Today we're looking at his Diva Dance duet performance with singer Li Yu Gang, a beautiful version blending together different types of classical singing, and one featuring some of Dimash's highest notes ever. @@Psamathes infatti, sono daccordo, perchè per quanto sia unico come performer, come uomo è praticamente immenso.
Tu pensa che il 25 Maggio per il giorno del suo compleanno ha regalato a tutti i "Dear" una nuova canzone accompagnata da un video che ripercorre la sua carriera fino ad ora ringraziando la vita per tutto quello che gli ha dato.
La composizione è completamente sua e l'ha chiamata "Omir" che in Kazako dovrebbe significare appunto "Vita" (Da non confondere con Omir Oter che è un canto popolare Kazako del suo repertorio)
pensa quanto è umile nella sua smisurata grandezza da ringraziare per tutto quello che si è guadagnato studiando e faticando da quando aveva 5 anni.

The “New” Drunken Noble Consort is a pop style song written and sung by Li YuGang based on a classical Peking Opera of the same title about the love story between the Tang Emperor Xuan Zong and his Noble Concubine Yang, whom he was forced to order to kill herself after his royal guards refused to continue protecting him as he was fleeing the capital after it was captured during the An-Shi Rebellion. Li is a famous singer of Peking opera, but the only section showcasing his skill in that genre is the recitative at the end.

Great analysis! Dimash‘s whistle note here wasn’t the famous D8. It was still really high tho. If you want to hear the D8 sung live, then I recommend you watch „Unforgettable Day at the gakku festival“ and NOT the version on „The Singer“. It’s unbelievable and a must-watch for sure :D

That growl has elements of Eastern throat singing, really makes the Adam’s apple vibrate.
The whistle’s probably a 7th octave slide he used to do a lot in his younger Kazakh concerts.
This was a song, from an Chinese opera, The Drunken Concubine, where the emperor had to execute his favourite concubine, and they were having a last drink together.
Li Yugang is a famous Chinese operatic singer of female parts….hence the clothes.
All told, a beautiful and very rare blend of talent sound and cultures.
Dimash’s introduction into Chinese circles and blending his Kazakh operatic training in with Chinese and some western styles is so unique and classy, and exhilarating. Cant’t wait for more.

Li Yugang: Ancient Chinese tradition prevented women from performing for men at the Old Opera House in Beijing. From this tradition came a style called “Nan Dan” in which the man plays a female role in the Beijing Opera. One that was a restriction, today turned into culture and the greatest exponent of this culture in China is the singing and performer Li Yugang: Who created his own theatrical play (Who toured the world in 2015) and released several CDs (successfully of sales) he won 4 Denny award in Beijing.

Not the D8, that's during the Gakku performance of Unforgettable Day. I believe that was G7. And this was live. It was the 2nd take. There's fancam footage floating around of this performance.

This is not a D8. That note is not on the piano.
It was mentioned to be around F#7, which is the octave above the super high notes of sopranos. That's also not usually on pianos, but the number of keys of a piano can vary from even just 1 octave to very long keyboards depending on the needs of the performance. Same goes for a vocal range!
