Hey pilots! Tricker here and I want to welcome you to my channel on combat aviation. I’m a real world pilot in the Airbus 319/320/321 series and I enjoy DCS World, Falcon BMS, Falcon 4.0, IL-2 Sturmovik, X-plane 11, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
If you want to fly WWII aircraft over Normandy and the English Channel, then DCS World WWII is for you and they have plenty of aircraft to choose from such as the BF-109, FW-190, Spitfire, P-47 Thunderbolt, and P-51 Mustang. If you enjoy modern aerial combat then you want to focus more on DCS World products such as the F-16, A-10C Warthog, AH-64D Apache, F-15, F-14, JF-17, SU-27, Mirage, Mig-29, F-18 Hornet, Mi-8, Mi-24 Hind, Uh-1 Huey, Ka-50, F-5, Mig-21, AV-8b Harrier, and the F-4 Phantom. Some of the mods that are out there for DCS World are the F-22 Raptor, SU-57, A-4 Skyhawk, Rafale, and Gripen.
I enjoy other games such as Total War, Battlefield, War Thunder, Escape from Tarkov, as well as Squad.

Thank you to the Heatblur Team and Testers involved in developing this module.
Preorder the F-4E Phantom II:
store.heatblur.com/products/dcs-f-4-phantom-1
Who were the content creators who got early access?
Wow
GREAT preview! Preordered a couple weeks ago - can hardly wait!
Interesting. But it's using the receptacle like the F-16.
@@alfredjr2k556because it’s an Air Force version of the Phantom
This is the best kind of preview. A nice showcase of some normal use-cases and standard procedures in a calm, competent manner.
Glad you liked it!
Nice, it's great to see it in action. Glad HB let you guys get to it, so you could show it off. I'll say I'm ready. I have a four day weekend coming that week, so I know what I'll be doing. It also looks fairly complete, which is good news. Nothing worse than getting module that can't do much or has limited functionality on EA release. So I look forward to learning this one inside and out.
It’s freaking amazing, and a joy to learn
@@TrickerDCS I love a challenge, so I'm sure I'll love it.
4 day weekend for me too, eat, sleep fly, rinse repeat. Tally Ho!
This is the first Heatblur aircraft I purchased a few days ago and can't wait to get my hands on it! In Turkey, it's still used and called 'Baba' meaning father. I saw a pair of ship of these ugly kings taking off two months ago. No words to describe the rumbling sound that shook me to the bone. Thank you for the one of the best descriptions in here. It's a content!
Few month ago some Turkey Phantoms were stationed at Istrana Air Base Italy for some training, very rare pics to see flying.... beauty
Just wow the ejection pull cables rustling around is incredible! 15:53 I can’t believe the amount of detail on this aircraft. I can’t wait!!!!
I also noticed this behavior(getting noticeably heavier during AAR) in other aircraft, but particularly in the F-14. Which ofc is also a Heatblur aircraft. I've trained AAR far more than I did anything tactical with the F-14. I would usually try to fill up my almost empty internal tanks as well as two entirely empty external tanks. The amount of thrust you would have to add by that, from start to finish, as well as the amount of increase of AOA/pitch up trim is significant.
i don't think that's tied to both being HB aircraft but rather to the fact they take a lot of fuel compared to ED full fidelity aircraft like Viper, Hornet, Tiger.. just a guess though
@@almightyIrie I may have phrased it a bit unclear. This effect whilst refueling in the air is ofc universal physics and has nothing to do with HB in particular, or any developer who got this behavior right as well. I just wanted to point out that it feels very well modelled. And that HB did a great job there, maybe an even better one than other developers, since Tricker pointed that out so specifically. But in my opinion I think the A-10C II and the other aircraft that I have flown actually react kinda similar. But you are right. Maybe it is more noticeable in the Tomcat because it can take so much fuel.
ahh, the sweet sweet phantom… only a little longer now!
Im going to have soooo much fun in this jet, Thanks for this vid bro!
