Finally, someone said it! piercings can reject after even many years. My mom used to have a belly piercing that stayed for 6 years and through 2 pregnancies, but it started rejecting out of nowhere. The human body is definitely weird and unpredictable lol.
Times have changed so much. MOMS when I was growing up wouldn't have ever been caught dead with a belly ring. Not judging anybody. This was just weird to read😂
@NOTRUMPZONE curious how old your mom is! I'm 42 and when my kids were younger their friends thought I was the cool mom for having piercing and tattoos but the moms didnt like me so much because of it. I was a respected veterinarian in my city but at 22 decided I wanted to be a piercer on the side. The stigma never made sense to me 😅 Labcoat on, normal. Labcoat off, heathen mom.
Migration can often happen without rejection. A lot of people have migration in bellybutton piercings, and a few people I know have had tongue piercing migrations.
Yes I was goin to say the same thing it can migrate but not reject and stay that way forever and yes I hav also heard the belly button can migrate but not reject
can the belly button piercing migrate than stop and not be rejecting? my piercing has migrated a little but i don’t have any other symptoms of rejection it seems fully healed but the skin is a little smaller than when i first got it done
I had to say goodbye to my daith today. I’d had it done for about 3 years and suspected it was migrating but also thought I could be paranoid because I’ve never experienced it before. So I went to my piercer and her initial reaction was woah, what’s going on with your daith!? I was pretty devastated but knew I should take my piercers advice and I let her take it out 😞
I think my navel piercing is migrating, and getting close to rejecting. I got it six months ago, and now the skin it is pierced through is so thin that i can see the metal through the skin. I’m going back to piercer tomorrow, and i think they’ll tell me to take it out, which i’m okay with. But like, it’s much money wasted so that’s annoying as fuck. I was never sure if the piercing suited me anyway and it never even healed so it’s just been a hazzle.
me too but i got it pierced last week and i can feel the jewelry a lot against the skin but i don’t see it yet. im really hoping it’s just the swelling that went down because i spent so much money and really like the way it looks on me.
I had my tragus done twice and both times it migrated 😔 I've got my conch and helix with no issues. I really want to get my daith and forward helix but I'm scared of migration or rejection
My forward helix rejected after two months (vitamin E oil is a life saver) and my tragus then began to migrate (I'd had that for a year) and thus I had to take it out. However, I have been told by my piercer that this doesn't mean I have to stop getting piercings, just not ones prone to rejection (ie: daith or snug). I've managed to keep my rook and am planning on getting my conch next. Both go through much thicker cartilage, so here's hoping my body doesn't do that to me again!!! I was advised that if the piercing site begins to look purple, that is the jewellery showing through and means the piercing is on its way out. Xx
The thing about getting pierced with a larger gauge is a common thing with piercers called the cheese cutter effect. Everyday where and if your body is trying to push it out a smaller gauge causes less resistance like cutting cheese with a wire, the larger the gauge the slower that would be making the piercing more stable. Think of older women and the dangling earrings that make a slit over time.
I just took my rook piercing out today after having it for a month and noticed that it was rejecting. I wish I would have gone on instinct sooner to remove it to avoid scarring because I want to get it re-pierced :/
My nose and helix piercings are so weird because they still hurt/are sensitive eventhough I‘ve had them for over a year(helix) and 3 months(nose). They aren‘t rejecting, they just hurt and the nose also has a little bump
janina buerchler a lot of nose piercings can get a little bump. It may be filled with a little puss. Get it checked out. And I always used saline spray to calm my piercings when they would get sore. It also might be the type of jewelry
I changed my nostril stud to a hoop (I would call it an open hoop-wasn’t a full circle) and it was being pushed out. I went to my piercer and had to get it re-done.
Idk if mine is migrating or rejecting😢 the holes are getting smaller and shorter it’s not hurting or anything but I can see the bottom of the ring longer it’s more visible now. Should I buy a gold ring and replace it since the ring I have now is fake?? Or just take it out☹️☹️
I have a double helix and I think only one if them could be migrating? (Its been incredibly angry at me all the time. And i’m not sure if i slept on it and it healed wonky or if its rejecting) Is it possible for only one to migrate even if they are so close to each other and were done at the same time?
This is the 2nd time I've had my eyebrow pierced, and it's just not happy. The bottom hole is slightly raised and red. It seems it's also a little lower than we originally pierced it. I really don't want to say goodbye to it, it's kind of a staple for me but. It might have to go :(
I had to take out my vertical tragus some years ago. I loved it too much to let go until the very end, not knowing what was truly happening, and I have a tiny scar to show for it. Oh yeah, and both my daith piercings earlier this year. They were both pierced too shallow 😞
I had my Industrial done three months ago and then I got pregnant with my second. Since I am pregnant and my piercing was still new, it rejected. Odd thing? Didn't hurt at all and my ear healed in one week. Crazy.
I recently got my bridge piercing done and it’s been 3 weeks already and I don’t have any pain or soreness but I’m scared it’s rejecting because my nose is peeling a bit.. I really wanna talk to a professional, I don’t know I feel like I might be overthinking it but it’s better if I go to a professional and ask what’s going on
My forward helix literally just fell out of my ear? Idk but I’m gonna have it checked out by the piercer tomorrow. I’m so confused, it was fully healed and always looked really good on my ear.
Omg me too. I’m so confused because it looked normal then the next day it was holding on a thread of my skin and it was about to fall out, what should I do?
@@emilywilks9611 maybe try hydrogen peroxide (3%) it helped me a lot Also try to not sleep on the side you have the helix If that won't help, take it out, it's for your best
I had to give up on eyebrow piercings after the second attempt started migrating as well. I just took it out, I knew there was a chance of it rejecting when I got it done.

