I got the same cabinets about a month ago! Fantastic, they have so much space. I was able to organize my garage/mancave beautifully using these cabinets! Couldn’t be happier
Glad I saw your video. I just ordered a 10 piece set and have the same cinder blocks on the outer edge of my garage. I will probably have to do the same with you, with 4x4 blocks for the legs. Or I was considering running a long 4x4 underneath in the middle of the cabinet, so it supports the cabinets but isn't as visable from the front. Thanks for the vids!
Hi Chris, thank you for your video. Great job on the installation of the cabinets. I will be purchasing mine in the next couple of weeks. Great idea on the blocks. If I could recommend you should paint the blocks black.
I began setting up my system, I have 10 foot ceiling in my garage, with that, I had ordered 4 sets of the casters for mobility, I am glad that I had, it gets extremely dusty her in AZ. I vacuum and mop out the garage at least once a month.
Awesome review bro. I remember your first ever video and you're def killing it. Cause of the video you and your wife made, me and my wife got this system as well. We like honest reviews like these. Keep it up!
Thanks for the honest review - I am semi-limited by depth so I can also fit my car in the garage adjacent to the cabinets so I am comparing the Bold vs Pro and some other brands like Saber - I only have about 16-18" depth to play with. Also deciding on true wall-mount or doing like you did with the 4x4 plus wall mount for stability; nice idea. Laundry basket also nifty idea!!
That’s a good plan, my worry was weight limitations but if mounted correctly should work well. I have mine on treated wood blocks so I can still wash floors
Thanks for the video, I received my cabinets the other day, have to mount them to the wall because the floor slope is greater than 2" overall. I like your method of using 4x4 blocks for extra support
Thanks for the review, Chris. I'm about to buy a set. Would you please tell me the height from the ground to the bottom of the top cabinets? I'm wondering if my garage window (and window A/C) will be full exposed in the opening of the Bold setup. Thank you.
You guys think the quality is really good for the bold series? The depth of 18” makes me feel Ike you can not store that much. I ordered the pro but have been debating to the bold, just bc it could save me 1k. Any feedback would be great
Chris Ciuc what about the quality? Is it flimsy? Or dent easily? I plan on using this on my garage at home mainly for storage... appreciate the response back.
Great review. I would recommended for organizing and keeping your tools in place to get foam pad pieces and you can cut and stencil to the size of the tool. We used that in the Military and worked great for organizing.
Great video! Are there any holes in the back of the cabinets or the floor to run power cables through? Curious to know if the cabinets are covering up outlets if I could run an extension cord from the outlet on the wall and feed it into the cabinets.
Oh man GREAT video and information especially being that I have the cinder block issue like you do. Would you mind giving me the height measurement of the end cabinets themselves without the foot pegs? thanks in advance dude!
Could you just screw the lockers to the wall without the feet in the front? Just got my Bold lockers and also have a curb to deal with. Thanks in advance!
Honestly I was more than surprised and happy with the thickness. I did not and do not have any twist issues. I am happy with them and have zero complaints.
Hi Chris, getting ready to start my next project but like all my projects i research the help out of what I get. I want a 1 and done. Do not want to have to re-buy later because of issues, defects, wear and tear, etc. Review was awesome and you did what I am planning on doing with my garage overhaul and I would like some more info on that. You have yours 4" off the floor. My walls sit on the foundation a goo 24". There is a bit of a lip, where the cabinets can rest on (about 2.5") I plan on bolting these to every stud and I believe NewAge also offers a bracket to mount the lockers onto a wall. So my question is, how are yours mounted on the wall? Are you using NewAge's wall bracket? Are lockers screwed into each stud? Are there multiple wall mounting sections? Although I have that lip, I believe 1 wall does not and therefore the concern of hanging the cabinet 24" off the floor with no lip to rest on. Thank you in advance and looking forward to your feedback.
Hello, i simply screwed each cabinet into stud with hardware provided no need for brackets in my opinion the weight is not on the wall... The floor holds the weight the wall is just an anchor and I did screw every cabinet in the wall. As for the top they are on indeed holding weight so I think I did use a bracket there hard to remember it’s been a while
@@BOO5Tchannel hey thanks for replying. I do not plan on having these on the floor or like you had done use some wood under the legs. These will be totally suspended (other than resting on the foundation lip, if available). Hence, the concern with weight and mounting to the wall. Don't need them tumbling down or ripping a stud or wall down.
Thanks for that very informative perspective, Chris! I have been grappling with the quality issue, particularly for the drawers & doors (ie, people leaning on open drawers & cabinets). What do you (or any of you experienced folks) think of my trying to cut costs by "hybriding" the Bold series for wall cabinets & Pro for under workbench tool drawers/cabinets? As it is now, I would be looking at a continuous strip of about 144" (12 ft)of wall cabinets, with slatboard underneath, & a workbench (with a sink in the center), & undercounter combo of cabinets & a couple of tool drawer units. The other wall (separated from this one by fridge, central vac, door to the mudroom in the house) would have about 112" (9ft) of wall cabinets & slatboard underneath. As a "woodworker", do you think the bamboo workbench surface could be easily cut to accommodate an 18" x 14" bar-style sink, without losing it's integrity & durability? What do you think of Husky regular compared to this or Husky Heavy Duty compared to New Age Pro? I truly appreciate any advice you could offer...!
Hello, I am not sure you need the pro, bold is surprisingly strong and durable but that part is up to you. I unlike most use mine daily and holds up great! You can definitely cut the bamboo without issue in my opinion. I am not familiar with Husky but can say I’m very pleased with Newage and just a fyi I paid full price and they do not sponsor me so this is full honest opinion. Thanks hope I helped a bit
@@BOO5Tchannel Thanks so much for your quick response & honest opinion...I guess it'll come down to what is available in the timeline I have to work in. It seems that many New Age units I need to make the jig-saw puzzle fit in my garage, are "out of stock", so please let me know if there's any other brand you would have picked that are equivalent to the Bold or better, that perhaps I can hybrid in to match the overall set-up...

Great review! Just ordered a set of New Age cabinets last week and was also thinking of mounting them up on a higher curb in my garage (like the cmu blocks in yours). It was helpful to see it 👍🏼. Have you looked into using the Slatwall to put more tools/stuff on the wall?
Hello, yes the slatwall is nice but I did not go with it yet because I have an outlet in that area but may purchase and cut out a hole. Thanks for the comment!
I am receiving these tomorrow from Costco, pretty excited. My question is I have the concrete footings along the wall approx 5 high, I'm assuming the legs in front won't extend all the way down and I will need the blocks..for the 2 side tall cabinets? Also, the door issue is due to not being level I think as I'm going down the rabbit hole of videos and watched another guy explain that 👍

What do you recommend to use for cutting the metal slate wall backsplash for electrical outlets?