I needed to watch this video twice. The first time it was just admiration for the great work of HB. The second time was needed to understand what was actually happening on the screen. I can't wait for this bird to appear in my hangar.
oh this is going to be soo much fun in VR! Thanks for the showcase!
I've been waiting for this module since it was first announced, and I'm happy it came so soon! I love all these videos they're pushing out.
Awesome video mate, can't wait to fly her.
Great stuff. Thanks for the video. Counting the days!
Another great vid Tricky!! Your stuff is always 1st class and impressive.
Good to hear from you
Looking great, Tricker! :) She is a beauty!
Awesome showcase! I like when videos are more chill like this sometimes and the sounds are great!
Glad you enjoyed!
Thanks!!! Great video - appreciate the preview :)
That was absolutely incredible. Thanks for sharing some very sharp virtual piloting skills.
Love the black smoke pouring out of those two big ass locomotive diesel engines
Roll coal!
I can't wait to try many of the things showcased in this video. I'll make sure I learn how to takeoff, land, and navigate, but among the first things I've wanted to try to understand is that dive toss bombing mode. Thanks for showing how it can be setup with Jester. I think it'll be quite fun delivering the huge bomb loads that the Phantom II can carry.
Nice!!! Good video bud 😎 aircraft looks awesome. Well done HB
Epic video preview man! Liked and subscribed! 🤘🏽
Excellent video. Really well done.I have mine pre-ordered 😎.Ever since I was a kid, I thought that the F4 and the F5 were easily the best looking aircraft ever. Still the best😎✅
Refueling?? I’m impressed. 😁 Thank you for the preview. Really looking forward to this beast.
Absolutely incredible! Well worth the wait.
A phenomenal, phantastic, and great review/preview of the Phantom! Thanks for making this man, looking forward to putting those J79s in burner and zoom climbing the F-4!
Thanks brother! Thanks for stopping by!
@@TrickerDCS anytime man, we’ll have to fly F-4s together sometime
@@PilotPhotog would love to brother
@@TrickerDCS cool! I’ll message you on Discord
Thank you. The Phantom looks amazing. Can not wait.
Great video. Really enjoyed the ride along.
Glad you enjoyed it roundabout
Calm, collected and professional! Awesome preview, perfect way of showcasing the F-4 for the first time.
Im also looking forward to more and maybe some tutorials too :D
I’ll be streaming it Sunday, gotta work the next few days
@@TrickerDCS I saw you mentioning that in the Discord ^^ I'll try to be there dad :)
Looks great, and the internal sounds are great, can't wait to redeem my pre-order code. Have to say though, those external sounds are... interesting. Especially at taxi speeds. Sounds more like an EV than a jet engine!
as a pilot who didnt fly F-4E, I can say that this is gorgeous
Awesome aircraft! And to top it off an awesome pilot flying it,great job!
Great flying and preview Tricker! Looks good! I hope you can show one day, how it turns and 🔥 during acm or bvr. Always good to see your content! 😎👍
I hope Heatblur is doing analytics on TTP for drawing on the windscreen

@@new-kv8pltime to penis
That was great, thank you!
Great video! One that we all needed to see and wanted. Will be looking for the next one. Try a different skin also. Thanks
Super hype-inducing stuff right here. Can't wait to try her out. But are you sure you need the "bombing computer" for D/T? Manual states: "The target can be approached from any direction, airspeed, and dive angle, and the WRCS computes the proper release point relative to the acquired track, munition drag coefficient setting, and any release advance control input (in conjunction with AWRU settings)."
I was told you need the drag coefficient, especially if you’re using high drag bombs
@@TrickerDCS That is correct...and i just noticed that drag coefficient changes based on the intended profile. I assumed it to be a fixed value for each type of bomb.
Heatblur have done an amazing job, those sounds!!
Great vid step bro! I’m super excited to fly this with yall
Thanks Hammy
A cultured man, starts off with the max mK82 loadout
Great Video Thank you!