I had an eyebrow ring reject waited a year and got i redone a little wider and it held. 8 years later its starting to migrate. Holes are slow getting closer. Changing to different type to see what happens. It seems to have alot of crust or scab on bottom hole and that hole it sore and getting wider
Trying to work out what's wrong with my industrial right now. As soon as you said "see it up against the skin" I immediately realised that my body is rejecting it.. Lovely- It might be because it's pierced in the wrong place, the bottom hole is halfway down my ear. Don't think it's ment to be there.
Same here I finally was able to tell what was wrong with mine for some reason they dont talk often about industrial can also reject and migraine, I'm gonna let it heal and re pierce the side that reject🙁.

I did get a septum pearsing about a month ago and it healed very well it didn't hurt anymore swelling of my was gone, but then bumps started to appear and on the one side of my septum pearsing skin has grown over my pearsing so that has pushed my septum pearsing a little to the front of my nose, but my septum pearsing still doesn't hurt or any type of soreness....one the other side of my septum pearsing the bump is a little bigger....so is my septum pearsing rejecting itself do you think i should take it out....because when i pears my cartilage it healed also very well then bumps appeared an then i decided to take it out and put in tin jewellery and the the bumps disappeared a week after that. Do you think i should try with my septum the same thing or just go to the pearser?
here is the thing, i got my ears pierced just because i wanted to and it was my first piercing. and i used the after care for a week and eventually i just said screw it because i’m lazy and stopped and it was fine but then now like a year and 7 months later my right ear is in early stages of rejection sadly but it is my fault for not taking care of it, i might try a different material like you said but if it does reject it oh well i’ll get it repierced
my daith piercing keeps getting a red bump on it, and i clean it 3 times a day and ive had it for 2 months, when it started it would heal and then a week later it would reappear and REPEAT its been happening for the past monthhh. I cant tell if its rejecting?? its so aggravating!!!!!!

