Man!!! great video. Even more i love your place. I in the south and never traveled much north (which I'm assuming where you are) But i want to visit. Just the small clip of your outside view and now I'm searching for vacation spots. Beautiful house! Beautiful scenery! and Great Video! i went from looking for garage cabinets to looking for vacation spots. Thanks
Thanks Jo! I love the upper Ogden Valley. We are nestled right in between Snowbasin, Powder Mountain and Nordic Valley Ski Resorts for winter fun and Pineview Reservoir for wake surfing, and hundreds of mountain bike trails, all within 5-10 minutes of the driveway. Blessed. I had to go look at the video again to see the views you were referencing and they were passive. If you want some good pics, email me at edentoybarn@gmail.com. Needless to say, it's an amazing vacation spot year around. This was originally built as a second home for us and we wondered why we weren't up here full time.
Thanks for the comparison between the different product lines. I’m shopping right now for a set of cabinets that have strong locking systems to secure expensive tools.
Really well done! Your ability to pick and choose the way you have is excellent. I am getting ready to do a full house remodel and my part is the garage. I am a woodworker and work in my wheelchair. You gave me some great ideas on where to start. You have some wicked cool toys. I love looking even though I cant play. I did at one time so I still have those memories. Plus you seem to have family. That’s HUGE.
Thanks for the kind note! Keep exercising the talents with wood working and leverage that passion. I know we both believe in ability vs disability. You're awesome!
Great video. I hope to have this set up one day and I don't mean the cabinets. I mean the mountain views and a garage for my guns as well as motorcycles, boat, snowboards and all the toys!
Great side-by-side-by-side comparison! I have the gladiator-style cabinets at work and they function just fine, but as you said, feel a little flimsy when operating the doors. I am looking to put cabinets in my new garage and actually started there, but found the New Age products along the way. I’m going with the Pro series simply for the increased depth of the workbench and base cabinets. They are pricy, but compare them to a single Snap On toolbox and they suddenly appear a decent value. Once again, thanks for the comparison. Basic point-of-view type videos like this are so helpful.
thank you so much for this. you sold us on the Newage Pro series. Do you by chance have the dimensions of the interior tools drawers? I can't find it on their site.
Great video. Thanks. I was brought to your channel with the cabinets. But I like what you did with your baseboard on your attached garage. It looks like you covered that unsightly concrete ledge with a taller piece of wood and then put a baseboard on the top of that. I am looking for ways to make the walls join the floor in the garage and look nice. And that concrete ledge is an obstacle to that. If you can let me know what you used to cover that ledge that would be great.
Thank you for the info, as I'm in the same to set my garage up with New Age as well. I agree with the price point between the Bold and Pro, as the Bold to me is a better bang for the buck!!
This week I learned that the New Age Bold and Pro series are available from Wayfair, Lowes and Costco. The bold series is 24 gauge, (about .022” thick steel). The cabinets are 18” deep. The Pro Series is 18 gauge steel (.047” thick). The cabinet depth is 24” they are about 4” taller than the Bold. The Pro series is close to double the price of the Bold series. I have tremendous headaches this year when ordering appliances, insulation, etc from Lowes. Wayfair’s customer service is absolutely amazing every time. I ended up ordering from Costco today, because you can return items to any one of 800 stores.
I have both the Gladiator and NewAge products. Gladiator does sell pre-assembled cabinets that are welded together at a higher price point, still less than the New Age products. Frankly, I think Gladiator is better in many instances over the NewAge bold. The gauge of steel is thicker in the Gladiator, shelving is definitely better in Gladiator. NewAge looks better. There are products out there much better than either of these. I've seen cabinets made out of Kentucky that are 8-10,000 dollars and have 14 gauge steel. I've had a gear drawer box collapse on me from NewAge. It's too light to handle things like wrenches and sockets on upper drawers. Frankly, the NewAge Bold products I think are crap, definitely one of the worst purchases I have made. I don't have the Pro model so can't comment on it. The more expensive Gladiator pre-assembled has full pull out shelving on some of the products. The pre-assembled Gladiator is better quality than the Bold 3.0 and for less money.
Nice setup. When you got money to burn, why not buy a bunch of storage cabinets. How do you like you Mystery Ranch bags, I bought a RATS Pack last year (Quite expensive). But I love it.
Not sure if you've looked lately but they're back in stock on the New Age website. I've had some stuff in my cart for a few weeks trying to decide if I wanna pull the trigger but may look at the Gladiator a bit more before I decide after seeing this video!
I installed the Gladiator cabinets in my garage back in 2017. They have held up good. I did find that there wasn’t enough space, I two years I built drawers and slide out shelves for additional space. I spaced the on the footings on garage and fastened them into the studs with GRK lags. I’ve been very happy with them, and would recommend them
Wouldn't a more fair comparison have been the Gladiator against NewAge RTA(ready to assemble) cabinets since you keep mentioning you had to build the Gladiator cabinets.

