Wow! That plane is unbelievably capable, but TBH, it wouldn't look like that in my hands! I thought I was an intermediate level pilot until I watched this video. Incredible flying brother! Just subscribed due to your flying skills! Just wow!
Thank you for your comments and especially for your sub! For such a low cost and seemingly ho hum plane it is one of the best flying planes in the E-flite lineup. Not only that but you can put a set of floats on it and fly from the water or snow.
this has been my goto plane since I got it a year ago. It is a delight to fly, easy to land and handles the wind quite nicely. As another commenter stated herein, I will always have one in my hanger. I suspect Eflite will keep this plane around a long time and maybe even update it. BTW it flies a little nicer on a 3S 1800 but I really like a 4S 1800. I have a brand new Hanger 9 10CC Valiant waiting for Hurricane Ian to exit Florida.
Hi Thomas. I'm hoping you survive Ian without issues. I have the Valiant 10cc on my wish list and will most likely order one once they are back in stock.
Awesome flying! You showing what this plane can do and the ability to put bigger tires on it and turn it into a STOL plane, makes this one of the best most under rated plane ever. It was my first plane bigger than a UMX. It flys better than most every plane I've bought since.
Thanks and I agree that the Valiant is the most under rated plane in the E-flite lineup. The Timber series seems to be all the rage but the Valiant flies better than any of them.
@@michaelclinerc3211 awesome to hear, I've ordered one and the floats, looking forward to trying it out. I will look into doing a bush plane mod to the wheels as well, just because I'll be taking off from sand or water. Thanks for the feedback.
Nice flying. I love my Valiant. Crashed it on maiden, flew into a power line. Fixed it and its still flying, but I went ahead and ordered another one so I have a fresh one on standby. I fly it on floats off my local pond now.
That looks like fun. I kind of have a soft spot for sporty high wings. Didn’t care for the Turbo Timber, was thinking about Decathlon, but I think this might be a better fit for my personal preferences.
You fly it so smooth! It is an excellent plane but no lights and it doesn’t do longer grass without tipping over to much on the ground. To me the Maule M7 is even better.
I haven't found a way to do a good snap roll with the Valiant. I'm doing the same stick input as my other planes but it just turns into a sluggish roll. Any suggestions?
I couldn't get a decent snap roll with it until I mechanically maxed out the control surface throw. I takes a split second to wind up but once it gets snapping it rotates quickly.
As the old song sings, Nice Nice Very Nice. Question for you Bro. When was the last time you augered a plane in? Do you even remember? Great flying as per your usual.
Thanks Bro! When was the last time I augered one in... how about this past Wednesday evening. :0 I unintentionally tried to fly through the cattails at the end of our field. It wasn't pretty. :b
Loved the flight, made me order this plane, I’m just hoping you still respond to comments. Been helis only since 2017. Just tried the Umx turbo timber evo and now I’m hooked. This plane runs on my fusion 360 batteries so that’s a plus. it will be here in a few days. Did you hook up the linkages for max surface throw/deflection? Not sure of the proper term here. Any mods? That flight was so smooth, I’d like mine to be set up like yours.
Thanks Ryan! Yes, I did mechanically max out the control throw on all control surfaces but otherwise everything else is stock. The Valiant is such a nice flying plane and I know you will enjoy it.
@michaelclinerc3211 - I'd love to see how you set a plane up, please. What CG you choose, mainly. I know you generally max out the throw on the surfaces and in the transmitter, but I'm curious as to whether you have a plane slightly nose heavy, or have the CG as far aft as possible etc.
No rudder to aileron mixing. I always manually input rudder and elevator while rolling. To be honest the Valiant doesn’t need a lot of input as it rolls very nice, especially for a high wing.
Hi Nemesis. I have the control rods moved to the innermost hole on each control surface control horn to maximum the mechanical control throws. Thanks for watching!
I couldn't agree more Rob. I've had a Valiant in the hangar since they first came out and I've probably got as many (or more) flights on the Valiant with floats than with the regular landing gear. Just a great plane to fly.
Buck for buck it’s the best rc plane, all brands considered. Missing a top hatch, and maybe a quicker system to remove the wing but thing could make the price rise significantly.
Hi Mike, thanks for watching my video. I agree the bottom loading battery is not ideal but how it performs in the air more than makes up for that minor inconvenience. For a high wing sport plane it flies more like a fine tuned pattern plane without any bad habits. As far as grass field operations I really haven't had any issues flying it off moderately long grass even with the wheel pants on it.
Awesomely awesome flying mate!! My style of flying. Fly on the edge, or fly it like you just don't care about crashing. Just got one at an rc swap meet last weekend. I finished setting it up today. Have the same size battery as you. How much flight time do you get on that battery? Gonna trim fly mine 2morrow, then fly the living daylights out of it😆
@michaelclinerc3211 cool beans, thanks. Will set my timer. I'm newbie on electric planes, but flown fast nitro planes all my life. Keep up the great flying.
You sir are an incredibly gifted pilot! Very nice flying!
Thanks SDUTEFAN! I really appreciate your watching my video.

