Good to know ! Just passed the 180,000km mark on mine, still going strong, but I don't drive it the way I used to. Trying to extend the motor's life for as long as possible ! Beautiful car, man !
Very nice mate , I’ve owned three r33 gtst all very similar to yours over the years first one was back in 2005 when I was 19 The prices are insane now , 180sx/Silvia all the same too , most are junk and still ask 30-40k
Bought this exact year and spec today from a dealer in Japan. Getting it shipped over to the US. Its always been a dream of mine to own a akyline. 1 owner all stock
Hey mate had this video saved for a while. Finally picked up a R33 GTS-T and drove it home to VIC from QLD. Was inspired by your car as I really love the "stock" style that really shows off the Japanese spirit. Hope to bring it up to spec to match yours in one way or another so thanks for the inspiration.
Too funny! I've owned my '96 gtst for about 18 years, and my first car was an SLR mock up V8 Torana! Which is also the only other car I have loved driving! (Nanna's Datsun 120Y doesn't count! Haha.)
Do you have a detailed vlog anywhere to see what is all needed to build that much power into these? I'm still looking for a reasonably priced R33, they are crazy expensive in the USA.
No detailed vlog, the cars fairly standard, those power levels are very achievable with basic bolt ons and a tune. Yes they have gone up quite a lot in price, we (Australia) have been pretty fortunate as we imported a lot into the country in the 00’s so has helped pricing a little bit agree find a reasonably priced one now is hard.
It’s the freight costs that are a real killer at the moment, yes the cars are cheaper in Japan but getting them to your doorstep will likely costs a bit more than you expect. Also good examples in Japan are getting scarce.
Amps are Alpine PDX-F6 4/3/2 Channel Power Density Digital Amplifier & Alpine PDX-M12 Mono Power Density Digital Amplifier. Speakers are fronts focal PS165fx and rears 165CVX.
Custom front mounts to clear the window and fit behind oem trim, slightly mods to rear speakers themselves to fit, checker plate mount in the boot for amps so they sit flat.
There’s so many factors that go into insurance costs, age being one of the biggest. Easiest to call or get some online quotes, will give best indication for your circumstances.

Ahh the old 120Y, current generations are missing out! Thanks for the comment Pzulio.

@MattDutton I can't find anything under $30K in the USA. It's a little absurd considering they can be purchased for half of that, or less, in Japan.

Need some advice. Apparently you can't hook up a haltech on a auto skyline is this true or false or is there another ecu that operates on auto's
I’m no haltech expert but can’t see why it would be issue. Best to just call haltech direct and confirm.
@@MattDutton yeah your right.
Was the importer raw performance imports?
Believe it was
Very nice car Matt! Are you willing to sell it?
Currently not for sale, maybe one day in the future though.
Whats the offset of your wheels please mate?
+32 all round
Wheels are actually 18x9, not 9.5 as stated in the video too
How much does it cost to insure an r33 gtst?