I subscribed, just so I could see your garage/barn!!!😳 absolutely fantastic setup, I’m jealous!!😂
Ha! Thanks! I've been tweaking some things, so I'll do some new videos in the coming weeks. Thanks for subscribing!
Thanks for the Costco tip. I'm not a member, so I never would have thought of that.
Great side-by-side-by-side comparison!

Thanks for watching and for your comments! So true, crazy what some of the big tool brands can charge! Drop some pics of your setup when completed!
Thanks for the comparison. Great review of the relative differences between the gladiator to the new age bold to new age pro
Glad it helped, Jason. Best of luck in your build.

Very nice in-depth honest review, thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Very well done and helpful. Thank you!
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing. Would love to see you buy a piece of Husky Heavy Duty and just use it to compare

So sorry for a slow reply. It was foundation stucco done by the same guys that did the floor.
Priceless review my friend. Thank you so much!
Art from Ohio
Thanks Art!
Thanks for the video! This really helped me understand which series NewAge I’d like to go with
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for the note!

It looks like they make some great stuff!

@newageproducts give the man an affiliate link and I’ll purchase a full garage setup with it!
@@larsgardian We absolutely sent him one :)
Thanks Lars!
@NewAgeProducts I've never received the communication you referenced.
Thank you for the honest coverage. Very helpful!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for the note!
that actually was pretty helpful. looks like you have a really nice property btw
Glad it helped! And thanks, it's a work in progress!
Great setups! Thanks for the comparisons. What state are you in out of curiosity?
Thanks! I'm in a small town in the hills of Utah. Eden.

Great insight! Huge Costco fan!
Heads up, comments are disabled on your DIY Gear Wall video.
Thank you for the heads up! Still a newbie. Just changed it.
What do you actually do for a living all those garages😊
Ha. Profession is unrelated. I'm in supply chain and right now it's a blood bath.

Mystery Ranch does some awesome stuff. They have a messenger bag that was my go to daily for work for a long time.
This was awesome!
Thanks Jason!
I’ve tried going online to NewAge and to Costco, but almost every cabinet combo they “sell” is listed as Out of Stock! Really a bummer!
I've noticed that lately and not sure if something is happening with manufacturing or what.
Not sure if you've looked lately but they're back in stock on the New Age website. I've had some stuff in my cart for a few weeks trying to decide if I wanna pull the trigger but may look at the Gladiator a bit more before I decide after seeing this video!
Thanks for the great video, very informative!

So many rooms, so much stuff! Impressed and jealous and a little mystified. You must be one busy guy to take advantage of all this.
Love to play together with my fam!

Great point! I just don't have that set up.
Sure hope you win “Father of the year”!
Ha. Thanks. Blessed to be able to play with my kids.
Dude... whats your line of work?
Haha, logistics. Brutal couple of years in supply chain though.
New age are actually cheaper on their website than Costco
Thanks Allen. Yeah, interesting that the prices have flipped that way.
What's with all the guns? ah Merican.
Just a collector with some passion.
I like them Freightliner chairs
Thanks! I wish I. could point you in a direction for them, but they were a gift from Freightliner.
