Maybe you have covered it on another video, is “classic CrossFit methodology” the best way to train for CrossFit competition? I’m assuming “classic” is the 1h WOD
This entirely depends on your skill, abilities and training background. According to our data, training in a more hybrid style where strength is separated from metcons yields the best results in overall fitness - ruclips.net/video/WvvNpNPnuGc/видео.htmlsi=Cx6KOuEd10-0NF1c
The progressive overload with Emom and with the same workout every week i think is not effective in terms of variety , as well as from the athlete's psychology point of view. Karen time in 4 minutes I think is not possible. I like the scientific approach!
I agree that including only EMOMs is going to be boring and very hard too. That is why - and I forgot to mention this in the video - I suggest including them a couple of times per week only, NEXT to your normal strenght sessions and for time workouts. Just add EMOMs to ensure progressive overload.
its not only from variety perspective and psychology , but the demands of sport of fitness(aka CrossFit) that force us to be very good at different exercises . A better way is to mix pattern rather than movements, like pull pattern(pull ups, toes to bar ,rope climb), push pattern (strict hasp, kipping hasp, wall walks),hinge, squat, core
