I loved the skeleton stocked version as soon as I saw it, my Rifles have similar stocks so that the way I swing :-) Bought mine a couple of months ago and love it. am very happy with it.
I personally wouldn’t buy one and would rather put the money towards something more proven such as a miroku, beretta, browning etc., although I do get the appeal of having a brand new gun. I’m also assuming depreciation levels will be similar to that of Yildiz, ATA etc where it will be worth half of what you paid for it in 12 months time. It’s also great to see honest reviews which aren’t swayed by sponsorships, sales etc. it’s what’s refreshing about your videos. Keep up the great work.
I fancy one as ive shot my mcnabb for 14 yrs with no issues at all. Like the look but recently Today held one at the NEC show today ,and found the Trigger to far and the glove bit would need shaving. However, Highland assured me no issue with the warranty if I did shave it and are willing to not only makesure there’s a demo at Bywell but as I’d be buying this and a ladies Wembley and Scott they would give me both guns at show price, that’s 20% off , I’m not into competition so at £2000 for two guns that’s got to Appel. Remember I’ve had mine for 14 yrs and no problems, so for me it’s a no brainer😊
I picked them up at the BSS as well. The glove grip just didn’t fit my biggish hands (9.5 in a MacWet) and I really don’t like the blue accents but you can’t knock what you get for the money especially the skeleton version as long as you know what you’re doing from a fit point of view. Too much adjustment can be a bad thing.
Like the fore end and buttstock design, don't care for glove grip at all. Could do without the blue trunion caps and other blue features For the money the wood is nice enough that a poor boy could tune up the finish with do it yourself hand work. loved your trigger decription - Agricultural 😂. Overall reminds me of rhe early production Caeser Guerini products - good ergonomics and features to fit the shooter. W&S Cheaped out on trigger and mechanical function where CG made that one of their priorities. The price point would more likely send me to a used Brownig / Miroku or Briwning 725 platform. Thanks for another excellent review.
Really liked the look of these at shooting show. But they had lettering on the sides was in blue . Made it look much better and tied in the blue hinges into the action. I know it's a very minor thing but has put me right off. Maybe I try and shoot a demo gun somewhere if I like it I get the blue done myself . Maybe a skilled sign writer could do it. Good review though would love to see you shoot more.
There are some good offerings for not a hell of a lot in todays world, although i'm not sure what market they are aimed at, perhaps the entry level trap world, which i'm not so sure about, 1100 isn't much and yes they are very adjustable, but in terms of throwing thousands down range i'm not walking past a used mk38 trap
I waited so long for my license , I wanted one of these when my license came through but I started to see reviews and I saw some other W&S models and the wood looked like a fence post. I don’t think I could shoot a 9+ lbs gun
Go quality used first. I have a bunch of shotguns, most mid-higher grade guns, all purchased used (many from Holts), I've never regretted going this route.
@@nickyuhas9209 Yes, first batch of L/H Metal arrived at wholesalers (post proof) end of Jan 2024. More information: Trigger is two stage and mechanical, not inertia based. As Metal stock is quite heavy, I would recommend the adjustable wood stock in preference. Overall, great value for money.
@@MrBobmeadowsThanks for the info, so you think you would have rathered the full wood stock if you were to purchase again? How is the barrel select does it work for you well, and issues with the gun so far. Much appreciated! Hopefully I can find one for left hand. The struggle lol
@@rickyspanish9585 Got mine about 3rd Feb 24, one tiny issue fixed by wholesalers in 17 minutes and shooting VERY well. Have patterned 1/4 chokes and shoots well. Metal stock is heavy, so consider wood stock to test also.
Hi Lloyd, am from Zambia nice video and looking good guns so I need one what can I do or what is the procedure for me to have one from your company please advise me
Does anyone know what the limits are for adjustability? I'm wondering what the largest drop at comb is. Adjustable combs have been around a long time, but rarely do they have enough drop. However, the stock dimensions are generally available to see before purchase. I'd hate to get ahold of one of these and find out that it lacks the range of adjustment that I'd need to have. I don't see any info on the stock's range of adjustments.
As a guy who shoots a DT11 with a TSK, I cannot overstate the utility of a fully adjustable stock. Of course the aesthetics are questionable. 🇨🇦👍🏻
Its a pity that they Look so ugly😮

Great review. Very fair. I'd buy one if i was starting out again.
A good buy 2nd hand...Seen the wood one,s at less than £ Grand! (New) Waiting for the ATA PRO 12 ???

To be honest, I would try one. Buying one, perhaps not. Second hand browning thats been well looked after is a safer bet for quality and reliability.
I used a Browning Ultra XS for maybe 13 years before the Pro Comp Metal and they are great guns.

Well done Sir........
Thank you
I’m strangely drawn to having one of these as a spare gun because you can never have enough guns 😂 pint at the show still stands lol 😂

Cant disagree with that, my money would always go on a used B-Gun for a starter.

Seems like good value for the money.
Only time will tell really.

You are not wrong.
I have a L/H version of the Metal Stock and it shoots great. Looks a bit like a Beretta.
They make them in a left hand version? That's what I'm currently looking for.

Yes, wood. Barrel select works fine, but don't use as I have settled on 1/4 + 1/4 chokes at moment for ESP shoots.
Can you do a video on cleaning a shotgun and what cleaning products you would recommend
You mean like this one? ruclips.net/video/-QoYPhsxVaU/видео.htmlsi=Qllb3M9A6PQSVnGU
Cheers Lloyd. Took your advice bought Hull Superfast cartridges.
Good lad. The new 24g are a cracking little cartridge too.
Hi Lloyd, you have shot yildz pro and this gun which one would you pick? I've seen yildz pro selling for £1299 on gun trader new , cheers great video
Personally? I'd buy a used Browning. But these guns are not for someone like me.
Hi Lloyd great video and nice looking guns I live in the states so I don’t know if they’re available here
They certainly are.
@@lloydyp thank you for telling me I’ll have to look for them I hope they have a left hand version
@user-ho1lq1kc8r the importer posts regularly in the slay shooting group on Facebook if that helps.
@@lloydypby any chance do you know the name of the company/store importing them?

I’m going for one, Going to get the skeleton stock.
Be aware it is heavy. If you can, try before you buy
@@MrBobmeadows have you given one ago? Actually going tomorrow to look at one. Other than the weight how did you find it?

@@rickyspanish9585 Firing pin broke (probably pin manufacturing fault, as same firing pin as in other Pro Comps), very quick fix.

Call the Gunroom on Tuesday, they can arrange exports if needed.
Cheers Lloyd , Are they Italian or Turkish built ?
Turkish

I would suggest contacting the distributor in your region.
I have my comb almost flat (one perhaps 1mm spacer), and the gun mounts flat and patterns perhaps a tiny bit high of the POA.
Great review Lloyd. Both look like good guns for someone starting out. The total weight might be a bit much though.
Only time will tell...
These guns have a mehanical trigger
Unbelievable spec for the money, yes. Wouldn't buy one for two immediate reasons: Smurf blue. NO! that thumb hole... it sure looks very small
I think anyone good enough to be able to take advantage of the glove and skeleton stock would be looking at a much better quality gun
I don’t think being “good enough” is a barrier anyone thinks about when buying a glove or adjustable stock.
9 1/2 lbs?? That’s a long day for 100 clays.
You are not wrong.
Actually it is OK for 100 clay registered, using a slip in-between stands.
