer - and the leather bags only get better with age. I’ve had some for twenty years and they’re perfect, but when a strap split on a crossbody they didn’t blame me - they said it’s a known issue, no questions, sent it back to France, they replaced with a new design strap without the issue, reconditioned the bag, and returned it - for free. The bag was 5 yrs old at that point, and had traveled all over the world with me and i was not easy on it. It looked brand new!
Love adipability the way you show it! You really focus on showing off the bag. I don't think any other RUclipsr can show off bags in as much detail as you
Tanner thank you for reviewing Longchamp! I like this brand and I have a few pieces of the nylon and I also own some of the leather pieces but what I loved the most about your video was seeing your LUNA bag on the background! I ordered one and I can’t wait to get it!! Thank you for teaching us about the true quality and value of leather goods.
Me remembering nearly all the bags from the jag collection in LYXBAG other apartment on the dimond tray.. I think i watched that video like 40 times. Purse collection goals..
For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I'll be happy that I have the kislux as my travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
I love their bags. I couldn’t afford it when I was a kid, but bought my first tote and leather purse this summer. They’re both so lovely to wear and extremely well made, bright colors and practical. Eyeing another bag, but waiting for another sale.
Interesting video with very fair comments that enable us to make up our minds about the brand. I love that they still have physical shops and that some production is still in France. The brand is clearly displaying its values through areas it is willing to compromise on and areas on which it won't. I wasn't particularly interested in Longchamp before now.
I have several le pliage - a couple of them customized many years ago. (Those customized ones were made in France at their Maine et Loire factory)Even though they are mostly nylon they are still very reliable and still going strong. A couple of them have holes on the corners but normal with wear and tear. Longchamp will fix it for you for one time for free of charge when you take it into a boutique. Last time I asked about it they said it would take a few weeks to get repaired. Unfortunately don’t have a boutique near me as I live in the countryside but would definitely use them for repair very easily at their boutique if there was one nearby.
Thank you. It’s hard to try other contemporary leather bags when I tend to compare them with Coach. I might try their leather bag, but I do love their well known foldable Totes. Thanks ❤
They have smooth and also pebble leather products, and they’re known for the light weight of their bags - it’s sort of a signature. It’s the only men’s bag my husband will carry because all the others game felt so heavy/bulky my comparison. They also make a leather Pliage - it’s Métis, a goat-lamb hybrid leather that is soft and pliable like lamb but strong and more scratch resistant like goat. (It’s what Chanel should be using instead of their infamously fragile lamb, imo!)
You should a video on designer brands you personally recommend buying from, on terms of craftmanship and quality or which bags or luxury purses you personally recommend even thought we all know they will be extremely overpriced
I've had a leather longchamp crossbody for 26 years, and it still an amazing bag. Have a backpack on the way, we'll see what 26 years has done for the company. I was in a local Longchamp store, and though I made it clear I was only getting one of the things we were chatting about, they encouraged me to play with the bags anyway. Yes, there was interaction with the sales person, but they didn't force anything, and made helpful suggestions. I guess they know that this way, you catch more flies with honey. I'll be back to purchase some of those bags I played with.
I have a 26 year old Longchamp leather bag that looks as chic, gorgeous, and timeless as the day I bought it. I've never cared for the aesthetic of the Le Pliage bag.
Longchamp uses drummed leather (same with Celine?) for some of the products (like some Le Foulonne). The leather is gorgeous and I think you might enjoy cutting and examine it more.
I had 2 nylon longchamp bags over the last 10 years, bought the first one when I started my bachelors and the other one when I almost finished my Masters, I used the later for work as well for 2-3 years.🤓For whatever reason, I feel it is my best bag, because I have used them almost all the time for work, study, and travel in the past 10 years. The four corners are broken, but I can throw it on the ground casually, and it doesn't matter if liquid spills inside. They serves me well.😬
I'm a new subscriber, though I've watched your videos for a while. Always happy to hear your conclusions although I cringe every time you rip up a new bag. Keep up the good work, its very educational. 😊
I am glad to hear your conformation Longchamp is a great brand. Regarding your costing, it would be fairer to not just factor material and labour only but include overhead costs such as rent and running costs of the factory and stores, design and build of the stores, marketing cost and research and development cost. Any surplus after these extra costs would be the luxury brand premium.