As usual...another "master class" in RC flying. As I slowly gain my flying skills, I also gain even more respect for yours.
Thanks gmorphan! I appreciate that you watch my videos. It sounds like you're making progress. Great Job!
I'm always excited to see you have uploaded another video! I marvel at your abilities! I'm still in my crash and learn phase!!!
Thanks Steve! Keep practicing and you'll be flying like me in no time.
Your flying the stickers off that thing man!
Thanks Dave! I was giving it my best shot. ;)

@@michaelclinerc3211 agreed 100% have Turbo Timber, Night Timber and Valiant is still my go to relaxed flier.
I know this is an old video, but wow, your piloting is first rate!
Thank you very much Jon! But really the Valiant is a great flying plane.

Nice flight Michael! So many people said they love this one, and I can see why. It's a very unassuming looking plane, but wow it flies great👍
Thanks Tom! It's definitely not the most flashy plane E-flite makes but boy does it fly nice.
Your an Aerobatic ARTIST!!!!!1..... so pleasing to watch you fly ......TY for posting...👍Lee
Thanks Lee! I appreciate you comments and also for watching my video.
Amazing flying as usual. I just got this model the other day. Since I'm in the wrecking business it will remain in my "too pretty" to fly hanger.
Thanks R.! It flies really gentle with the stock control throws and with SAFE it really is an easy airplane to fly. I say give it a shot.
Nice flying. I love my Valiant. Crashed it on maiden, flew into a power line. Fixed it and its still flying, but I went ahead and ordered another one so I have a fresh one on standby. I fly it on floats off my local pond now.
The Valiant is my favorite floatplane. It does very well on the recommended floats.
That looks like fun. I kind of have a soft spot for sporty high wings. Didn’t care for the Turbo Timber, was thinking about Decathlon, but I think this might be a better fit for my personal preferences.
I hope you enjoy it if you get one. It's a very fun plane to fly.
Awesome flying!
Thanks williamhoodtn!
Great plane... Greater pilot!!!!
Thanks dutchlove! I appreciate your comment!
Great video and flight!
Thanks, I enjoyed that.
Thanks Blademan01!
You sir are a heck of a pilot. I always go to your channel to find out what a plane can actually do.
Thank you very much for your kind words. I appreciate it and also I appreciate you taking the time to watch my videos.

I've never flown the Maule and lights would be cool but boy does the Valiant ever fly so nice.
@@michaelclinerc3211 It does! But you should really try the Maule!
Nice flight
Thanks John!

I have my sights on this for my next plane..
Of all the planes in the E-flite lineup the Valiant and the Commander are my two favorites.
I’m flying the Valiant with the cg at the forward end of the cg range. It’s not a 3D plane so I’m not concerned with it being neutral.
You are a really great pilot! Does it have any bad tendencies? How is tip stall when turning at slow speed?
The Valiant is one of the most well behaved planes in the E-flite line up. It is very docile at slow speed.
are you using any aileron-rudder mix to get those nice rolls? if so, how much if you don't mind me asking.
No rudder to aileron mixing. I always manually input rudder and elevator while rolling. To be honest the Valiant doesn’t need a lot of input as it rolls very nice, especially for a high wing.
Just wondering what’s your setup on the Valiant sure it’s not the manual recommended.
Hi Nemesis. I have the control rods moved to the innermost hole on each control surface control horn to maximum the mechanical control throws. Thanks for watching!
I have mine upgrade with a power 10, ,40amp esc, and the flaps to aileron mix and it is even a better plane. Will hover easily and way more capable
Wow! It must really rip along nicely on the power 10!
Still on 3S? This plane amazes me what it'll do on 3s
Fantastic plane, flies great, lands easy, and always fun to fly, light and durable provided you don't beat it up! 😃

My valiant still won't fly like that... Lol 🤠👍🏻
I sold the one in that video last summer but now I’m wishing I still had it. Time to order another.
Loading the battery from the bottom is not good. Not being able to fly off grass. It is not the best E flite plane

Turbo timber is better imo
It's seems so quiet
I had it in stealth mode. ;)
2 THINGS
1. Plane is to be landed on a scale width strip
2.Plane's performance is judged based on unlimited & controlled 4 points roles vertically
