Right now Google has Samsung manufacturing the Tensor chips. But next year for the Tensor G5, TSMC will be making the Tensor chips. This should be a higher improvement.
Bezels mean nothing, every phone has big bezels if you throw a glass screen protector and a UAG case on it. I'd sacrifice thin bezels for a 120hz display.
I have saw the review of pixel 8a and it is not justifying his price tag which is 52,999 in India and does not have one proper space to say that it is a toned down version of pixel 8
yeah pixel got this but as a overall device 8a is too worse than it's competitors. Obviously iphone 15 isn't it's compatitor. Google should really invest on hardware 😢
Both phones both have two borderline criminal qualities and they both relate to the displays. Apple giving you a 60hz display in 2024 is absolutely ridiculous. To be fair they always feel faster and more responsive than 60hz displays on Android phones, but with how well the scrolling and overall use the UI is, they could make them feel even better if they opted to 90hz on the standard, or boosted the base model up to 120hz and have the iPhone Pro a 144hz refresh rate. Either way apple prides themselves on the newest and most innovative tech and yet despite the base models becoming more and more popular, they constantly fail to give the customers what they WANT. Pixel 8a being boosted to 120hz is great but the bezels .... Honor is making £190 phones with bezels that compete with the S24 range and yet google seems to be going the opposite way, incteasing them even more each year. If it was an LCD screen then I suppose it would be forgivable but its an OLED.... come on now
I have an 8a. I believe Google underclocked the tensor g3 on this model so that it would fit the the price range and not make the 8 look bad. I’m okay with it! I love it so far. I kept my iPhone and will be switching between the two!
I wouldn't buy either of these! One has horrible bezels, totally unacceptable for 2024 no matter the price and the other has 60Hz which is also totally unacceptable when even budget $200 phones have at least 90Hz today and some already 120Hz! I'd buy the Oneplus 12 for 650 that's a MUCH better deal.

Right now Google has Samsung manufacturing the Tensor chips. But next year for the Tensor G5, TSMC will be making the Tensor chips. This should be a higher improvement.
why do I see the difference in 60 vs 120hz on a 60fps video
Smoother frame rate on 60fps makes it easier to see
A16 is better I think
Bur for 499 I think the pixel is the best deal 👍
Bezels mean nothing, every phone has big bezels if you throw a glass screen protector and a UAG case on it. I'd sacrifice thin bezels for a 120hz display.
The 8a here in Canada is almost $700! Ouch!
$700 CA or US? Both still a pain in the a**…
That is a definite No
Why didn’t you do a WiFi test
so, considering Google is HALF the price, it seems to be unquestionably, irrefutably the better value.
I have saw the review of pixel 8a and it is not justifying his price tag which is 52,999 in India and does not have one proper space to say that it is a toned down version of pixel 8
8a vs s23 in vídeo performance
and pls guys in The comments who is The Best?
S23
I feel unlike apple, google and samsung can throw phones very cheap and with deals bc thats not their main source of revenue
Yes Samsung is very diversified and Google is more a software company
yeah pixel got this but as a overall device 8a is too worse than it's competitors. Obviously iphone 15 isn't it's compatitor. Google should really invest on hardware 😢
Although the iPhone 15 only supports 60hz, the animation and software are much smoother than the pixel, the pixel is too laggy.
Exactly !
Pixel 8a being boosted to 120hz is great but the bezels
.... Honor is making £190 phones with bezels that compete with the S24 range and yet google seems to be going the opposite way, incteasing them even more each year. If it was an LCD screen then I suppose it would be forgivable but its an OLED.... come on now
The bezels don’t bother me at all
The pixel is very tempting but I am still scared of the issues people have been reporting online. Maybe will get it for android development.
Same same!!
Havent seen a bezel like that since 2015
I haven't read such a stupid comment since 2009
@elestra1504 enjoy your budget ass poor man's phone, bro.
google pixel 8a or used iphone 13 pro?
That's the true, the pixel 8a is the mid range killer 💪
I have an 8a. I believe Google underclocked the tensor g3 on this model so that it would fit the the price range and not make the 8 look bad. I’m okay with it! I love it so far. I kept my iPhone and will be switching between the two!
I will check into that by testing it against the 8 pro
@@nickackermanchannel Thank you! I don’t think it’s confirmed, just my suspicion!
New iPad Pro coming in today. I’m so excited lol
60hz vs 120hz
Siri vs Google
$799 vs $499
Better processor vs slightly worse processor.
Camera subjective
Is the iPhone 15 $300.00 better?
60
I love google apps and google
I wouldn't buy either of these! One has horrible bezels, totally unacceptable for 2024 no matter the price and the other has 60Hz which is also totally unacceptable when even budget $200 phones have at least 90Hz today and some already 120Hz! I'd buy the Oneplus 12 for 650 that's a MUCH better deal.
