She should preface that these features are only available to Microsoft 365 Insider Program users who are using the Beta channel, and is expected to be available in April 2024. This means that the feature is still in testing and not yet released to everyone.
But, actually, have they released them? I update every day and yet still don’t have checkboxes which I’ve been waiting for since last year when it was first released.
True. This is frustrating to watch these prerelease presentaions talking about something that, as not in a general availability, cannot be used for business use. As such contains also sharing and others cannot all be in a prereleas version. I think the release is called pre for a reason.
@@Nitpickerman I totally agree with you and acknowledge that this is necessary, especially for those who may go on to use these improvements for mission-critical information. My problem is that I first saw this being promoted mid-last year so any issues that have emerged should have either been resolved OR, (if it cannot be resolved), they remove the feature altogether and then others will stop promoting it. As they say in my country - "sh?t or get off the pot!'

Activating beta features is very easy; but I understand the sentiment, she made it sound like they are available right now. I know, at least, that picture in cell is available for me now as I've used it to create a dynamic catalog.
Just released to who exactly? I have the latest version of 365 and the comment section is overrun with comments about not having these features. Specifically, the check box.
My question exactly. I've heard about Pivotby/Groupby for at least 6 months and still I don't have it (I use Office 365 so should be updated on all features). I don't think it's been officially released yet but are still in Beta and only available for certain users (beta testers, MS MVP's, etc.).
Thanks for sharing the new excel features! Checkbox is my favorite. Others are handful as well. However, which excel version has these updates available? Thank you!
hi thanks for teaching but i have a question how you set icon checkbox on ribon i use office 2019 and i bring this icon from develp option then i selected four cells and clicked on checkbox but it isn't possible can you show me how set these checkbook thans alots
Checkboxes are still not available for Excel for the MAC even for office 365 users. Which is a bummer.. Apparently they have different design teams and the Mac lags behind.

I also don't have these updates and I am part of the insider program running Excel 365. Have done the updates too and still no sign of these new features.

It is May 2024. I have been seeing videos on nearly ALL of these features in Beta since October or November of 2023. How can you call these new? They are not even in the Insiders Current Version yet. And Microsoft has said they will be released in April. Why are you calling these NEW when they are not for any of the release channels? Click bait.

little confused....seems like this video is indicating that ALL these features are currently available and after watching this and updating my version and seeing a most of these features are not coming up on my version. If they are not really available to general population the video should not be making seem like it is. Nice clickbait not a good way to build a reputation/following. She did a nice presentation, but if its bogus information not a good thing. Be honest with your information please.
The Pivotby function causes workbook crashes. Unless Microsoft has corrected that train wreck in the last two weeks I would recommend not using it in an important workbook.
CLICK BAIT...not generally available. And IMHO checkboxes in this example a solution looking for a problem. In my use cases it is also important WHEN it finished. Just add a date instead of a checkbox and you have a visual clue AND can calculate the duration given a start date.
Thanks for this useful tutorial
Loved the video. So insightful!

It's May 2024
I see, no wonder i can not find it.
Thank you.. will these be available soon for Excel on MAC ?
I love the pivotby function for its dynamic behavior. It is very useful difference compared to the classic pivot
I really liked your video, thanks for sharing!
Wow, I love Data from the pictures tool.

Yet another wasted video… she’s about 6 months late on the “checkboxes are coming soon” train.
This video is very much useful and more important for Advance Excel Users.
Picture tool - data insert, navigation pane especially if it's an unfamiliar sheet - pivot by maybe have to try them all :):):)
Thank you for this very useful video! The navigation pane is a real game changer for me :)

I’m ready to play with the pivot by. There could be a delay based on feedback from the beta group. That’s what I’ve heard anyways.
Good video ❤
Do you know when the checkbox feature will be available to all
Thanks for sharing the new excel features! Checkbox is my favorite. Others are handful as well. However, which excel version has these updates available? Thank you!
Awesome, Thanks!
Hey, I like your videos. They are great
Unfortunately I have Excel 2021. I wish I had the new Excel! My favourites are the Navigation pane and Import Data from Picture, so practical!
Navigation feature is the most promising for me.

What is version of your office?
I have still not received this new checkbox version in my Office 365 yet. Please guide me how to get it
Nice
Group by and pivot by
when will these be available?
I have been extracting data from photos for work for a couple years now. Is this something new?
Does anyone know when a Microsoft 365 user would have access to the new checkbox ?
In which version of Microsoft office can I get a second check box apart from the one under the developer tab. My Microsoft version is 2021.

How comes I'm not able to get this on my Office version?
i tried the navigation pane. Instead of bringing the table to the page, it is moving to that tab
Which Excel Version has these new updates available?

Checkbox, as proposed, is not possible in Belgium. I wait impatiently.

same here
I'm still using excel 365. i can't see the new functions

its now 5/19, and I am on the beta channel, and I still don't have these features.
I need help
Those features been available on the insider program like for a year now… I gave up on them by now…
Why has it taken MS so long to implement check boxes? 🙄

instead of
=COUNTIF(C3:C14, true)
here's a much simpler formula:
=SUM(--C3:C14)
Enjoy
Thanks!
