Just reiterating that this doesn't work. Not only are the steps to get to the APN settings wrong (on Android 13/Pixel 7, at least), the provided settings don't work. Setting MNC to 260 and saving deletes the whole access point entry and forces you to start over. Changing the MNC to 240 as another comment mentioned allows the configuration to save but is still wrong for me. This allows data service on LTE, but as soon as 5G or 5G UC are detected, it hops over to that, data connection is lost and the "!" goes up, and then switching back to LTE doesn't restore service. Having to set this all manually is user-unfriendly enough; but having official instructions be unusable without manual intervention / calling in to customer service is really not inspiring confidence. I get it that cost-savings have to come from somewhere, but forcing users to guess/tweak APN settings from "found" info online or getting individually tailored settings from customer service is not A-OK in my opinion. This really isn't something that should need to be monitored or even known about for a typical user. This may be a very short stay in Mint-land for me.

Hello, I use the Pixel 7 and I was having issues saving the APN. There's one fix that worked for me. Disable the Automatically select network option BEFORE setting up the APN and it should save. Also disable adaptive connectivity, it'll give you issues after saving the APN. One more thing if you have done all of this and still find the 5G dropping at random times, just switch it to LTE. You'll stop having issues.
Lot of complaining from supposed adults here. This is the most minimal amount of tweaking I've ever had to do on a digital device. Get your attention issues sorted out and just type in a few numbers. You don't have to hook it up to a computer. You dont have to run some app or change some text files. You don't need it to remotely connect to some server you have to wait for an ota for. You manually put in some numbers into a phone. Seriously, you've all allowed a handful of corporations to basically run the world because you want things so simple you dont have to think at all.
I do all this, but I can only use the 2g, Everytime I try to go to 3g, then 4g, then finally 5g it wont connect, Would it be the LTE? As well I cannot seem to connect to calls
Found the EASIEST workaround!!! After hours of trying to setup the APN myself. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings This just erases all saved Bluetooth, wifi and mobile networks. Nothing else will be erased. Once everything is reset, open your Access Points and there will be a few T-Mobile networks that pop up. The one that was automatically selected for me is T-Mobile US LTE. Everything works perfect now - incoming/outgoing calls, mms, texts, internet.
