Brian is one of the most delightful Homeworthy tour guides ever! I wish he was a friend of mine. Great storyteller, sense of humor and commitment to his historical home. Can't wait to see more of this renovation.
Thank you for all the nice words. I started a RUclips channel for those interested in following along on this journey. Don’t get too excited, I can’t produce videos like this so it’s pretty much just me walking around with my phone! lol. But I definitely go into detail on the renovation. You can find it under my name - Brian Branton
I love your channel, Brian! You haven't posted in a couple weeks so I assume you've been busy elsewhere. I've heard that dining rooms ought not be green as the color suppresses your appetite. The best color to stimulate your appetite? Red! Plus all of your guests will look beautiful because everyone looks stunning in red! Probably too much of a throw back to the '90s? And I don't know the colors of your porcelain tableware but maybe red could work? Think of how pretty it would be at Christmas! Cheers from North Carolina
What an absolute delight! Brian is utterly charming, his taste is impeccable, and I can't wait to follow his renovation journey with this fascinating, beautiful historic home. Thank you Homeworthy, for this marvelous house tour.
Brian, it’s such a pleasure to watch you and see all the work you’ve done. You have exquisite taste and I can’t wait to see how the home develops further. ❤
“But it was actually a good thing”…that’s his answer to all the unexpected repairs that have come up😂 I love what he’s done so far and will continue to watch his renovation journey 👏🏻
!!!! I just rewatched the first Cedar Knoll video last night! How exciting to have an update. ....Vaguely related: would love if Brian became a regular Homeworthy contributor. He is an absolute delight.
It is always such a tremendous pleasure to see what Brian is up to! His enthusiasm is so infectious, and his sense of humor about all the "incidentals" that arise during the restoration process make us love him all the more. I can't wait to see more. His painstaking Christmas decorations are always breathtaking. We love you, Brian!
Oh my goodness! I'm so happy for you, Brian! It looks so much like the home in your favorite Christmas movie you previously mentioned in your christmas home tour, "The Gathering" with Ed Asner. But much grander. It's going to be beautiful!! I can't wait to see what you do for Christmas! So excited for you.
Brian Branton is a very amicable, host, also he enjoys sharing all of his objectives, the project management aspect of it and all. Please revisit him months from now so that we can see all in its glory. Happy Autumn/Fall of 2024.
Great job on your restoration so far, personally I can’t wait to see what you do at Christmas on the inside! Hope Homeworthy will be there to cover it!
This is one of my favorite Homeworthy stories to follow. It's awesome to see the restoration of this property and how beautifully it's furnished. Kudos to Brian!
What a delightful Homeworthy!! Brian’s home is extraordinary and his personality purely fabulous! How grateful we are that you are restoring this magnificent home to its original glory. I can’t imagine the time, patience and expensive that goes into such a project. ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Brian! So nice to see you!!! Your home is coming along beautifully and I look forward to seeing more of it. You have a most pleasant personality and make every visit so interesting. See you soon! Best Regards :) PS: I love green too!
Brian's Christmas shows are the absolute BEST! His decor is the ideal in tasteful beauty with a smidgen of whimsy, sentiment and all out enthusiasm. I'm watching last year's Christmas show right now for about the 50th time. I can't match the wonder of his energy and creativity and imagination but it makes me excited to near emulate his style. Even with the set backs Hurricane Helene caused, I'm certain Brian will enchant Cedar Grove with delight.
Brian is so handsome and the greatest story teller…..he needs his own show….what charisma and charm….please please paint the dining room green…..or RED….everyone looks pretty against a red wall….my husband agreed to our bedroom to be red also…..….I just hate blue….it is overused along with beige…love your home. Hugs from carolyn in Columbus Georgia
Mr. Branton I think you made an excellent choice in saving this great dame. I’m jealous and I can’t wait to see the next episode as you update. I’m from the South and I am thankful that there are people willing to conserve and preserve history with these old homes.
This is a fantastic project and hey Brian is making great progress. I love the stories, even the ghost story. LOL This guy has such a great personality I could definitely be friends with him and i dont say that lightly. :) Continued success on your reno Brian. Much love.
Love it ALL! I would love to downsize to something like the pool house-I would just want a separate "wing" for my bedroom and bathroom. It would be perfection! Thanks for the tour-homeowner is just darlin' and I love his passion and love for his home. Ghost story was wonderful-here in Louisiana we too have old, old properties with many stories about previous owners to share with visitors. This home is lovely and I'm so glad they are sharing their journey with all of us.
As a European, I am always amazed at the loyalty to antiques. This tour was really fun, despite my poor American. My compliments to Brian... (Ich schreibe aus Bayern/Deutschland)
Brian is one of my favorites!! I'm loving following along his renovation. Cedar Grove is beautiful and I'm looking forward to seeing the inside work and of course decorated for Christmas. 😊
I hope we get to see all the Christmas decorations this year. They are just spectacular. You are making great progress on the house. Could you save the huge oak tree to be milled?? Thank you so much for sharing.
I really wish the person filming would show you things when mentioned, instead of staying with the person. He’s such a lovely guy , loved his old house so much ❤
Love your updates. Your home will be lovely. BTW -- I think you have a poltergeist -- not a ghost. They supposedly like to make noises & move objects -- mischievous, not malevolent. Green would suit this lovely home.
Please NO blue painted rooms, but green or creme white is good. Plus the brass/ gold colors go so well with green or creme. House is looking really good!
Love the ghost story! I suggest you get a good psychic (Sterling Psychic on you tube could identify by name the spirit). Find out here name, find a picture of her? Make a blow up portrait, hang it up and talk to her and welcome her as a protector of the house.

Isn’t he charming? 😊
Well said! Exactly what I was thinking! ❤

Me too! Brian’s Christmas decor is a thing of legend. I’m eager to see what he does at Cedar Grove.
A natural presenter! I’m so happy to see an historic property being restored as opposed to destroyed as is the norm these days.
Watch for every episode and anticipate what might have been done while we were away. Brian is a natural and wonderful host! Thank you.
Can’t wait for CHRISTMAS!
So much work, but so beautifully done!!! Glad someone who lives and appreciates the house has made it their home!!!

I’m swooning over the big floral arrangement on the dining table. Hooray for screenshot 👏
What a house! They knew how to build them in the US south in those days! Thank you for the video!
So enjoyable. I can’t wait for Christmas!

Fabulous tour.
Brian had to love having a camera crew

Too many doors on the pool house, however love the improvements😊

Did the painter encounter the ghost? 🧐
Love the ghost story! I suggest you get a good psychic (Sterling Psychic on you tube could identify by name the spirit). Find out here name, find a picture of her? Make a blow up portrait, hang it up and talk to her and welcome her as a protector of the house.
Bummer. Mistake to remove the tree.
Wonder if he could be more obnoxious if he tried.
Wow - there’s always one!
