Love your reactions and technical breakdowns. Really enjoyed it. He has a large repetoire of songs. I would love for you to react to Opera 2, followed by unforgettable day Gakku.
Li Yugang (42 ys.) is a singer and performer in the China National Opera & Dance Drama Theater; a member of the National Youth Federation. He specialises in "nan dan" role, which is male who plays female role in Peking opera. Li Yugang has released a number of CDs. (Wiki helped)
I like your sincerity, your professionality, people like us, who do not study singing, but who can understand the exceptionality of this man, it is important to make him known to the world .... I think it's something that a lot of people will enjoy....
Your admiration toward Dimash's talent and hardwork has more weight than regular listeners because you know what you are talking about, technically speaking. Looking forward to your next Dimash reaction. Btw, "Samaltau" from Japan Jazz Festival is one of my top fav.
Hi tina, almost spat my drink out listening to your reaction to dimash and Li 🤣🤣 yes they're awesome in every direction. Back in oz you will always be coach😃👍
That is the biggest compliment i have heard about getting lessons from Dimash nice one Tina Li Yugang sings the female parts in Chinese Opera both great x
I admire your simplicity and sincerity, so I follow you especially with Dimash, which for me ... is before or after Dimash in vocalization. Thank you from Montevideo Uruguay South America
Dear Tina, 2 things. Li Yugang works for an Opera company where he plays female roles because in his country they still believe in the tradition of only men playing both gender roles. Second thing is PLEASE react to Dimash's new recording of Qaragym-ai. You can feel the emotion pouring out of Dimash so have tissues ready. He thought of the composer like a grandfather and he died from this virus so the performance is dedicated to him. 🎶👱♀️👗👠👠💓
@@reddragonready Sorry for the mistake. I guess I had ANOTHER Dumb Blond woman moment! I am just glad it is not a permanent condition. But in my defense, I did say he works for an Opera company and men playing both gender roles. As a woman, it is NOT MY IDEA to continue the tradition! I am simply passing along the fact that it is STILL happening!!
Tina, just to let you know....there's a lot to this performance and a big deal, 1. It's the Chinese Spring Gala Chinese New Year TV Show that is watched by 1.4 Billion Chinese plus overseas Chinese. 2. Li Yugang is a very famous Chinese Opera singer as mentioned by others. 3. The song is about the beautiful Concubine Yang Guifei and the great emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, early 700s. (Li as the concubine and Dimash the emperor).
Hello from America. I only recently discovered Dimash after ignoring him in my RUclips recommendations for over a year. I figured he was just the latest pop "sensation" and I generally do not listen to that genre of music. I am almost embarrassed to admit that I have since watched hours upon hours of reactions to his various performances. I mostly watch reactions from professional vocal coaches, many with backgrounds in Opera. I came across your channel a couple of hours ago and watched every one of your Dimash reactions, and you just provided another excellent reaction and analysis. I really enjoy your videos, and like you, I am absolutely amazed by his incredible talent, ability, vocal range and dynamics, his delivery, as well as his stage presence. He has diligently honed his craft and developed his God-given gift for more than 20 years now and it shows. From what I gathered, he started singing lessons at 5 when it was found he has perfect pitch. He is university-educated with degrees in classical/opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has recently completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition. He graduated with Honours, having achieved a perfect score of 100%. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. as he wants to teach music after his singing career. His range is over 6 octaves (almost 7 now) but Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn but again he is doing well with it. He also plays six instruments; the dombra, piano, drums, guitar, xylophone, and cello.
You are such a love for putting it straight out there, you too have become a Dear. I was so sad to see we lost our Australian dear, Helen Reddy. Her voice never failed her.
I have never heard any professional vocal coach to say anything bad or that he needs to work on. Did you know earlier in his career some judges told him he should stop with the high notes!!!!! Thank God Dimash knew what he wanted and didn't follow his advice.
That was amazing!!! Daybreak at Bastau. It is so sad, there is a true story of a horrible cable car accident where the parents of a little boy hand him up to safety before the car crashes to the ground killing his parents. He is later adopted by the woman that pulled him up to safety. I am crying tears thinking about it. Beautiful song

Tina, the Dimash video that you are watching some part of the video are missing. Especially the part Dimash & Li Yugang challenge each other to a singing duel....
Dimash has attained his Masters in Kazakh music and I believe he's studying towards his Doctorate. So yeah! He is more than a capable teacher. Brilliant, yet still humble. He is also the Kazakhstan Cultural Attache. He really deserves all the accolades.
You are the first vocal coach that has ever said they will take lessons from dimash who wouldn’t he’s the best and ur very pretty love the video you just gained a new subscriber 👍
yes you´re right the whole world should know about him hes hes really worth it. im sure you know all television companies wants to have high ratings(views) this is what they all strive for, right? and if they show Dimash on domestic tv they will have very high ratings. so there is something very wrong when only about 10 countries in the whole world show him on tv. dont you think this seems like a conspiracy of some kind? the whole world really deserves to hear this fantastic man. and during the 4 years ive known him hes never missed a note and hes so captivating not like any other singer i watched and how he draws everyone into what hes performing.
Unfortunately the music business is not always focused on amazing talent which means many singers are pushed to the sidelines when they deserve to be heard. Thanks for watching!
Yes, it is crazy good duet. Otherwise Li is singing in Peking opera. Apparently he is singing in roles, where man is playing female, but he has also CDs, where he uses his lower voice.
