@@demigod4171 I’m not entirely sure. I first watched the show when I was around 14-15 and Ukitake immediately caught my attention despite not having much screentime. I can’t really tell you a specific reason as I don’t really have one…
i dont hate ukitake but how can you love the most boring captain, the only good thing about him is: kind, shunsuis friend, calm. (atleast in anime, i think in manga he does more in tybw arc?) theres nothing bad about him i think but idk how he can be a favourite when he does nothing

Tenjiro = squad 4. As he said that he said, he was the one who was teaching Unohana how to use Kaido (healing). Senjumaru fits squad 2. The way she acts and commanded the other soul reapers in the fight against Yuhach. Oetsu fits squad 3. Based on who was in the squad 3 captains. Oetsu fits squad 5. As he used 80% kido in his fight

What about Amagai Shūsuke?
Tenjiro fits the 4th because of his healing springs. Senjumaru fits the 12th because they are known for their inventions and Senjmaru created the shinigami uniform. Ichibe and Oetsu were most likely never in any division, because Oetsu created the Asauchu and Ichibe gave their names, which happened loooong before the creation of Gotei 13 by Yamamoto and his gang.
Ah, yes, it makes sense that if oetsu created zanpakuto, it means there are no shinigami before him.

@@queueburst9928 nah, they have swords. After all, they are called "Soul Reapers", or Shinigami. It's just that the concept of a zanpakutou, which includes the utilisation of reaitsu on the blade, forming unique shapes and powers that increases the effectiveness in slaying hollows, was not invented yet.
@@queueburst9928Oetsu created the asauchi not the zanpakuto. Before he created it, all the shinigamis were like Ichigo and they got their sword as an extension of their reistsu instead of them channeling their reiatsu through the asauchi and making a zanpakuto.

I really think Love, Renji, Ikaku or Hisagi could have filled up the position of Komamura and Shunsui, power wise.
Lisa and Iba. What feats do they even have to hold the title, if not not only for their relationship with their predecessor. But personality wise, Renji, Ikaku and Hisgi will never leave their captains.
So that leaves Love who used to be the 7th captain before Komamura.
Hisagi's bankai was badass.

@@yunan9610 name a captain in the previous generation who was weak in battle, or died in battle for not having STRENGTH of captain to fight. Pleeeeaaase. All captains and vice captains are the main force of seretei, captain and vice especially are on the frontlines since they’re one-man armies.
Except for Ukitake who wasn’t given much away mission because of his a) health, b) seniority, as well as Shinsui for most tasks are given to the younger captains, and Unohana for obvious effing reasons, , Everybody have been sent to dangerous missions without special treatment. Yama was not like that.
STRENGTH is a requisite to be captain, that means Bankai is a must. To have bankai must mean extensive experience in combat and mastery of zanpakuto.
They had to be powerful since all of them fight hollows and other dangerous beings. You know they don’t rely on their underlings in combat.
Isane is not expected to fight since she’s their best healer now.
So STRENGTH is the main reason to be a captain, especially in the latest generation pf captains. They lost too many strong captains, Yama, Unohana, Komamura, Ukitake, Gin, Tosen, Aizen. After the Quincy beat the shit from most of them, they especially need to have strong captains to fill upin the gap qnd lack of strength of gotei.

I can see Tenjiro being in 13th squad,although it makes more sense if he was in the 4th. For Oetsu,he was in Squad 0 since the beginning,along with Ichibei

Well he was a background character for the whole show, he gets the praise he deserves.
The most we saw him doing was drawing blades offscreen with Ikkaku while Zaraki was messing around with Tousen and Komamura.

Tenjiro was in 4th but if we had to make guesses for Oetsu and Senjumaru, I'd say Senjumaru Squad 2/3/5/6, Oetsu Squad 7/9/10/11
Good theory, but i don't think about senjumaru because in ch. 517 she freely infiltrated Mayuri's lab, and stole Byakuya's and Renji's bodies. Then, she said that the security wasn't as good as when she was there. So that means she was in the 12th division.

@@queueburst9928 Ichibei was never a captain he existed even before gotei 13 was made I think and so is oh-etsu since he did make the zanpakutos, so both ichibei and oh-etsu are most likely pre gotei 13

Ichibei was so strong, he has no bankai. He knows everyone, and he can change that as well.

