The ADHD part I found fascinating because my boss at work and I were talking about having children who aren't with you at work. She has it and she said that she doesn't miss her kids while she's at work because she sort of forgets she has them. Same with she won't text her husband because she basically forgets her exists. This was initially shocking but I'm grateful she felt able to share because that was an insight I've never understood before
I really want to recommend Wilde Mode clothing/underwear, they are described as gender free and sensory friendly and it is the most comfortable thing ever! They just announced that they are doing boxers with different variations so you can choose like pouch ones, packing ones, ones that hold pads or ones with no pouch. Also their wireless bras are the best thing in terms of being so comfy and also actually supportive!
There are some concerns in the US that in states which have outlawed abortion, apps like Clue may be used to harass/investigate women. Some women's rights groups are suggesting that menstruating women consider not using such apps in order to protect their privacy.

The whole thing should be about breaking norms, instead of making new ones. I get some people feel more comfortable with boxes but box thinking is one of the main things wrong with humans. We need to get over it, yesterday! Thank you for being so delightful :) I'm 44 and love to see younger folks making things better. It sucks that there is so much off with us humans but if we can continue to shift into better humans, that is all that matters. I've subscribed to various channels you talked about and some of your own and look forward to diving into those, especially the science one. Thank you Hannah for introducing me and others to these wonderful human beings!

I really love all the guests that's been on pleasure trove lately, I've got so many new people to follow now and they're all great! The video is great and it's all just perfect, perfect, perfect.
I'm genuinely surprised that there isn't more of a general sense of outrage for the direction that ALL period apps seem to be taking - which is a total commodification of different biological functions, in the form of separate subscription modes (ie period tracking/conception/pregnancy). Perhaps it's more noticeable for me because I have been using Clue since 2018, but didn't update the app until this year, as it worked perfectly, and I had no need to until switching to pregnancy mode. All of the (very basic) features that I had faithfully logged my details with for years, and used effectively to conceive first attempt, were now behind a paywall. Clue used to have a very basic transparent mission statement, which was that they wanted health education to be accessible for everyone, so they just had a voluntary $1 monthly donation option, which i was subscribed to for years. Now it is separate $40 yearly subscription fees for basic features (ie fertile window and pms predictions). As Clue says, our bodies are NOT a clock, so something feels very disingenuous to me about putting biological functions behind separate paywalls, and then expecting women to switch between them. Our bodies don't work that way - what about miscarriages? How do those women feel about cancelling their subscriptions and requesting refunds? It's just off. I know it's not ONLY Clue doing this, as I couldn't find any period apps that don't monetize biology like this. I'm just surprised more people aren't speaking out about it - we have to pay enough for period products as it is, usually ubsubsidized by governments. I don't like to see apps finding ways to make things more expensive for us too, especially when they are such basic algorithms, it just doesn't sit right.
Omg I tried progesterone to get rid of my period too, and bled for the three months as well! I cried all the time, my high school bf told me he wished I would stop crying so much and didn't understand that I couldn't control that. Was an intense time! Also, my doctor, she said there's no negative side effects.
I watched an excerpt of Tom Scott's podcast before this and then spent the first five minutes of this video trying to figure out if this Corry was the same Corry that had been talking about running in high heels over with Tom Scott
Ohhh speaking of apps, Voda is a brilliant mental health app specifically for queer folk and is created by a trans neurodivergent person/therapist, so it's suuuuuuper inclusive ♡
The fact that Corry only has one of his sleeves rolled up distracts me every 15 seconds and, knowing him (parasocially), I'm not sure if it's on purpose or not