Seriously happy to see you amongst the chosen few. Super honor!
My primaries are the F-15E, A-10CII and AH-64. I have a mega Rooster moment watching these Phantom videos - god, this thing is so old! ;)
Thank you Heatblur for this amazing bird and also to Tricker for this really cool vid. THX :)
outstanding, and amazing editing.
👍 Looking forward to your tutorials ;-)
Love that you're using the german air force special livery!
Saw that plane in Wittmund AB at the Phantom Pharewell
I could not believe the detail....the slight shake of the gear once its fully out. Cool
Cheers Tricker looks awesome ❤
Nice one! Keep on going!
Amazing job Tricker ❤❤
Why this channel don't have a billions of likes and subs ???? i subsecribed and i enjoyed alot ! Thanks .
Thanks 4 the cool video! ❤
Man i could smell the diesel smoke coming out of those beautiful sexy cans. HB once again did their job lets hope ED will keep it up. This preview was extra Special...that radio voice never gets old brother.
Great video Trickiler.
What an awesome preview my dude! I am jelous. Can't wait to fly this lady.
Danke
Nice WTD (Test Center) Skin in the beginning, saw that bird live on the Phantom Phlyout in 2013.
Really looking forward to that Module.
Thanks for rising the joy!
I was thinking the same thing! So excited to finally receive German liveries in DCS. Also nice to see a fellow DCS player who knows and has been to Manching ;)
There’s quite a few!
Great video dude
Great video!
Awesome plane, good video 😀
Awesome video!
Heckin yeah bud!!! Let's goooo!
The Skin is an actual replica of the Phantom Phlyout from the German Airforce. It was painted for the last flight in service back in 2014. Worked on the Sister which was painted blue and gold. Was the first to enter Service and the last to retire. The Black and Orange pattern is dedicated to the flight test team for the F-4F II Phantom from the german Airforce.
Thank you sir!
Oh man I'm *so* ready to go fast with some 60's rock.
Love the WTD 61 Manching Phantom Phlyout livery 😍
Impressive flying!
God, that J-79 howl is ridiculously hot.
I absolutely love that cockpit.
I've felt the Harrier get heavy during refueling, adding thrust and AoA as I go.
Yah I couldn’t remember, or it wasn’t as drastic
@@TrickerDCS It was drastic to me, because it was my first real refuel in DCS and I went from 1,100lb fuel on board to 11,000lb fuel on board. I have weird priorities. I tried landing the Harrier INSIDE the Tarawas hangar bay before I tried refueling.
Great vid, though. I can't wait to do stupid heavy loads and asymmetric nightmares in the Phantom next week.
@@TrickerDCS I feel like this happens with every module that's capable of aerial refueling since I would think the flight model would take into account the weight of the aircraft as you added more weight to it with fuel. I just think that subconciously while you're refueling and doing the required throttle movements your throttle moves up slowly in terms of it's "rough" center position without you really noticing. It might just be more prounounced on the F-4E in particular. Ejecting the canopy along with Jester could help with weight reduction though!
Well damn, I guess I'm going to start liking JESTER. Freaking awesome video Tricker. Keep them coming.
Love it!
Great job editing the video. Video sequence, voice, smooth picture. The new map of the Kola Peninsula and the new F-4 module are pleasing to the eye. I buy this module and enjoy watching the video today.
Огромное спасибо качественный контент, высокий уровень монтаж видеоряд. Ваше видео - это мой шаг покупка модуль F-4.
Thank you very much
the best way i can describe the phantom is: *aggresively sexy*
Good god the engine sounds are absolutely incredible.
It’s just so beautiful 😍
LOVE this, great to see such a steep learning curve, makes it worth the investment of time.
Totally agree!
Phantastic
Splendid! 🧐🇬🇧
Looking forward to flying this thing! It might take me away from the Hip for a little bit.
This is a love letter to the Phantom.
Nuts!
even heatblur knows your the best!
