a very rubbish & smalll studio (flat) in outer London parts is minimum £800a month. a 3 bed in same area is £400k minimum.
However, a mortgage on said house is cheaper than the rent would be. only problem is getting the £40- 50k deposit.

India lost to China, they can’t compete with the low price of agricultural products that are exported by China. That’s probably why the PM needed to lower the prices, but that’s not fair cause Chinese government could control the production and prices without too much reaction & pressures from the farmers and workers.

lets be honest, small farm holdings are not viable in modern world. probably every country has had to confront this problem at some point in time.
but farmers need to have a govt backed minimum product price or it will be a race to the bottom
They conveniently forget to mention that lower food prices will make life easier for Indians buying food and that floating crop prices can create more competition and innovation than government purchases at fixed rates. Plus, a higher percentage of the final food price will go to farmers, meaning the benefits to those buying food will stay the same but the loss to farmers will be mitigated or even non-existent. These protests are just a story of a group who unduly benefited by government policies whining when those policies were repealed. Notice that it's specifically the Punjab region protesting as most of the wheat they farm is bought by the government above market rates, while other farmers in other industries who don't sell at minimum support prices stand to benefit.
Modi is corrupt. He is lining his friends pockets who will be in charge of the food supplies and they are removing legal recourse. Farmers are not in charge of their own land with this bill. They should be free to sell it to whom they want, not be at the mercy of modi friends. Food prices have already gone up

It's a beautiful relationship btw man and earth. This is a science which even the scientist can't understand. Only a farmer can understand that we don't even care. When such a farmer commits suicide that has just become a casual news in daily newspaper we don't even understand the loss that occurs when a farmer dies.
The number of cultivators is coming down and the number of food consumer is rising. Hence, along with the price hikes in the market, adulteration is also on the rise. If this continues similarly, the wealth you'd give your children in the future..... Won't be enough even for their hospital expenses.
Price of land is growing and the value of farmer is coming down. If we go on constructing building as the price of land is growing. What will we eat to live. That's why, no farmer wishes to make his son farmer. Already, our generation doesn't know what agriculture is. The future generations will see agriculture only in history books.
The farmer once used to live with courage but now, the same farmer is living in fear.
He is scared to sow a crop not knowing if he'd have enough water. If there is water, he is scared if he can reap the crop. If he reaps it, he is scared how to protect it.
With the same fear, he's selling off his crops at a throwaway price. The buyer is selling the same for ten times the buying price in the market.
So, the person who grows food is losing..... The food consumer... that's us.

Only Punjab sees 90 percent procurement with the highest subsidies from center, whereas the national average is 6 percent procurement and 94 percent private buyers.
