    BRILLIANT, as always! Can't wait to get check boxes.
    I also learned, from this video, when IF/THEN references values that are already boolean, I don't need to say ...C4="TRUE"...C4="FALSE"
    Makes total sense, but I never thought it through.
    Oh, and I learned you can, apparently, use emojis in your worksheet names! Very nice!!

      Retaining 'true' and 'false' could arguably make the formula more human readable, might be worth considering if others will need to understand and maintain your code. But yeah, cool to know that we don't have to use them :)

    Great video!!
    Check boxes can handle 3 state systems not only binary: ghost(deleted),unchecked, checked.
    First example can be handled by a single clm of checkboxes, ghost state means we have to buy, unchecked means we have it unpacked, checked means packed
    =SWITCH(chck box range,0,"Buy new",FALSE,"Need to pack",TRUE,"Packed")
    Other 3 state examples:
    not arrived, arrived, left
    not interviewed yet, pro, contra
    maybe, yes, no.....

    • @MyOnlineTrainingHub
      @MyOnlineTrainingHub  10 месяцев назад

      Thanks! Great idea, the only issue would be if you accidently check and box and then uncheck it, it now contains FALSE but what you really want is an empty cell.

      @@MyOnlineTrainingHub Thanks!! Tri state: deleted, checked, unchecked or bi state: checked, unchecked, are equally exposed to "accidents". Having 2 clms you can "accidentally" pack something you do not have yet.😊

    I want to correct you at 4:02.
    You have to change the maximum value to manually 100% under "format all cell based on their values" option.
    This way, the bar will fill up according to the percentage value in the cell.
    If you don't do this, the bar will be based on the highest value in the column, which might not be 100%.
    For example, if you only choose the first option, the highest value will be 25%, and the bar will look full even if the cell value is lower.

    • @MyOnlineTrainingHub
      @MyOnlineTrainingHub  Месяц назад +1

      In that case you should use the original form control radio buttons which allow you to force single selection. Very useful tutorial, thank you very much! I especially liked the flagging solution of the Filter topic.

    (Offtopic: it was nice to see you using the new Navigation Pane, for my part I would really like to see it further developed and a much more useful version released. I guess, you've also already seen that in the case of a large report, you can only use an optimized naming convention use your filter well, because unfortunately all ranges/objects are listed. I really, really miss an object filter and a pin/unpin solution to make it more customizable and efficient.

      You might need to update. According to Microsoft they are available for users on the Current Channel for Office 365 on Windows and Mac Desktop.

      @thomasferreira7818 checkboxes are now available for users on the Current Channel for Office 365 on Windows and Mac Desktop so if you have one of these licenses, then you can run the update from the File tab > Account to get them.