Hi! I know this is old but I’ve had my daith pierced for a couple years now and it’s just a sensitive area for me. I can no longer sleep on that side of my head bc it will get super angry at me. You just may be the same! Train yourself to sleep on the opposite side or on your back and clean it regularly like once or twice a day!
Please help me! I got a thoart dermal yesterday and it was quick and little to no pain, but my skin is like eating the piercing , I guess I picked a dermal that was to small . I feel no pain and their is no signs of infection but the piercing is under my skin , I don’t know what to do I don’t want to fuck it up by trying to pull it on top , no shapes are open all of a sudden :((( what to do
The first time I had my belly pierced it rejected I think and now I think it migrating or rejecting again or it might even be infected but I only got it redone on the 23rd of December. But they went through the scar from the last one and I can’t even go to a piercing place bc of the virus so idk what to do ?????
Can this happen to ears? My right ear would not have it when i got my ears pierced it happened 2 times my right ear would bleed and this weird stuff would come out of it and its red and hurts i cleaned them properly but its always my right ear i currently have it removed to stop it from bleeding and such but im afraid it'll close! I pierced with sterling silver and my current ones are so its not the metal
Hi i know I’m way to late but I wanted to ask something. So my belly button has obviously migrated a bit you can see less skin on the jewelry and a small scar from where it was before. Yet I noticed that it stopped? It didn’t move or migrate any further for the past two months and it feels like it’s almost healed?
My Tragus piercing started to migrate out but then it healed and has been fine for 3 years now. I also had my forward helix pierced and that migrated and rejected out. I got it repierced and it migrated a little bit but now it’s healed and doesn’t hurt at all. I was even able to change the jewelry and it’s been fine.
I got my industrial done in my ear. The back is fine. The front feels shallow? Like i dont see the bar but its red. Granted its only 2 weeks old and they said itd take 6 months to a year to heal, but i am waiting it out a week bc i think im going to have to remove it. I have a few piercings and while my nose and tongue are fine, i did learn my body hate lip. So im thinking its the same deal with my industrial. Shit sucks lol
This literally just happened to my tragus.....had it for years and when I decided to take the jewellery out the skin was already too stretched out and split 😢
What if I had it for 5 days Lmfao I’m confused if it’s swelling or rejecting I had a eyebrow piercing for 4 years and removed it mirgrating what I have now is a bridge piercing
It’s only with the studs my body does this we thought it was just like a metal allergy you know because I do have a metal allergy to nickel but we’ve tried with other jewellery like metals and stuff. It doesn’t matter if it’s cold it doesn’t matter if it’s surgical steel, it doesn’t matter. If it’s titanium it doesn’t matter doesn’t matter doesn’t matter doesn’t matter literally does not matter what the stud is made out of my body says fuck, no goodbye I don’t care. I don’t want it don’t need it, and I refuse I refuse to you. I refuse to be happy, piercing goodbye, and it’s just every time every time I wear studs every time every time even lobes helixes. Conch piercing my nose just refuse, refuses to accept studs doesn’t matter what the piercing is it just refuses to accept studs excepts curved barbell I do great with that and hoops and that’s it. It’s a really weird rare case. An occasion we don’t know why my mom’s body does that as well but me and my mom and and piercers they don’t understand why my body does that lead I don’t know what why my body decides to do that we don’t know it’s just we can’t even explain it so it’s really sad.
I've been noticing my rook migrating further outward....time to take it out. I will definitely miss it :< hopefully i can get it redone if anything. If not....it is ok.
I pierced my lip about a month ago myself, I used one of the rings you get at piercing shops. I think it’s starting to migrate but I can’t tell. It moved down a bit and it’s worrying me. Should I take it out?
@@lexxisnavely6044 no I actually took it out because the hole got massive on the Inside of my mouth. It's healed over now and it's nothing but a small scar.
My nipple piercings were migrating and because thats never happened to me before, I didn’t even realize it was happening. Until one day i looked at them and could see the bar through my whole nipple. So I took them out before the scarring would be horrendous. But tbh im glad I took them out bc they would never heal and now I can put on bras and wash my body with ease😂😂😂