I don't know if anyone notices it other than me, but Shirafude Ichimonji isn't just a Rename. Instead, Bankai is more about realizing what the user wants in the scope of identity manipulation. It's as if creating a scenario that comes true according to the "name" given.

@@johngona5929 it is a Bankai. Ichibē called it "Shin'uchi" which translates to "True Strike" or "True Blade", it's called that because the term "Bankai" got invented long after he achieved it. So basically "Shin'uchi" is an old way of saying "Bankai", which means that Shirafude Ichimonji is indeed a bankai.

You really don't know much tenjiro is from the 4th division nimaiya never was part of any division and senjumaru is from the 2nd, one of the reasons why she was ascended to the squad zero was for making the stealth and assassins division

Yes, tenjirou and nimaiya should be like that. But, this video I made was based on bleach fandom, you could search on google.
Then, I don't think that shutara was in the 2nd division. In chapter 517, she seemed to be able to infiltrate Mayuri's lab and stole Tensa Zangetsu. Then, she said that the security was not as good as when she was there. So my theory is shutara should be in the 12th division.

@@queueburst9928 I think she was referring to Hikafune. Because she used to be Captain and Shutara was probably a Captain at the same time. Although it's my head canon, Mayuri looks up to Shutara, and that's why Nemu's face resembles her. But it seems like Shutara is stealth division and that makes her division 2.

The thing I dont like so much is when people usually make mistake when they write a Japanese name in reverse way.
The right way is surename first and then forename. (cause their name have a meaning)
So for example, it is Kuchiki Byakuya - 朽木 白哉 - how an white old tree ; not Byakuya Kuchiki - old tree how a white -_-

However, in some countries (including mine), the surname is always at the end of the name, so if someone's name is in Japanese when translated to my mother tongue (or even to English), it will be the reverse way.

But not just Japan, some countries in Asia, especially in Sinoshere, the surename come first and our name have a meaning. Reverse them and it's might sound ridiculous :)))). By the way my name means a strong storm... cause I was born in a storm -_-.

@@b4k47 he is a filler character from a filler arcs. He is not canon. That mean that he actually never existed in the real story. If you don't know what a filler is you should watch video to understand what it is. Fillers are episodes that the anime added and that never happened in the manga. Like example the bounts(vampire), in the manga they never existed and its the anime who added them so that the anime don't have advance on the manga. So arcs like the bount arc, Captain Amagai arc, Zanpakuto arc and the one where we save the green hair girl are not canon and never actually happened because they never existed in the manga

the new captains are weak but the original (by original i mean the captains with gin,aizen,tosen ect. not the first gotei) remaining captains got alot stronger (zaraki,byakuya,toshiro,mayuri ect) but still gotei got weaker when like half of the captains died.

Unohana used to be captain of 11th division. Remember in ep 7 how it showed the original captains? The first one slicing was her

No they were not tenjiro was the founding captain of squad 4 and the original healer when unohana was still the kenpachi in squad 11, also oetsu nimaiya was already a member of the royal guard long before the gotei 13 was ever founded so the info is a bit off. It was also stated by Yamamoto that jushiro was the first captain of squad 13 meaning the only captain until he died and rukia took over!
Ah, I got it. But I don't think that juushiro is the former of gotei 13. I didn't notice it in the manga or anime, or I just missed it. In 'turn back in the pendulum' arc, shunsui only stated that unohana, juushiro, yama, and himself has been a captain for a hundred years, not the former of gotei 13.
And I agree about your statement that tenjiro was the former of the 4th squad because logically, he taught unohana about healing or something, but there is no more information about it.

And Jūshiro wasn't the first captain of 13th Division, just as Kyōraku wasn't the first captain of 8th Division. They were the first shinigami that attended the Shinigami Academy founded by Yamamoto to become captains. But there were already captains before that

Ichibei is over a million years old and appeared dyring the same era as the soul king when worlds were still all merged together. He is far far far older than any other characters we've seen. Yamamoto is about 3000, oetsu arround 5000, but ichibei is just a whole new tier

@@queueburst9928 We know for a fact Oetsu was never in the 13 squads, he is much much much older than any shinigami besides Ichibei. He was in squad zero o9kg before the 13 squads were a thing
