yeah that added maneuverability is incredible, first thing you notice on it compared to the C, kinda tells you alot about other people(wont name any..names.) calling it a whale/brick(which it can be at slow speeds) just cause it says "phantom" on the stat card lol. In one way its still a phantom though it still accelerates fast as fuck and catches people still even if its the slowest of the phantoms. I hope they fix the model though the "agile eagle" slats deployed nothing like they deploy in the current model, should look kinda like how the a5 sabre slats deploy or the bf 109 slats, but thats just a minor gripe.
Thank you for the flare key bind tip. Heres one for you, you can switch the radar to boresight and it will automatically try to lock up anything 9km inside your bigger missle ring. Sometimes it goes dumb and locks a teammate or something but hitting the lock target key resets it. Love the content, really love the f4e, its the only jet ive bothered to expert so far.

Oh my lord thank you so much for this. Got the F-4E the other day and have been struggling, but after watching this I realized I was flying it all wrong and have been having really decent games despite being pretty much stock besides the flares. I seriously can't thank you enough.

Btw...Imo it’s not performing according to the stat card.
As you said, it’s the slowest Phantom variant and my Mig21MF seems to surpass it in climb rate despite significant differences with missiles equipped.
It would be cool to see you test the two side by side as I could be wrong.

I unlocked the FGR 2 a couple of days ago (my first 10.3) and was getting fucking hammered the first 10-15-20 games. After that though it began to click way more. Now I actually manage to barrel roll away from missile locks as well as getting a few kills per game. It's actually kind of satisfying to dodge, even tho you mostly dont.
Thanks Whooptiedo, keeping us up to date everyday on why or we should care about top tier. Keeps me having goals to try out and tips to actually give a crap about top tier.
flares work as intended, they arent meant to be used alone, great video
In 1965 flew the first prototype of F-4E. F-4E got slats in year 1972/1973.
Just triggered because Navy never had Es--their Fighter Weapons School/Top Gun program proved they didn't need internal cannons. They ended up getting more air-to-air kills with just missiles than the Air Force did with both cannon and gun in Vietnam.
The crucial difference was that Navy focused on training their pilots how to use the Sidewinder and Sparrow, and the proper maintenance of these weapons by crews. Air Force went for the bandaid solution.

Why? American Phantoms still got a few more Variants up their sleves.
F-4N or F-4S. Though i think those are Navy Phantoms, will need to be added somewhere after the F9F Cougar.

Always feels good to go through an intense dog fight then be able to land un scaved safely at your airfield the last of the survivors 90% of the time when I leave the airfield i dont come back thats why i dont worry if i break my landing gear on take off because i wont be needing them lol
That skin is sick
More tricks to flares. You need to leave a bit of spacing between punching each flare to maximize the potential of distracting the missile. Remember that the point of flares is to pull the seeker away from you. If you just dump a bunch of flares theres a higher chance of the missile sticking onto you since it only sees two heat sources. But if you leave some spacing, theres more individual heat sources the missile sees, and as such theres a lower chance of it sticking onto you.
Fancy leading edge slats makes this Thing just a dogfighter for all Teaboos like me the FGR 2 had them too from the begining but Gajin did not Modell them

wrong. The EJ is not part of the Agile Eagle program, therefore maneuvers just the same as the rest of the phantoms. It has a slight bit of power over the F-4C, faster on the deck, and an integrated gun, along with the Aim-9J's of course.
WhooptieDo It has the same slats on the front of the wing as the f4e. The f4ej is a licensed built f4e. It does not turn like the f4c.
So after asking around to more people it seems gaijin messed up on this one and gave it front leading slats.

There's not a whole hell of alot you can do, the plane just doesn't fit the meta. You can however beat Mig21s with it...crazy enough.

Just got the Mig21MF yesterday. That this is soooo fucking hard to play stock, especially in this missile thunder meta. 8/10 times Im the only one in the team withouth AAMs

It's nice that I've gotten used to Missile Thunder and that I can still carry games with my trusty R60's
There are a few Sabers that are at 9.3. Compression is so bad in the 6.3-9.3 they aught to put in generational boundaries that the matchmaker can't break here and there., , like a 262 v sabers with AA missiles... Lots of other examples can come up with.
when i got missile warning, i do what u show here, stop afterbuner, and flaring a lot, then i feel only survived 20%, not sure why

Wait, you said the F4E is more agile then the EJ, but slower. But ingame both aircraft have the same thrust and both have slats on their wings. I don't know about irl differences but I'm pretty sure that they are the same copy paste planes under different designation ingame, please correct me if I'm wrong though.
I think it has drag issues
They have the same engine but the E has more drag. The EJ does not have the same slats. The E has an extra set of inboard slats, sometimes referred to as leading edge flaps. The maneuverability between the two is day and night.

MiG-15 Bis is amazing when uptiered, you should try it. IDK about F86, i think it's competitive on 9.3 no matter what but mig with it's compression and abysmal roll rate suffers a LOT.
I spaded that MiG flying at 10.3, forcing turnfights and intercepting tunnel visioned guys. Everyone at 8.7 can reverse a 15 Bis. At 10.3 the only threat in a dogffight is MiG19.
the problem with doing that is most people with more than two brain cells won't bother turning with Mig15 bis. I would certainly ignore you in that situation.
Hey bro, how do you play like this? You are very pro, you know if there is any page to study the planes and know how to maneuver them since I play and I'm bad at maneuvering and my aim too.
There is a problem, the model of F-4E we have in game is not the "the Agile Eagle", it is totally wrong, it is the model of an early F-4E, also the SLATS that extend while maneuvering are wrong, they should be SLOTTED SLATS, not normal SLATS copypasted from the F-4C, what we have is an F-4E FrankeinPhantom, also the F-4EJ should not have the SLATS extending while maneuvering, it should have the same performance of an early F-4E
I dont remember if it was you or not, but someone pointed this out before. Aside from the modeling, should this affect the flight characteristics or do you think that's incorrect as well?
@@WhooptieDo The flight characteristics "seems" to be the same as an F-4E Agile Eagle, but it is not positive because it has a 100 km/h inferior top speed at sea level and a lower climbrate compared to a normal F-4E, a normal F-4E would have been better, the Agile Eagle is more maneuverable but it burns more energy in a turn and is also heavier

Do you have any tips for the F-4C? I've found it's hard to follow after someone if they break off when i attack, and I haven't had much luck evading enemies if they get behind me.

So would this F4 be comparable to how the A-5 goes against other Sabres? As in it can turn and dunk on the other F4 variants?