Idk if mine is but all ik is I took it out and iv been crying Bc ion wanna keep it in and idk what’s going on
here is the thing, i got my ears pierced just because i wanted to and it was my first piercing. and i used the after care for a week and eventually i just said screw it because i’m lazy and stopped and it was fine but then now like a year and 7 months later my right ear is in early stages of rejection sadly but it is my fault for not taking care of it, i might try a different material like you said but if it does reject it oh well i’ll get it repierced
the first night i’ve had my nose piercing and when i woke up it was sticking all the way out other than the barb, what should i do? please help
my daith piercing keeps getting a red bump on it, and i clean it 3 times a day and ive had it for 2 months, when it started it would heal and then a week later it would reappear and REPEAT its been happening for the past monthhh. I cant tell if its rejecting?? its so aggravating!!!!!!
You might be cleaning it too often. Three times a day sounds a little aggressive.
@@kassidyjordan5904 i originally started with day and night but thats when it started happening, I read somewhere to keep cleaning it so i started three times. :( ill be switching back to morning and night thank you!! i hope it stops being a pain in the ass!
@@KarinaGonzalez-ch6ju I'm happy to help! Maybe you could also try tea tree oil (diluted) on it and see if that helps any.
Literally same thing happened/is happening to me
Can this happen to ears?
One of My back dermals are being kind of weird and I don’t know what to do but i want to keep it so bad
what did you do
I’m in this situation rn😭
I don’t wanna take it out😭😭😭
Does it bleed when migrate
Im getting a bridge and vertical labret piercing and now im scared lol. Also I've been stretching my ear and it has redness
how has it been?
I pierced my belly last year, so far its fine and totally healed but is there a chance to be rejected in the future? 😅
Yes there is
Was there an earthquake in your video? It starts at 2:14

My rook piercing has rejected and I’m sad
mine just did the same it just literally fell out of my ear :( I loved my rook piercing
Ginger Christmas like I cried so much I have a big scar now
@@briannaleeromero225 mine got rejected after 11 months. I accidently ripped it out after the shower! Healed up pretty well. I had a flat done instead
Well I’m going to my piercer if it is I’ll try the bio oil and say bye to the scar I’m sad but it’s ok
This literally just happened to my tragus.....had it for years and when I decided to take the jewellery out the skin was already too stretched out and split 😢
im sorry :( how is it now ?
my bridge is kind red and crusts should i take it out ?
What if I had it for 5 days Lmfao I’m confused if it’s swelling or rejecting I had a eyebrow piercing for 4 years and removed it mirgrating what I have now is a bridge piercing
How is your bridge now did it reject I got mine 3 days ago and I am worried because now it’s swollen and I can see the bar thru my skin
Do you still have the piercing? I’m worried mine is doing the same
@@lexxisnavely6044 no I actually took it out because the hole got massive on the Inside of my mouth. It's healed over now and it's nothing but a small scar.
Belly and second lobes rejected for me first time
I had to take my belly piercing out :((
My nipple piercings were migrating and because thats never happened to me before, I didn’t even realize it was happening. Until one day i looked at them and could see the bar through my whole nipple. So I took them out before the scarring would be horrendous. But tbh im glad I took them out bc they would never heal and now I can put on bras and wash my body with ease😂😂😂
When can I change my industrial piercing?
I’ve had it for 3 months now
Cartilage usually takes 4-9 months minimum but ask your piercer! :3
Hey I have an industrial And mine wasnt healing with the 12g bar so I downsized about a month after with 2 short bars and abt 7 months after I put in a new bar...the darn thing still ain't heeled yet and it is abt 8 or 9 months now anyway..I would say one u can turn it without pain just make sure to clean the bar before changing it..
Can a septum piercing reject/migrate?

My bellybotton piercing god rejected TWICE!!

She doesn’t pronounce any word that ends in ing right . Piercin, migratin , annoying
Guess you’ve never heard of a dialect?
“Spiritual morning” but youre calling someone annoying for how they talk 😭
Anyone else notice, she sounds like she's protecting a fresh tongue piercing even though the only holes in her mouth is the natural one? Lmao
