The kids growing up with these tutorials are so lucky. I'm 29 and Mitchie is opening a world of understanding the mechanics of skateboarding that I never had before. Truly masterclass tutorials.
Finally! A kickflip video! I just got back into skateboarding in May at 37, after being off my board for over 15 years. Which is very frustrating because I used to be able to kickflip a 10 stair, and now here I am trying to relearn kickflips and having a hard time. Sometimes I can get them to pop and flip perfectly, but most of the time they're terrible and they turn a little bit. So I'm glad you posted this. It's been so frustrating...
Amazing as usual. And as usual, this episode was not just about learning kickflip but more about learning fundamentals of skateboarding. I can consitently do a nice heelflip but when I am trying kickflip, my front foot feels like it's glued to the board. So because of that, when I attempt to flick, I just push the board far in front of me, it really looks comical lol.
Lost me at manual in kick flip position 😆. Going to stick to heelflips I guess. If anyone yells "dona kick flip" I'll just hope they don't know what I just did was a heel flip lol
I'm just going to ask this before watching: will this information transfer to heelflips? Kickflips just don't make sense kicking behind me and heelflips make more sense and come easier. I'll still watch this as maybe something will help kickflips click with my brain
Flicking is to your side, not like a mule kick at all. If you really wanna learn heelflips first, what I did (many years ago) was just stand on the edge of the sidewalk and flick, and jump into the grass to land it. (Hint: Try every foot positioning combination.) Then I learned them rolling and keeping them more under me. I'd say kickflips are more rewarding, though. But I wouldn't know how to articulate why. Maybe because they're a little harder than heelflips to learn, but they feel really easy once you learn them. Heelflipping in and out of stuff also happens a little bit less often. Kickflips are just pretty standard, but you can keep working on them for a while getting them better and over different obstacles. For either one, you'll have to use your ankle to flick. Pause a really nice flatground kickflip from a line on a video (or from this video) and run it frame by frame, and look at the persons feet. Good luck!

@Abudi-c4p Unc is crazy 😂 but I accept it, I'll probably never be as good as new kids, but I'll keep grinding 💯 💪🏽 lol
@@shingobiggs4963 if you cant beat them join them
29 here too! It's never too late to get consistent goodlookin kickflip.
@ford1381 Yessir! Let's prove to these new kids we still got it! 😂🤙🏽
I've never seen a class treat a sub with this much respect. You should have this guy on as a regular.
Mitchie casually and sneaky switching between regular and goofy is a pretty relaxing watch, just like one of those lava lamps.
I'll see you guys in 60 days.

Lesson eight is the most powerful one from all of them.
Merry Christmas!

I wonder whether Mitchie got a skate IQ board design color to match his favorite pair of NB, or if he got some NB to match his board color.

Skate IQ is perfect for my low IQ
Dose anyone know the name or details of the deck he is using? I'd love to find out more about it. Thanks!

I can't kick flip and I can heel flip so I'll say no. I treat heel flip as a late flip as in ollie, level and kick out front.
I don’t see why this wouldn’t translate. Most of the video doesn’t even talk about the flick

@haroldcampos9661 I mule kick and do them well.
@@googleuser298 You mean those kickflips that you use the bottom of your shoe only? I like those but they're not a real kickflip lol.
