    hey, i just got a delonghi coffee machine and i've tried for close to 3 weeks but i just couldn't get the right texture of the milk froth. It'd be wonderful if you can do a video on how you froth the milk using your machine.

    I see that you have remove a outer nozzle. I tried that before. It makes the milk less foamy but it’s difficult to make latte art as it’s too weak or shallow.

    I have been holding the machine for 3 years .
    I have never been able to get a thick foam that I can get from an external frother for example "aeroccino nespresso "or "lavazza modo mio milk easy"
    The foam always comes out thin to me and it clearly affects the taste of the cappuccino so it's like zero.
    I take out the steam before and acted just like here. I use a pouring jug like here and pour it slowly like here . The espresso comes out well but the whipping actually just doesn’t work.
    Could it be that the frother of this machine is defective?
    How does it work for you

    • @macrossover7
      @macrossover7  Год назад +1

      Use milk for more fat (not skim milk), use really cold milk so it can last for a longer forth. Also release the steam for a while first before actual forth so that the machine is in boiling state when u start forthing.

      I don't know. I just push it as hard as possible so that it won't blow away most of them (it did some times :p )

    Hi Allen, with the wand, my milk foams up a lot. By removing the original wand, my milk became watery. Do you face the same issue?

    • @macrossover7
      @macrossover7  9 лет назад

      No. U have to pull down your cup gradually to create foam.

    • @exhaustedua
      @exhaustedua 8 лет назад

      Do you you start by putting steamer to the bottom or top of the milk? My milk get hot around 5-10 sec, but you hold it around 70 secs. Such a big difference in steamer beteween 310 and 311?

    • @macrossover7

      top. i put the milk in freezer for a few minutes first

    • @AutoKalashnikov
      @AutoKalashnikov 7 лет назад +2

      Ah yes. This problem is cause by water build-up in the machine. Purge your steam plenty until the steam comes out dry and use it when only the green light is on.
      Your milk became watery because all that water were injected into it. I own the same machine and yeah it happens.

    Hi, by removing the lock of the original wand, the inner part of the wand would fly off if i turn on the steam to full power. what did u do to keep it on? thx

    • @macrossover7
      @macrossover7  9 лет назад

      W Ang Hi, mine will not. Just pull it back tight once in a while.

    • @outcastatsabre
      @outcastatsabre 7 лет назад +2

      Hey. I know your comment is 2 years old lol. But i solved this problem simply by tying the wand with a long thin thread.

    • @AutoKalashnikov
      @AutoKalashnikov 7 лет назад

      I just cut bits off steam wand off so I can properly stretch the milk.
      Just remove the outer shroud of the frother and cut the long end off up to the 'line'. After that, just place and lock it back in.

    i had also removed the panarello wand/locking nozzle, but does anyone know how to prevent the pointy wand remaining (like in video) from shooting out when it heats cold milk? have experienced it shooting off in all directions when frothing :/

    I have the same Delonghi icona, but every time I take off the cappuchino accesory for better crema the little black accesory goes off violently because of the air pressure, do you guys have any idea to keep this thing in place?? Help me please I want to know how this guy do it 🙏🙏

    • @macrossover7
      @macrossover7  4 года назад +1

      you just have to push it tight every once in a while to make sure it is tightly sticked. My practice is to use a little bit of force to push it up after every usage when I clean it.

      Hi, I just remove the part locking the original steam wand

    • @DesChew
      @DesChew 9 лет назад +1

      Allen Cheuk Why did you remove that?

    • @AustinArrowsmith
      @AustinArrowsmith 7 лет назад +4

      I found it was easier to get better control of the quality of the steam wand without the locking nozzle too. Finer bubbles *right* below the surface, giving a thicker, creamier solution. With the nozzle in place, it produced very large bubbles which burst shortly after pouring, giving a deflated cappuccino.

      I'm guessing you didn't pre-heat the machine with the portafilter in long enough or you didn't run some water through your portafilter. Even cold ceramic/steel/glass cups will effect it. Try these first because my machine gets it to the perfect temperature.