Fan-f*ckn-tastic! And the best narrative, to-the-point-useful, and non-weird voice styles in the entire community! (What on earth are you apologising for?) :)
Thanks for the review Tricker. Love your Videos. Quick question. Do you know if the selfie cam be a feature in other aircraft in the next update?
Not that I know of but I’ll see if I can get an answer
@@TrickerDCS Thanks again. Hope feel 100% soon.
YOU TOOK OF FROM MY HOME TOWN! THATS SO SICK!
I want a dirty cockpit. Looks too clean. hehe. Awesome video. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah....this? This is it. I can't wait to get my hands on this bird.
Impressive!
i feel honored by you using a german skin, we germans truly miss the f4, but f35 will be cool aswell
Great video as usual Tricker! Do u know if the jester 2.0 is coming to the F-14 module too or just the Phantom?
I’ll ask
Jester 2.0 will not be in the next patch for the F14 according to Iron Mike at HB
I Really Love the German Flight Test Livery its so great
LOL I would have LOVED to work on an F-4 that was this clean. Need a "dirty bird" mod. But what an amazing sim!
Thanks for a good video. It doesn't seem to shake by AOA like tomcat , did you control with optimized AOA? or is the F-4E better than the F-14 ?
I got a couple flights in last night finally. All in all about what I expected, which is a very good thing. A couple observations…
- On my first landing, which was a bit rough at Creech but certainly nowhere near as hard as a carrier landing, Jester makes a comment about needing the undercarriage replaced and then I find out I have no brakes. Now, I’m an old US Navy carrier guy. I’m used to planes that get slammed on a pitching deck all day long. That little tap and I lose my brakes??? C’mon, man!
- I didn’t look too hard cuz I was wanting to get in the air and I knew I had yet to spend an hour or more setting up the controls, but all I saw were skins for either USAF jets or allied nation jets. Nothing from the United States Navy. I mean, the thing was designed and built as a FLEET defense aircraft for the US Navy. They have six skins for the USAF Thunderbirds, but not one navy skin. What is up with that? As an ex-US Navy flight deck veteran that actually served on a carrier that still had a squadron of Phantoms on board, I take great offense to this.
- I may be doing something wrong procedure wise and no, I haven’t RtFM yet, but I found as I was screaming around the southern Nevada skies last night, that no matter how I set the radar up from the WSO seat, once I went back to the pilot seat, after a second or two the radar would go back to a B scope and 50 mile range. Am I missing something there? Is it supposed to do that and if so, how can I change it? Surely the pilot can do a PPI and isn’t locked into a B scope. I mean, it does show PPI for a second before it changes.
- I’m also wondering why there doesn’t seem to be a Jester command to change ranges on the radar. I can tell him to change the elevation and scan size, but not the range?
Edit: I looked again this morning and no, there are no US Navy skins at all. C’mon guys, this thing was built for the Navy!
Edit: Okay, I get it. The Navy used the B and J versions, not the E. Well, I hope they come out with a US Navy variation someday.
Good stuff Tricker!! But you didnt split the Throttle with this one :D Is Napalm one of the type lf ordinance?
It is but it’s not modeled likes napalm, ED does the weapons
Well that was cool - I hope those Jester changes make it to the F-14
Eventually
Very, very nice! That girl is just so pretty!
Sure is!
So we've got tanking and bombing from you, Sparrow and sidewinder employment from GS, Mavericks and a Pave Spike tease from RedKite... Tons of great stuff coming out! I'm still waiting to see who gets to touch on the Shrike (assuming it's in the early access release that is)
Shrike is not released to content creators in the preview build as it’s being developed by Eagle dynamics and will be available in the next patch (so I’m told).
DT looks a lot easier than trying to do manual bombing in the F5E :p I think sidekick is going to have fun with the Phantom :)
It’s pretty simple and fun
Man, I always wondered what it was like to spin that wheel. That and I really wanted to play Plinko.