Longchamp has been my favourite brand name to go to, not only because of the price points but also the language design. However, Longchamp might be more well-known for their signature diamond pattern cowhide leather which can be seen on the flaps of the Le Pliage line or their SLG. Anw, really enjoy your content and hope to see more!
Thank you for doing this Longchamp! You nailed it - I love them but also feel confused sometimes. I do wish you could have tested some of their other of leathers since they really make so few suede pieces. I would love to also see your opinion on the leathers they are more known for to those of us who love them like the foulonne leather (tumbled leather), Roseau (probably their most iconic leather bags) and newest line - the boxtrot. Thank you again!
Please break down Tom Ford leather, ideally their leather jackets. They charge a hefty premium, and I would like to know if their calfskin is up to snuff, as their silhouettes are exquisite.
I have their blue parisis messenger bag, about 3 years old. It's a surprisingly thin leather bag. Aside from a small ugly discoloration, it still holds up really well. I expected it to be damaged in a short time, but I'm amazed that the leather still feels ok.
It's great to hear that your blue Parisis messenger bag has held up well over the years. The resilience and durability of the material are definitely impressive! The fact that it still feels okay speaks volumes about the quality of the bag. Thanks for sharing your experience with the bag!
I used to buy only Longchamp bags. I don’t need to buy anymore because they are still in good shape and I wear them daily. I don’t buy them nowadays as I think design over years is repetitive and prices doubled or tripled.
I have one le peliage and one red leather satchel. I can’t discard them although I find them unexciting now because they are still in good condition after years.
Good morning. I want to ask if you have a review video on .arc Jacob's denim tote bag? Thanks thus really help to make a decision before buying the high end bags.
I looove Longchamp. It’s my first designer handbag and I’ve been using it for 11 years! I wanted to buy another one when I traveled to Toronto in December of last year but the SA in the Premium Outlet was verrry unfriendly borderline Rude.
That's wonderful to hear that you've been enjoying your Longchamp handbag for 11 years! It's always disappointing when a poor customer service experience taints an otherwise positive brand association. Have you considered exploring other authorized retailers or online platforms for purchasing another Longchamp bag? There are likely better avenues to acquire the bag without having to endure unpleasant interactions.
Think about some italian brands likes Furla, Cromia, Braccialini or Coccinelle please, not so luxury maybe, but look like good quality and I would like to know what you will see inside them
Good breakdown of Longchamp. It's unfortunate that you got a bag made in China. Long champ bags are made in seven different countries. If you had looked at the country of origin label inside each bag on that shelf you probably would have come across some made in Morocco Tunisia France Romania etc.
+1 I have bags from France, Morocco, and Tunisia, and the it’s an open secret that the tanneries in Morocco supplying LC also supply Hermes (I was there on vacation but was reading a local business magazine in the airport - supply chain is my background so I geek out on this stuff). Balenciaga has some gorgeous goat and lamb leather, but overall a Saint think you can beat the value for quality of LC.
I have many handbags but I always grab and go with my Le Pliage. I like this suede hobo handbag. As long as the quality is there, I don’t mind if it’s made in a China.

I have a 26 year old Longchamp leather bag that looks as chic, gorgeous, and timeless as the day I bought it.
I've never cared for the aesthetic of the Le Pliage bag.
Absolutely love the coat you are wearing! and the MoMcoco bag !
You should do the ROW! Lookimg forward
Can you please dissect a Polo RL bag please specifically the Polo ID one in leather?
I love the rolled leather handles on the Le Piage, they feel luxurious. Thank you!
I only have Le Pliages and love them. The nylon could discolor buy the leather handles age beautifully
I JUST GOT ONE AND WAS GONNA ASK U TO REVIEW TYYSMM❤❤ i just turned 17 and this is my first luxury purse i am so proud of myself😊
That's amazing! Congratulations on your first luxury purse!
Longchamp uses drummed leather (same with Celine?) for some of the products (like some Le Foulonne). The leather is gorgeous and I think you might enjoy cutting and examine it more.
Hello! I love watching your expertise in these videos. Please keep them up. You are very much appreciated! 🙏🌷
Glad to hear that. The Leathertainment will continue. Thanks for your support 🙏
Which models seemed a bit rushed?
I don’t have a Longchamp shop in my area so I was looking online
Best bags when it rains or snows.
Same! I have leather bags in several styles from Longchamp and would love Tanner’s opinion on them.
4:17 the hardware is which sort of 4:21 ❓alloy?
Thank you for the review. Have you reviewed Patricia Nash purses yet?
My mom bought one kislux and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.
I’m both glad and frustrated I found you because now I’m obsessed with good leather and have minimal idea on how to spot it
Glad to hear you're excited about good leather! It's worth the obsession. You can always look at my reviews as your guide to help you.
Amei todas as bolsas lindas e de muito bom gosto.Parabens *yutulux*😘😘😘
Wonderful investigative journalism 😊 I’m going to buy one soon!! Thank you.
Hi. Another great video. I did send you a message about adding feet to a bag. Is it possible to add feet to a bag????

Please break down Tom Ford leather, ideally their leather jackets. They charge a hefty premium, and I would like to know if their calfskin is up to snuff, as their silhouettes are exquisite.
Tom Ford is on my list but I will add the leather jacket you suggested. Thank you so much!
Your closet is simple a dream! Not just the *yutulux* bags but the ready to wear that you have is absolutely stunning
I love Long Champ. Thank you for the review.
You are so welcome 🤗
Great video. Very interesting. Please do a deconstruction on Mulberry bags. Thank you.
Where can i get the same bag as the brown one in the background behind you 😍😍😍
That is from his own company called Pegai. Check the video description for a link to his website.
I think the pink Gucci bag would look lovely in summer with a white top and light blue denim HIDUPZ
I have a few Longchamp bags, hardy and fashionable, love them!
That's wonderful to hear! Their hardy yet fashionable designs certainly make them a versatile and reliable choice.
Hi can you so Songmont it’s very popular right now. I’m debating between that on and polene. I enjoyed you polene video
It's wonderful to hear that your Le Peliage and red leather satchel have held up so well over the years.Thank you for sharing it!
Hi Tanner,
Would love to see trussardi bags review, I never see their bags on RUclips anywhere
Good morning. I want to ask if you have a review video on .arc Jacob's denim tote bag? Thanks thus really help to make a decision before buying the high end bags.
Can i ask about the cardboard all of the brands use. Is this a normal material to be used in bags? Does it not wet or rip apart in time?
Think about some italian brands likes Furla, Cromia, Braccialini or Coccinelle please, not so luxury maybe, but look like good quality and I would like to know what you will see inside them
Can you please review Celine specifically the Celine Trio?
Tanner, would you please do a dissection on a Tod's leather bag and/or Ferragamo bag? Thank you.
I like Longchamp because of its durability! Also, have you heard of Cafune? It’s made by HK designer. Perhaps you can review them?
Please do Mulberry! 🙏
It’s my understanding that Longchamp will service any of their bags for life. It’s exceptional customer service which is the true luxury.
Can you review Paris 64 Lumiere bag in the croc leather
So so happy to see this! Thank you for the review ❤
Good breakdown of Longchamp. It's unfortunate that you got a bag made in China. Long champ bags are made in seven different countries. If you had looked at the country of origin label inside each bag on that shelf you probably would have come across some made in Morocco Tunisia France Romania etc.
Thanks for adding this info I didn't read those countries listed anywhere else. Appreciate your support
I am looking to buy a Longchamp crossbody bag. But it's made in Mauritius. Is the quality going to be much worst than "made in France"?
@@Classical416 it shouldnt
En el momento en que vi el bolso kislux , supe que tenía que tenerlo.
I have many handbags but I always grab and go with my Le Pliage. I like this suede hobo handbag. As long as the quality is there, I don’t mind if it’s made in a China.
kislux versace bag is so cute
I had a leather longchamp where the surface flaked and I had to discard it 😢
Could make a review of an aigner cybill? Would be really interesting
Could you please review Italian brand Bric’s ? They sell travel luggage and small leather goods
What about their men’s collection? I use to sell their men’s products at Bloomingdale’s and much of it was made in China but it didn’t look too bad
